I was in a press conference with the mayor currently giving his farewell speech. Eucliwood, Mordred, X and Siduri were all standing behind me as I sat on a chair.

Mayor: "And with this I conclude my term as mayor. I shall be passing the torch onto someone who single handedly lifted Kuoh's economy by an astonishing margin only ever capable in fantasy. Ladies and Gentlemen, Mr. Y/n L/n"

I stood up to an applause as well as some comments about how young I am and if I had what it takes to be mayor. I shook the former mayor's hand as I took to the podium.

Y/n: "Hello ladies and gentlemen of the press. I am Y/n Gilgamesh L/n. I know many of you may be wondering how a young man such as myself was capable of picking up the aftermath of what was left by the mayor's of the past. It was quite simple, I had a team I trusted and believed in"

I point to them.

Y/n: "These people right here are the ones who pushed me every day to do better. The ones who helped me in my conquest to helping those who were less fortunate. If it weren't for them I wouldn't have been able to accomplish such a feat by myself. U thank them truly from the bottom of my heart"

Mordred: "Ugh, why does he have to go and embarrass us like that?"

Y/n: "From here on out I shall declare them my royal cabinet"

I could hear the people talk amongst themselves but I paid no attention to them.

Y/n: "I would like to also say something before I continue"

The crowd silences as I look at them with a calm demeanor.

Y/n: "I will no longer be mayor"

Press: "What?! Did he just quit on his first day?!"

Press: "This has to be some type of a joke right?"

Y/n: "I step down from being mayor because there will not be anymore mayors after me. The title of mayor will no longer exist in Kuoh from this day forth. I will take up a new mantle. King"

Press: "Is he insane?! King?! He's definitely joking now?"

Press: "This is why we don't allow children take power"

I slam my fist into the podium as I regain their attention.

Y/n: "You all have questions and I'll get to them. For now, just listen to what I have to say"

I step out the podium and walk over to the edge of the elevated platform.

Y/n: "From this day forth. I, Y/n Gilgamesh L/n, will be the King of Kuoh"

The press is filled with mixed emotions as the all raise their hands to ask questions. I stood with my hands behind my back and nodded to one of the reporters.

Press: "Are you aware that you are directly telling the people of Kuoh to summit to you?!"

Y/n: "Telling? I never said such thing. They are free to leave if they want. I'm not forcing anyone to stay under my kingdom"

Another raises up as he voices his opinion.

Press: "With all due respect Mr. L/Mr. n, are you aware that people will riot against you?! Being king? That's absurd?!"

I sigh as I walk towards the window.

Y/n: "Well, the people are out there. Why don't you hear them out rather then trying to say your opinion speaks for the majority"

The press walks up to the giant window to see the people of Kuoh gathered together chanting something.

Press: "Are they..."

Crowd: "KING Y/N!! KING Y/N!!! KING Y/N!!!"

They couldn't believe what was going on outside. Hundreds, thousands, of people gathered chanting the name of the man they all adored for bringing prosperity to Kuoh in a rather short period of time. I smile as I make my way to the balcony to see them all. I raise my hand as the crowd calms down and silences.

Y/n: "People of Ku- No, my people. I hereby make the announcement official. I, Y/n Gilgamesh L/n, am your new king!!"

The crowd erupts into a cheer as they celebrate.

Y/n: "As king, I have new things I'd like to add and address. Firstly, to those of you who don't like the idea of me being in power, that is a fair point. I'm not promising to be great by any stretch of the imagination. I can only promise that I'll do my best to try and be that. But I believe my body of work speaks for itself. In the minimal time that I've been here, I've helped businesses that were on the brink of collapsing be successful. Families that needed help because their government couldn't support them keep food in their houses as well as helped them financially"

The press couldn't believe the control he had over the crowd as they each looked at him with admiration.

Y/n: "To all my students that will be starting, are in the middle or exiting college, I hereby state this. Your debt has been wiped clean. You owe nothing"

I could hear them cheer once again as I raise my hand up once again to silence them.

Y/n: "This doesn't come without its requirements. You will have to maintain high grades if you'd like to keep it that way. So make your king proud and do well, not just for your sake but for your families sake. I'm sure they want nothing but the best for you"

I take in a deep breath to relax a little as Siduri comes and whispers something into my ear that puts a smile on my face.

Y/n: "To all the homeless. I have established a few apartment complexes in Kuoh that you all may live in. They too come with requirements. You will be left with money to make it through the year as well as rent paid for the year. My only requirement is that you get a job. Work to make Kuoh a better place. Whether it be a fast food restaurant or aspire to be CEO of a company, just do what it takes to make your life better than it was before"

I could see some of the people in tears as they finally get to stay out the streets for the last time.

Y/n: "To those of you with families or simply live by yourself who have been laid off due to some businesses dying off in the past worry not. I have plans to establish thousands of jobs so that you don't have to ever worry about whether you'll be able to feed your family"

Press: "What is this kid? How has he been able to do all of this without even being in power yet?"

Y/n: "Military. I will establish my own army led by one of those in my cabinet. Mordred"

She walks over to me a little nervous.

Y/n: "To any of you wondering why I have her as general to my army, it is quite clear. She is the strongest person capable of leading one here. I trust her to undoubtedly keep all of you safe. If you trust me, then I know you should all be able to trust her"

I could hear the crowd chant Mordred's name as I signal for the next person to come forth.

Y/n: "Siduri here will help be my CFO. Whatever comes from her mouth regarding strategies to keep all businesses in the profit zone will be law"

Up next was Eucliwood.

Y/n: "Eucliwood, she will be my assistant as well as queen to the throne. Should I be busy on matters, she will be who will be in charge while I'm away"

Lastly, X walked up.

