~TAEHYUNG POV~

I felt that something was off in the air. I just knew there was, it was unsettling and I couldn't sit still. By the border I was busy talking to Hoseok with another two more warriors. Just instructing them to stay alert and something was going to happen. I just felt it in my bones.

Even with knowing something was going to happen, Y/n flashed across my mind. I know she's safe with Jisoo today and Namjoon and Yoongi also being there to keep her company. Hopefully they distract her enough to stay busy because Y/n out of everyone if she saw me now would know something was wrong by just one look at me.

Hoseok patted the mans back after giving instructions and together we walked away to the next base that needs seeing too. A few words here and there. I could mind link but I'd rather speak in person so they know the seriousness of this situation. I have to be alert and cautious today.

Walking away in silence with Hoseok by my side I stopped mis step when I felt the hairs on the back of my neck stand up and my whole body stiffened. A breeze brushed passed me flowing an unfamiliar scent in the air and I knew there this was the real deal.

Quickly turning back around on my feet I growled lowly just in time to see an unknown man charging at me full speed. Prepared for this I pushed Hoseok away and charged back at the man but made sure he was passed the border line entering my grounds before laying a hand on him.

"Taehyung!" Hoseok

I ignored him and grabbed the man around the waist and tackled him to the ground, sending him flying to the ground. He growled back at me, punching me in the left side of my face but I just hit him back the same way but harder. The force created a loud crack from the guy and he fell limp under me. Well that wasn't much of a fight.

Jumping back up to my feet several more men and woman, rogues came running from their cover across the border into my pack lands. I spotted Hoseok already still in human form wrestle with another rogue across the dirt floor.

"Jisoo! Take Y/n back to the house and downstairs! Namjoon, Yoongi get your asses here, the rogues have come! Jimin, Jungkook go to the house and protect it with your lives! Anything happens to Y/n I swear I'll kill you both myself!"

Shutting off the mind link I changed to my wolf form, large and dark chocolate brown before running off to tackle another wolf that had just pinned Jin down after he showed up to help. Biting down on the rogues neck I twisted with great strength until he fell limp and I let go. I checked on Jin and he nodded at me as he stood back up and took off running.

"We're at the house Tae!" Jimin

"Good. Protect her with your life Jimin."

"Of course I will!" Jimin

The sound of a child cries picked up my ears and I followed it towards the further trees more inside the pack lands. The chaos around me was hard to miss, growls and snarls filled the air with my people and the rogues fighting one another along with the strong stench of blood.

I found the child curled up against a tree, crying in their hands and screaming for his mom. I recognised him straight away. He is the child of one of the hunters, he must of snuck off from his mother at the wrong time to try and find his dad.

Spotting a wolf approach him with full speed and snapping jaws I ran towards the rogue and charged into him, snapping my jaws around his throat and ripping out his flesh before taking running off again.

"Jin come take this child back to his mother!"

"I'm on it!" Jin

I lost sight of my delta but I'm sure he's fine.

Mid run I stopped and howled in to the air. Warning others to hide or either join to protect our pack. It lasted several seconds before I took off again, tearing apart anyone that dares to approach me or was simply in the way.

A wolf took my attention and I noticed the way he charged through the sea of wolves like a wolf on a mission but then I noticed the direction he was running to and I panicked.

My house.

An enraged roar left me and I sped off after that wolf, no doubt in my mind now that this is the Sehun that Yeri warned me about. She said he would try and get to Y/n to get to me and that's exactly where he's heading.

~Y/N POV~

About to follow Jisoo down stairs I stopped when I heard Taehyungs growls. I would know that's him out of anyone. Ripping my hand out of Jisoo's I ignored her screaming my name and rushed towards the door again. I don't know what possessed me to but I opened the door with a loud bang to witness the mayhem outside the front porch.

I couldn't spot Jimin anymore but Jungkook was in the middle of taking on two wolves at once. One pinned while another on his back trying to snap at his face.

Taehyung just kicked another wolf from him using his back legs but that same wolf quickly rolled and got back up to just tackle Taehyung to the floor.

