So, today was my ROTC Awards Ceremony and we were instructed to avoid passing out by bending knees, hydrating, you know, the normal things to keep somebody from passing out. So about twenty minutes in, I saw my classmate fallout beside me and walk off behind me. I fell in beside the next person in the flight as instructed to do so previously. Next thing I know, I hear this very familiar voice in my head. (I do not know whose voice, however it seems extremely familiar, almost like a brothers, even though I never had a brother). It said to me "look to your left.". And so I did. And there was my classmate making some arm movements to signal me to run over there as quickly as possible. This is where it starts to get a bit interesting. So on the table that we had set up for a water station was Phil, he was completely out of it. He could not see, he was barely able to hear us and it took him about ten seconds to respond to simple questions. Anyway, while I was examining Phil (I have slight medical knowledge), I heard this familiar voice guiding my movements and telling me exactly what to do and when to do it. After I diagnosed Phil, (heat stoke, a possibly life threatening condition) we got an ambulance called in and he was transported to a hospital where they had the materials needed to treat heat stoke. I -after the ambulance had left- went back to the ROTC room as we were dismissed. I simply sat in the desk and closed my eyes. I thought -half towards my self, and half projecting my thoughts to this voice- "Thank you for helping me today. I appreciate all that you have done for me." I then that exact same dragon from my earlier encounter in my sight, even though my eyes were still closed. He turned and faced me and he said, "I will always be with you, I am here for you and I will walk alongside you as a brother, and as a friend."
