Josh is standing there. He looks so incredibly lost. Not physically; He knows right well where he is. He's lost emotionally. And you know emotions better than anybody.

"God," he repeats. He runs his hand through his wild red hair. "I thought he was with you."

You bite your lip and quickly write, He hasn't been here for 5 days, in your notebook.

Josh's face falls.
