Y/n POV

Hello there. My name's Y/n L/n. I'm currently laying on the floor, bleeding out as a sword appears to be lodged in my chest. Even though my life's been tough, I've always tried my best to find a positive meaning to my life but to no avail. My mother walked out on me and my father when I was 6 years old for some fancy rich guy. Meanwhile, my father tried his best for 2 years to keep our little family together, but the depression regarding my mother's departure was too much for him and ended up dying from an overdose. He would drink a lot when I was asleep. Ever since the age of 8, I would continously work hard. Keeping a smile on my face trying to avoid the harsh reality I was going through. I'm all alone. I'm currently 18, and I just got fired from my job because of something I didn't do. A girl from my job told my manager I sexually harassed her because I didn't want to do her job. Fucking bitch. I could hear some rustle up ahead from where the sword came from.

??: "I feel some magical presence around here. Shirou, Saber, keep an eye out for Archer"

A mysterious girl in red appears from the forest followed by two others.

Shirou: "Alright Tohsaka. Saber"

Saber: "Of course Shirou"

The sword starts to slowly disappear into golden dust as they notice me.

Shirou: "Hey!! Up ahead!!"

The boy, looking around my age, charges to me and kneels down next to me.

Shirou: "Hey, you okay?"

He tries to reach for the sword but his hand goes through the handle. He turns to the girl in red for answers with a desperate look in his eye.

Shirou: "What do we do?!"

Rin: "There's nothing we can do"

Shirou: "But he was hit because of us. We have to do something, Saber?"

The blonde girl looks away.

Rin: "Shirou, we can't do anything. All we can do is make his death as comfortable as possible"

The guy kept trying to find a way to fight for my survival but the girl in red, Tohsaka, ignored him as she went around him towards me. She lifted my head up and rest it on her lap as she brushed my hair and hummed a little tune. I felt my mind be at ease. For the first time since my dad was alive, I felt like I could relax and not worry about anything. I felt a soft smile grow on my face as slowly, my consciousness drifted away. A few seconds later and I heard my heart beat for its final time.

3rd POV

Tohsaka lifted his head up once she sensed his heart stop beating. She laid it back down as she looked up at the other 2 angrily.

Rin: "We can't have this happen anymore. The grail is still there and we need to destroy it or more deaths like his will occur"

Shirou clenched his fist as he looks at the dead body in front of him.

Shirou: "I'm sorry that this happened to you. I will avenge you and the many others who lost there lives to this war. I promise you that"

He looks over to Saber who nods.

Shirou: "Tohsaka. I'll use my final command spell on Saber to destroy it"

Rin: "Let's go then. Be wary of Archer still possibly being alive. Even in his state, he's still a threat"

Shirou: "Right. Saber, let's go"

Saber: "Yes master"

They run off from where they came from. Y/n suddenly opens his eyes as he looks around him and he notices he isn't dead anymore.

Y/n POV

Really, I can't even die in piece yet? Why do I got to keep going through this pain-

??: "Would you look at that? I couldn't even kill a lowly mongrel who wasn't even part of this"

A man with golden hair manifests in front of me. He seems to be missing his arm as he starts coughing up blood.

??: "That faker. To think that rabid dog could injure me like this"

He falls to one knee and he looks up ahead.

??: "If only there weren't two of those fakers, I could of taken them out. I could of had my Saber"

He laughs out loud. He tried to get up but falls down to one knee once again. He starts to glow while his body starts to turn to dust.

??: "Curse this damned time. If only I had another me as well. I would need a vessel. With that white haired faker going down and the red haired injured, I would be able to succeed"

He started thinking about something before looking down to me. He grew a disgusted face before looking at himself disappear.

??: "Listen up mongrel, I don't have much time before I end up disappearing. What I'm about to do is give you is a chance to live"

He places his hand on his chest.

??: "Rejoice you pathetic, lowly human. I'm about to give new meaning to this useless and sad life of yours"

He digs into his chest, pulling out his heart but it didn't look like an ordinary heart.

??: "I shall now inhabit your body where I'll recover and soon take over. In the meantime, I shall offer you the greatest gift anyone has ever and will ever receive"

He pushes his heart into my chest. I immediately felt an incredible amount of pain as I felt my injured heart merge with his.

??: "My treasure~"

His body turned to dust as it entered through the cut in my chest. I felt my body start surging with power as gold marks start appearing around my body. It couldn't withstand the pain I was going through. My mind faded away once again and I passed out.

??: "Hello there, can you open your eyes?"

