"Craig! What are you doing up?" Bebe sputters going behind my chair, not turning her back to Craig and placing her hands on the back, as if she were using me as a human shield.

"I should ask you that."

Bebe blows a puff of air, making her hair sway slightly, "You don't know what you heard-"

"I think I have a pretty good idea-"

"You don't know anything!"

"Apparently not! You're in love with someone-"

"Shut up!"

"If you love someone else, why are we even together?"

"It's not that simple!"

"Yes, it is! If you love someone else you should be with him-"

"It's not that simple!"

"Why would you put me through all of this-"

"All of what? I haven't done anything wrong-"

Craig raised his voice to higher pitch, clearly mocking Bebe, "We should move in together. You're going to be so much happier with me-"

"Shut up!"

"Why should I? You don't even know what you want-"

"Yes I do! I know for a fact that I don't want you!"

"Then why are we together!?"

"I don't know!"

"What do you mean!?"

"I don't want to be with you, but I don't want to be alone!"

"I could tell you that!"

"I can't be with who I want to be with-"

"Why not?"

"It's not that sim-"

"Why not?!"

"I can't-"

"WHY NOT-"

"Be cause she's with someone else!" Bebe stiffens and leans forward over the back of my chair. Everyone's silent for a moment as Bebe begins to cry, "I can never be with her. She's with someone else- she's with a guy."

Bebe wipes her face as she backs up, "She'll never see me the way I see her." I look at Craig, but he's not looking back at me. He's watching Bebe as she shivers and crys.