Y/n: "And finally, X, she will be in charge of our air force. She will keep our skies safe so you don't ever have to worry about anything"

With everyone to my side I smile as I face the crowd.

Y/n: "And this, people of Kuoh, I give you, my Royal CABINET!!!"

They all cheer as I raise my fist up.

Y/n: "And here's to having a prosperous Kuoh. May you all stay safe and have a wonderful day"

I say as I walk back into the room with my team behind me.

Y/n: "You asked if I even had the support of the people on my side. I think that should answer your question"

With that I leave and head towards a private room away from anyone where Ahri was waiting.

Ahri: "Beautiful speech my king"

Y/n: "Take us home"

Ahri: "As you wish"

We teleport back to HQ as the girls wait for us with a surprise party. They all come towards me and congratulate me on my accomplishment. Tiamat gives me a big hug as the rest start to eat.

Tiamat: "I'm so proud of you"

Y/n: "Thanks mom"

I walk over to the rest, pulling out some wine from Babylon and continue the celebration until it hits night time. Everyone fell asleep except for me. Akagi was sleeping on Kaga, Eucliwood was sleeping inside Ahri's tails, Mordred was being smothered by Tiamat's boobs once again but didn't seem to care this time, X was sleeping on Siduri's lap. It was a perfect picture in my eyes as I head outside for a bit. It was slightly cold but didn't really seemed fazed by it. I went towards the lake and sat down on the shore. I stared up into the sky before laying down on the grass.

Y/n: "I finally did it.. I finally became king"

I felt a sense of victory. I have had battles in the past but this one seemed like my biggest victory yet.

Gilgamesh: "I'm proud of you"

Y/n: "Thanks"

I could hear some footsteps coming in my direction as I take a look at who it could be.

Gilgamesh: "I think I will excuse myself out"

Y/n: "Hey"

Amagi: "Hi"

Y/n: "Shouldn't you be asleep by now?"

Amagi: "I thought I'd join my king"

I pat next to me as she comes over and sits down.

Y/n: "You know, despite me always saying that I am king and all.. I never thought I'd actually get this far"

Amagi: "I always believed you would"

Y/n: "Thanks for believing in me"

Amagi: "Of course, you believed in my strategies too"

We both look up.

Y/n: "I guess I made the right decision in choosing this place huh?"

Amagi: "I'd agree"

I sit up and stare at the lake.

Y/n: "If it weren't for the cold, I'd invite you for a swim"

Amagi: "And I'd gladly accept"

I think about something and open a gate.

I pull out a flying throne and walk over to it. I extend my hand to her.

Y/n: "Care to join me?"

Amagi takes my hand and I hold onto her. We fly off towards the sky as we reach the level in which planes would fly at. I get up from the throne and walk over to the edge with her in my arms. I indicate her to look down to see Kuoh and all the beautiful scenery around it.

Amagi: "For it being a rather scary altitude, it sure has a beautiful sight"

Y/n: "She sure is"

She holds onto me a little tigher as I look down.

Y/n: "I wanted to show you this. I'll be expanding wall around the city as well as putting dingers that will protect the people from anything that should be wanting to cause trouble. But I don't want the gorgeous surroundings to be blocked. I want you to help me with that"

Amagi: "Sure, I'll help you"

Y/n: "Care for a trust test?"

Amagi: "A what-"

I jump off Vimana and fall to the ground as I continue to hold onto Amagi.

Amagi: "Y/n!!!"

She was freaking out but I stayed with a calm attitude.

Y/n: "Do you trust me?"

She looked at me and calmed down.

Amagi: "Y-Yes"

I smile as we stop falling. She looks down and sees me floating in the air. She then notices me not wearing my casual clothes.

Y/n: "What's wrong?"

Amagi: "How are you?"

Y/n: "I wasn't aware of it. I seen Gilgamesh be able to do it so I decided to give it a try"

Amagi: "We could of died if it didn't work"

Y/n: "But that's where this was going. It was a trust fall after all"

I look her in the eyes.

Y/n: "And you trust me"

Amagi: "Of course I do"

She looked away and whispered something I couldn't hear.

Amagi: "I... ve.. u"

We slowly start to descend as we admire all the places we could visit with the rest. I suddenly see something that catches my eyes.

Y/n: "Something's not right"

Amagi: "What is?"

I fly over to it before descending onto the ground. I see a cloaked figure walking through the forest with some animals in a cage. The figure's power was relatively strong.

Y/n: "Who goes there?"

??: "It isn't of your concern"

I open some gates.

Y/n: "I don't like asking twice so I'll tell you this once more mongrel. Who are you?"

The figure turns around and throws some type of explosion magic towards us. I grab Amagi and jump away from his attack. He runs away and seemed to have escaped as he enters a tree house. He puts his gatherings on a table as a lady is strapped to a chair.

??: "Finally. Got away from that-"

A sword flies through the window and hits him in the leg. He screams in agony as another one hits him in the hands, pinning him to the ground.

Y/n: "Brave of you to fire in my direction, but such resistance was futile from the start. That little attack of yours couldn't even make a scratch on me. Now"

A gate opens near his face as a sword points him in the face.

Y/n: "Back to the questions. Who are you, and what are you doing near my kingdom"

??: "Like I'll tell you"

Y/n: "Pity"

The sword fires and kills the man as I look around. I find a woman tied to a chair as I walk over to her. I open some gates and release her.

Y/n: "There, you are free"

I walk over towards the door as I feel a hand on my shoulder.

??: "Wait. Let me thank you for helping me"

I get a good look at her and sense her power.

Gilgamesh: "Her power?!"

Y/n: "Strong. What's your name?"

??: "My name's too difficult for you to understand. Just call me..."

??: "Merlin"
