Lisa POV

I was just lazing around in Alex's house. I don't know what's taking him so long. I sent him to get food 10 mins ago and he still hasn't returned. At this point, I don't even know why Iris says that he's the fastest wolf. 

Suddenly the doorbell rang. Must be Alex I said to myself and opened the door only to reveal Mark.

"Hey hon", I hugged him.

"Lisa we need to talk."

"sure"

he has never been like this to me. Why is he acting so cold and distant. Must be Iris's influence considering they have been spending a lot of time together these days. No offense Iris

"So what do you wanna talk about"

"Lisa, I don't wanna beat around the bush... Let's break up", he said calmly.

"What? are you nuts?"

"Lisa, just listen to me"

"fine. Explain this bullshit quickly"

"remember that day I asked you to smell a medicine"

"yep"

"Well. It's not a medicine. When you inhale it, you can feel your soulmate"

"So?"

"You said it smelled like Alex's cologne"

"So now you are telling me we are breaking up because you think he's my mate?"

"I know he's your mate"

"Mark don't be stupid. You could have made a mistake"

"Lisa, ask yourself. Do you feel the same way about me and him? When does your heart beats fast? when you are with me or when you are with him? Who occupies your last thoughts when you are about to sleep and your first thoughts when you wake up? Tell me Lisa"

I thought about it. My thoughts were all about Alex ever since he entered my life.

"B-But"

"No Lisa. I'm doing this for your own good. I can't steal you from your mate. I'm 100% positive that he likes you too. Not only that, you are an alpha. You have to be with someone who can back you up in all circumstances."

"Mark, You have helped me a lot too. After my memory loss, you we always around, making me smile."

"But I was the cause of your memory loss"

"What?"

"hard to believe, but yes. The vamps came to me and said you tried to kill yourself, you had an unpleasant past and stuff like that. So I took away your memory."

"But you wouldn't have done it If you knew the truth"

"But still, I did that and I don't wanna hurt you again", he said like he was about to cry.

I took a deep breath, "Mark if you wanna break up, let's break up. But I need time to process all this"

"Thanks for understanding Lisa"

"No. Thank you for helping me figure out my feelings."

Mark POV

There, I did it. How am I gonna survive now. Don't overreact. It's just breakup. People do it all the time, A voice inside my head said. But they don't have true feelings like me. How am I gonna get over her eyes, her dimples and most importantly, how am I gonna get over her.

I was lost in thoughts, that I didn't notice the person in front of me. I bumped into him.

"Sorry", I said.

"I heard it", he said.

"What? Alex? how long have you been standing here?", I asked.

"IDK, Since you started talking about breakup, I guess?"

"You know, it's bad to eavesdrop", I chuckled.

"Will you be ok?", he asked out of the blue.

 "I'll be fine. I'll just take some anti-depressants and get over her."

"No Mark, Anti-depressants can't heal a broken heart."

"I'll erase my memories then"

"You loved her. Why did you do this?"

"Because, love means letting go"

"What? that's bullshit"

"You won't understand kiddo. Anyways I gotta go. see ya"