I could hear a voice calling out to me. I slowly opened my eyes to find a pale woman wearing a weird outfit.

??: "Hello there, good to know you're still with me"

I look around me but I can't recognize where I am at. I'm no longer at the place I was at anymore.

??: "You seem to have been caught in the crossfire of a war you weren't supposed to have been involved in the first place"

Y/n: "What am I doing here then?"

??: "I'm here because of your connection to the man who saved you, Archer"

Y/n: "Saved me? But-"

??: "He may have his own reasons for doing it, but at the end of the day, he did save you. Even giving you his power"

I look at my body as I feel his power surge through my body.

??: "Under normal circumstances, I shouldn't intervene, but I've been sent here to grant you one wish. As an apology from the grail for having involved you into this war without you even knowing what's going on. So tell me, what will it be"

She smiled at me.

3rd POV

Tohsaka and the rest arrived at the grail and nodded to them to destroy the grail.

Shirou: "Saber, by my final command spell, I order you to use your Noble Phantasm and destroy the holy grail"

Saber: "As you wish master!!"

??: "So, what will it be Y/n?"

Y/n: "... I wish"

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Rin: "Saber!!"

Saber looks over to Tohsaka.

Saber: "What is it Rin?"

Rin: "There's something wrong. The grail is spilling out!! Destroy it now!!!"

She brings her sword up as it glows a golden color, spirals of wind swirling around it.

Saber: ""EX-!!"

Y/n: "I wish I could just live in another world. One where I can live a normal life"

She smiled as she places her hands on my head and brings it over to her lips  kissing my forehead.

??: "Granted"

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Saber: "CALIBUR!!"

She drops her sword directly onto spewing disasters. The energy blasted from it heads towards the grail, destroying everything in its path.

I felt my mind go hazy as I start getting nauseous. I fall back as the lady smiles at me.

??: "Have a nice life Y/n"

Y/n: "Not... again"

Everything goes black and I knock out.

3rd POV

The beam hits the grail, destroying it as the three of them sigh in relief. Shirou races to Saber as he asks her a question before she can disappear to which she smiles and accepts, stopping her from dematerializing.

Y/n POV

I open my eyes and find myself looking up at a ceiling. I look around some more and I notice I'm in a room.

Y/n: "Where... am I?"

I sit up from the bed I was sleeping on and find a note on a small table in front of me.

Dear Y/n

I hope you enjoy your new life that you wished for. Make it the best life you could make it and I wish you nothing but the best. Be aware that the servant you met, known by the name of Gilgamesh, is still present inside your body. I pray that you two can get along in this new world, unfamiliar with the Holy Grail Wars. It is currently in the middle of Age of Gods so Gilgamesh's power is significantly increased with the amount of mana in that world. Anyways, I hope you enjoy it nonetheless and be happy.

I put down the note as I head over to the closed window and open the curtains. I look out to see a beautiful city filled with bright colors.

Y/n: "Here's to a new life huh?"

I heard a knock on the door. I turn around and make my way towards it and notice a box in front of me. I look around and see I'm currently living in an apartment, apartment 6 to be exact. I pick the box up and bring it inside, putting it down on the small table before opening it up to find another letter.

Hello Y/n, it's Irisviel again :) Just to let you know, you are now scheduled to go to school and this is your uniform once school season starts. The school you'll be attending will be Kuoh Academy. This book will help you navigate through town and reach it. Have fun!!! :)

I put the note down as my jaw hangs.

Y/n: "I'm going to school?!"

I've never been to school in my life. I spent it working every day and now out of nowhere I have school?! God I hope it's similar to what I leaned from working at my world.

I fall back onto my bed, exhausted from the thought of doing something completely new to me.

Y/n: "When do I start?"

I check the back of the letter to find another small note.

By the way, you start tomorrow. Good luck.

I feel my soul leave my body as I lay down about to lose my mind.

Alright, first chapter done. Let me know what you all think of the book so far. There's a few things I got to explain. 1, Gilgamesh is residing inside the Reader the way Galahad is inside of Mash Kyrielight in Fate Grand Order. Just wanted to make it happen the way Siegfried gave his heart to Sieg in Fate Apocrypha. I'm free to any criticism you may have, unless it's about when I'm releasing Arms Around You Vol 2, in that case you are in the wrong story buddy. Unless I've already released it, in that case this last point is irrelevant. In any case, I hope you all enjoyed the first chapter and stick with me for the ride, as always I hope ye enjoy :)
