It was Saturday and finally Mirabel's birthday. Mimi watched as Fara and Lola got dressed for the party, their mother had brought gowns for each of them from the boutique the previous day, she'd instructed Mimi and Lara to also attend the birthday most especially Mimi.

Immediately Mimi got back from her therapy session which somehow cheered her up unlike the past few ones that reopened her wounds, she got dressed in the blue body con gown her mother had given her.

"Won't you make up?" Lola turned to Mimi and Lara who were busy watching film on Lara's phone.

"We don't need it," Lara replied without looking away from the phone.

Lola shrugged, "Okay oo, Fara be fast with my make-up, you don't want us getting late to the party, we might not see somewhere to sit."

Fara chuckled, "There's no way we won't find somewhere to sit, though she invited the whole school but you should know this girl."

"Whatever," Lola waved her hand and Fara nodded before moving closer to apply the finishing touches.

They finally left for Mirabel's place after some minutes, walking down the estate, Mimi enjoyed the warm ambience and decided to always stroll.

"Oh my goodness," Fara shrieked as they walked into Mirabel's compound, the one that was now filled with the whole Maple students.

"This is beautiful," Lara commented and Lola swung her gaze to her.

"You too you can see, let's find a seat," Fara admonished and others nodded before following her trail.

"Let's sit there, gosh, I'll be able to admire Christian for as long as I like," Lola gushed as she pointed at an empty table that had four chairs around it, it was actually opposite the one Christian and his friends were sitting along with Inaya.

Lola waved at Christian who ignored her immediately she sat down while Lara laughed mockingly.

"Just know his girlfriend his beside him," Fara said to Lola who lifted her shoulders in a half shrug.

"And so? I only waved at him."

Lara wanted to talk but the appearance of a server stopped her.

"What can I get for you? We have everything."

The girls exchanged glances before Lola talked.

"You girls should place your order first, I have to go see The angels," she rose to her feet and left immediately without waiting for anyone's response while Mimi stared at her retreating figure.

After placing their orders, the server left and Mimi suddenly felt the urge to pee, she signified to Fara who nodded before standing up. Squeezing their way through the hormonal teenagers dancing and screaming, they finally entered the mansion.

Mimi looked around the house and realized it was so similar to Madam Lisha's house.

"The toilet is over there, I'll wait for you here," Fara said and Mimi nodded before going to the direction Fara pointed at.

She got out couple of minutes later only to realize Fara was no longer in the living room, she squeezed her face and looked around for some seconds before deciding to go back outside, immediately she stepped out of the mansion, she felt a warm hand drag her.

Her eyes almost popped out of its socket when it met with Alex mischievous one.

"Hope you're enjoying the party so far?" He asked with a smirk and she attempted to walk away but he dragged her back and slammed her back on the wall.

Mimi felt a slight pain course through her and she glared at him.

"You look damn sexy in this cloth, I didn't know you look better in other clothes," he said lustfully while trailing his hand across her face, she slapped his hand away and he laughed before looking around.

"There's no way I'll let you go tonight," he smirked before dragging her into the house. Mimi wondered where Fara could have gone as she looked around the living room only to realize she and Alex were the only ones in the house which was as silent as a graveyard, fear settled inside her upon the realization, the mansion wasn't close to where the party was being held, no one would save her tonight, she shuddered immediately she felt his hand on her face.

"What's wrong with you?" Alex bellowed.

She flinched while he moved closer to her, grabbing her neck forcefully, he smirked before lowering his head to her lips, Mimi pushed him away quickly and he chuckled before pulling her closer to him. She knew she couldn't fight him, he was stronger than her in all ways, a lone tear escaped from her eyes before she finally found the courage to slap him.

"Did you just slap me?!" Alex thundered and Mimi cowered at the intensity of his voice, she made to walk away but he pulled her back by her hair.

"You can't go scotfree after slapping me," he told her with a crooked smile dancing on his lips, grabbing her neck angrily, he lowered his head to hers, he was only an inch taller than her so it wasn't hard for him to be in the same line with her. A smirk played on his lips as he watched her try to move away from him but his grip on her was very tight, his face moved closer to her and the space between them reduced to a tiny bit, just as he almost placed his lips on hers, a voice broke the kiss even before it started.

"What are you doing?" A voice Mimi recognize to be Christian asked, she heaved a sigh of relief before jerking away from Alex.

Alex smiled as he turned back to Christian with a small smile, "We were trying to have a couple's time before your interruption."

Christian scrunched his brows as he glanced at Mimi who shook her head.

"Couple's time?" He questioned with raised brows and Alex smiled.

"Yeah, she's my girlfriend," he wanted to wrap his arms around her shoulders but she moved away from him quickly and walked up to Christian who gave her a questioning look, she glanced at him before running out of the mansion in a hurry while praying Alex didn't come after her.

"Where have you been?" Lara inquired immediately Mimi sat down and heaved.

"What of Fara? You look pale, is anything wrong?" She observed and Mimi shook her head before downing the water in front of her.

"Are you sure?" Lara asked again and Mimi nodded as she picked up the spoon ready to devour the meal in front of her. She needed something to calm her down and forget about what happened earlier.

Sunday morning, Mimi walked out of the house without any one knowing, they were still asleep, she'd woken up early not like she had a good sleep so far what happened the previous day still kept on tormenting her. She decided it was best she strolled that morning before others awoke to get prepared for church.

"Hey," Mimi heard someone call as she walked pass Mirabel's house. She increased her pace while wondering who could be calling her.

"Hey, Mimi," the person called and she stopped abruptly knowing the person would surely know her, the fact that he mentioned her name was a reason to believe he knew her.

"Mimi," the person called again, this time he was now beside her, she looked at him and instantly recognised him to Christian's friend, Michael, the football captain, they'd somehow gotten along ever since the incident with Kingsley.

She managed a smile at him and he smiled in return, "I actually stay in this estate too, opposite Mirabel's house, I didn't know you always take a walk in the morning."

She shook her head and smiled at him.

"Let me walk you home," he offered and she nodded, he kept on trying to make a small conversation with her as if she could respond him but then he somehow lightened her mood.

He waved her bye immediately they got to the gate and she waved in return before heading to her place.

"Ah, you're awake?" Sindara queried in surprise as Mimi walked into the living room.

Mimi nodded in response and headed towards her room without waiting for her mother's answer.

Not quite long, others awoke and they all got prepared for church, while having the breakfast of bread and egg, Sindara talked.

"Ehn, we'll be going to Lisha's art gallery after church, it's the anniversary and there'll be an art exhibition today, Madam Lisha wants us to come," Sindara announced.

"Wow," Fara and Lola uttered in unison.
