Grace's POV
"Grace Asher is here"
"Okay i'll be down in a second"I finished my last curl as it spiraled off my wand and half way down my waist.I slipped on my cream colored halter dress and touched up my lip gloss.I grabbed my floral backpack walking down the steps to see Asher my absolute best friend
"Asher how have your studies been oh darling that dress looks great on you"
They've been good thank you Mrs.Colton"I gave Asher a hug and he gave me a friendly kiss to my forehead.
"Have a good day darling remember I won't be back for two weeks"I nodded kissing her cheek.I climbed into Asher's truck.Asher is my best guy friend we did everything together since we were 5.He is very protective of me at all times.
Princess what are you looking at Asher murmured and I shook my head.
Nothing I murmured.When we pulled into the school parking lot my curls blew behind my shoulders.I shivered slightly I should of worn a jacket over my dress.I felt the smoothness of the leather brush against my bare arms as it was drapped around my shoulders.
"Here princess put this on can't have you getting sick"
"Thank you Asher"
"Your welcome"The jacket was quite big on me considering how he is very muscled compared to myself.Asher's arm went around my waist.
"You look stunning today Princess"
"Thank you"I opened my locker and grinned it was absolutely covered with pictures of me with Asher.We took one every year on my birthday that we made special in some way.I closed my locker after grabbing my history textbook and notebook.Asher tucked a loose curl behind my ear his fingers sliding down my collarbone to my necklace.
"I'm glad you loved your necklace Princess"
"I love all the presents you've given me"For my birthday last year Asher gave me a diamond necklace and then the matching earrings at Christmas.I never take them off I love them too much.Asher's lips kissed my cheek.
"Remember you promised we'd get to try this weekend"
"I know Princess I haven't forgotten"I pressed a kiss to his cheek as he growled lowly.I rubbed my cheek against his soft maroon muscle shirt.The bell went off and we walked to our History class.I sat in my seat behind Asher.We were the only ones in the room right now since I made sure we were always early.
"Princess are we going to your house after school"
"We can or we can go too yours"
"Princess my siblings are home"
"Never mind"Asher's siblings had a tendency to burst into Asher's room for no reason.I smiled as people started walking in.Alicia and my small group of girls that I actually like walk in and come crowd my desk as they admired my dress and curls along with my ankle boots.
Ouch I grumbled when Alicia punched my arm. Asher growled and she apologized.
"Why didn't you message me back last night"
"I fell asleep"
"I guess I should know this by now"I nodded and rubbed my arm removing Asher's jacket wincing when i seen the bruise.I pushed down slightly gasping at the sudden pain.Asher turned quickly at the sound of my gasp.
It hurts I whispered and he kissed the bruise gently.
"It will be okay Princess it will heal quickly"Asher turned and shot daggers toward Alicia making her gulp.
Ashy i'm okay calm down I whispered my hands clutching his.He visibly relaxed and I slid forward in my seat.He kissed my hands and his hands played with my fingers.After History was over Alicia pulled me into the bathroom somewhere Asher couldn't follow us.
"I'm really sorry"
"I know you are and it's okay Asher will calm down"She let out a deep sigh and I rubbed her arm.Asher was by our lockers waiting intently for me.
"Please don't say anything to Alicia"Asher scoffed and I wrapped my arms around Asher's waist.
Please for me I whispered rubbing my thumb along his cheek.He sighed and I pushed my hand through his brown hair.
Fine he grumbled and I stretched on my tip toes.He looked down at me and cupped my cheeks.The bell went off just as Asher kissed my lips softly.
"Love you princess"
"Love you more"Alicia spun me away from him making Asher growl.
"Come on we are going to be late for home ec"I groaned it was my only class without Asher.Asher kissed my nose before releasing me.We walked into home ec to see yards of fabric and I ran my fingers over the floral patterns.
Today we are making dresses our teacher announced and I grinned.
"We will be working in groups of two but you have to make two dresses you have 3 weeks for both dresses"
Three weeks Alicia whispered and I pulled out my sketch book flipping to a fresh page.I sketched a simple halter dress quickly and Alicia gasped.
"This is amazing what color where you thinking"
"It's for you so you go pick while i sketch mine"She brought back scarlet fabric as i finished my sketch.
"Oh that's beautiful Grace"
"Thank you Ms.Carter"
"What about a floral fabric with a scoop neckline and it could be a high low"
"I was thinking mid thigh but i'll take into consideration thank you Ms.Carter"
"Your welcome Grace keep up the good work"She walked on and we took home a enough yards of scarlet fabric to do the skirt of Alicia's dress.The bell went off and I was distracted by the fabrics.
"Princess let's go your going to be late"I looked up too see Alicia gone and Asher outside the doorway.I took Asher's hands and he grinned.
Guess what we are making I giggled unable to hold in my excitement.
"What are you making princess"
"Dresses"
"Mm your favorite can't wait to see it on you"I hugged my sketch book and he kissed my temple.We walked in to College Algebra and I sat at the desk Alicia and Asher on either side of me.

"Princess here eat your lunch"I unzipped my floral lunch pail and Asher dug into his lunch.I pack our lunches every morning.I got a turkey caprase sandwich with a small container of fruit salad and three of Asher mom's homemade triple chocolate brownies.My mouth watered as I took out my raspberry flavored water Asher bought for me.I smiled at Asher before he had focused on the two huge wraps filled with steak and maybe a vegetable or two.He also had some Doritos the spicy ones and a water.When lunch was finished I had Chemistry with Asher and then English to round of the day.After we got out of school we drove to my house and I unlocked the door Asher tugging off his jacket and I walked into the kitchen.
"What are you up too princess"I pulled out a container of fresh starawberries and ate a couple before putting them back.Asher helped himself and we went up to my room and I rolled around in the middle shifting from his chest and my pillow.Asher finally growled pinning me beneath him.
I'm hungry I whispered and he nodded climbing off me and pulling me against his chest and helping me back into his jacket and I slipped on my shoes and we got in the car.
"Where do you want to go"We decided on Burger King and I stayed quiet my legs still tingling.
"Are you okay princess"
"I'm okay"
"Your surprise is coming up soon"
"It is"I remember when we were 12 Asher started missing all this school and it continued for a couple years until we hit high school.He always told me he would tell me when I turn 18 which is a week away.
"Asher can I ask you something"
"You can ask me anything Princess"
"Why do you growl so much"
"I just don't like people getting too close to you especially after Kaden"I shuddered and looked down at my food.The memories come flashing back of the party sophomore year I had finally hit puberty and had gotten more than an A cup breasts and my figure became more defined.My body filled out and that drew attention to me sadly meaning Kaden noticed me.He was the hosting the party that night and we had gotten drunk most of the kids in our class.Kaden had me pinned against the wall his hands and lips all over me.Thankfully Asher had stopped it before it went any further and took me home.I clung to him that night sobbing and he held me tight whispering anything trying to get me to calm down.The next day was worse Kaden had gotten my number sending me texts on how he wants too have his way with me.Asher eventually seen them causing Kaden to get the shit beat out of him.That night Asher and I shared our first kiss and from there we took off.
It's hard to believe that was a year ago I whispered and he kissed my hair.
"I love you"
"I love you too Ashy"He kissed me softly and I closed my eyes falling deep into his kisses losing myself.
