Thunderbird 2 ( Jonson ship)

Thunderbird 2 is International Rescue's heavy equipment transporter , use primarily for missions dealing specifically with the Earth's atmosphere. It is the transport vehicle for several smaller rescue vehicles held in pods, although its capacity for heavy lifting makes it useful in its own right during many rescues.

The craft's main pilot is Jonson , who is sometimes accompanied by some back-up crew members aka Sarah, Apps, Glynda when she come to see them on the island and some times Lily

Cruising speed: 2,000 mp

Engines: 2 variable-cycle gas turbine engines operating as turbo fans at low speed and supersonic combustion ram jets at high speed; 12 variable-cycle turbo-ram cruise / trim jets in tailplane; 4 vertical take-off turbo fan jets in main body; 4 vertical take-off chemical rockets in landing legs

Height: 60 feet

Height (with pod lowered): 110 feet

Thunderbird 3 ( Sarah ship)

Thunderbird 3 is International Rescue's single-stage-to-orbit (SSTO) space vehicle, designed for space rescue and maintaining the systems and crew of Thunderbird 5. Like all the Thunderbird machines, it was designed by Brains. Its main pilot is Alan Tracy, with his brother, Scott, usually acting as co-pilot.

Thunderbird 3 uses chemical rockets for lift-off and boost, an ion drive for propulsion while in space, and chemical retro-rockets for reverse-thrust in space. It could travel from Earth to within range of the Sun in 65 hours.

There are a number of levels within Thunderbird 3, accessed via a single-person lift. The primary cockpit is located at the uppermost level and contains the primary control console, seating for two and airlock access. A second room contains rescue equipment, including a control console for long-range transmissions such as a safety beam that can be used to trigger retros of distant space ships.

Its primary pilot is designated as Sarah , although Lily is presumed to pilot Thunderbird 3 during space rescues when Sarah is on satellite duty. (Both store their respective uniforms on board, depending on who is "on call" at the moment; although Lily never actually seen there.)

The interior of Thunderbird 3 was originally decorated in beige, red and light grey colours. However, like all of the Thunderbirds, it underwent redecoration and refitting to a darker colour scheme and more comfortable and secure seating.

Engines: 3 chemical rockets used for launch, landing, emergency boost, and orbit change; 3 ion-drive particle accelerators used in deep space; pitch and yaw rockets: 12 in middle ring for course corrections, 20 in nose and 24 at rear for attitude adjustments

Emergency acceleration: 10 g

Launch thrust: 4.5 million pounds

Length: 287 feet

Main body diameter: 23 feet

Maximum sustained acceleration: 6 g

Nacelle span: 80 feet

Power source: atomic fusion reactor

Range: unlimited

Standard acceleration: 1 g

Weight: 562 tons

Thunderbird 4 ( Apps ship)

Thunderbird 4 is International Rescue's go-to vehicle for underwater rescue - a yellow mini-submarine, piloted by aquanaut Apps. Unlike Thunderbird 1, 2 and 3 - all of which are capable of travelling to danger zones under their own power - TB4 fits comfortably within its own specialized pod - Pod 4 - aboard Thunderbird 2, which then transports it to where it is needed.

TB4 is equipped with a versatile arsenal of sophisticated gadgetry - including a missile launcher, a searchlight, a battering ram and a laser, all of which are located in the nose of the sub. It is capable of travelling on surface water (hover mode) or underwater. Its small interior is equipped with an airlock for access and exit while underwater.

Emergency launch jets: 4 vertical-thrust hover jets and 2 x 25 liquid fuel mini-rockets

Emergency launch speed: 30mp

Forward and reverse drive: 6 electrically driven reversible axial-flow turbine impellers

Length: 30 feet

Main turbo drive: 2 axial-flow turbines providing forward thrust only

Maximum speed (underwater): 160 knots

Maximum operating depth: 30,000 feet

Power source: twin atomic fusion reactors

Surface cruising speed: 40 knots

Underwater speed: 160 knots

Weight: 16 tons

Width: 11 feet

Thunderbird 5 (Lily ship)

TB5 is one of the most - if not the most - important of International Rescue's fabled Thunderbirds. It has a number of radios, covering most frequencies, and speakers that allow the operator to listen to incoming radio signals. Without its sensitive equipment, calls for help could not be detected, rendering the whole organisation useless.

Should TB5's main control room sustain damage or be otherwise rendered non-operational, all monitoring functions automatically transfer to a duplicate control room built for this purpose. Computer systems are independently-powered via the adjacent solar energy panels, and all data is duplicated from the primary systems.

Like all the other Thunderbirds, TB5 has the capability to transmit and receive both audio and video.

n addition to the spacious control room that features the sensitive listening equipment, it has been observed to have a bedroom where the crew can rest when not on-duty. Rescue calls detected by the station's computer are broadcast to the bedroom for attention of the operator. lily is able to access these communications wherever he is on the station, at any given moment. Further more there's more to it than just the bedroom: there are accommodation areas for more crew members if the need arises, along with other facilities to make Thunderbird 5 lily girl-cave.

Diameter (including meteor deflector): 296 feet