I wanted to scream but I couldn't. Already half way out the door Jisoo grabs me again and pulls me back.

"Y/n what the fuck do you think you're doing?!" Jisoo

Taking my hand from her I just quickly signed to her about Taehyung needing help but she growled at me lowly and tugged me back inside. About to close the door again, another unknown growl came from the porch and it sounded very close.

Both of us turning our heads in that direction I stood frozen to see this big grey wolf slowly stalk its way up the steps, baring it's teeth at us and licking it's lips. It was very scary.

Jisoo again yanked me back, making me stumble against my feet before she stepped in front of me and just leaped into the air and changed mid way into her wolf just to tackle the grey rogue off the porch and back onto the front lawn.

Stood there frozen I didn't know what to do.

Jungkook was still busy but instead of two wolves it was just the one and he threw that wolf across my lawn and watched it collide into a tree. Jimin just leaped out a tree and landed on a wolf that was trying to snap at Taehyungs face while fighting the bigger rogue out the lot of them. But my main sights were on Taehyung.

Watching him fight this wolf with all his might made me helpless and I didn't know what I could do to help him.

One last time Taehyung managed to get up off the floor, headbutting the rogue and then stomping on his face with his large claws as it fell to the floor howling in pain. Taehyung looked up at me with his dark red eyes, I knew he was asking me if I'm alright but he was mainly also telling me to get back inside and shut the door but I cant just leave like that.

But what happened next caught us all off guard.

The rogue got back up to his feet, snapping his jaws around Taehyung's back leg and dragged him back until Taehyung was on his side. Then pinning him down as quickly as he could using his body weight the rogue chomped down on Taehyung's throat causing Taehyung to howl with snarl in pain.

Jimin tackled the rogue off him and the two wrestled across the ground.

But Taehyung didn't get back up.

He just lay there, whimpering.

Without a thought I ran to him. It didn't matter that the fighting continued, something was wrong with Taehyung.

I got to him as he changed back into his human form but when he did, his wound on his neck gushed with blood and I instantly picked up his head to my lap and pressed my hand to his wound to stop it. His hands were shaken when he took my other hand and everything around me in the background became non-existent.

Already tears running down my face, I cupped his cheeks and kissed his nose as he looked up at me with his half opened eyes. Jin and Yoongi ran to my side, trying to apply pressure to his neck after removing my hands but Taehyung and I's eyes never left each other.

Those eyes that held so much life are fading before me, I again I'm helpless to help him.

"Yoongi pass me the morphine!" Jin

"It's not gonna work! His body temperature will just burn it off!" Yoongi

"Well we have to try something!" Jin

They poked and prodded at him and Taehyung hissed in pain when Yoongi removed just the slightest pressure from his neck.

"Y-Y/n, I love y-you. So m-much." Taehyung

He coughed up some blood and I panicked even more. Wiping his blood away with my own hands but Taehyung just grabbed my hands to stop me, lightly shaking his head.

"No matter w-what happens, Y-Y/n, be happy." Taehyung

Why does it sound like he's saying goodbye?

Shaking my head I denied it straight away. Tearing running down my cheeks to land on his face which I wiped away just as an excuse to touch him even more.

"T-This was suppose to h-happen Y/n. I'm sorry." Taehyung

Still shaking my head I closed my eyes, bending down to press my forehead against his. This is not what was suppose to happen, no matter what anyone else says.

His shaken hand reached up to my cheek to caress it after swatting away Jin and took the chance to kiss me on the lips.

"Y-You wont be alone. I-I promise. You have a-another mate, h-he'll protect you." Taehyung

What?

Gripping onto him for dear life I didn't want to accept anything that was happening right now.

"Goddess, I love y-you so much." Taehyung

That only made me cry harder if that were possible. I took his hand from my cheek and placed it on my stomach. Something that I found out today was that I'm pregnant and I was hoping to surprise him later.

Taehyung blinked back his tears, groaning in his pain as Yoongi applied more pressure.

"I know Y/n. I-I know. I've a-always known. I'm so sorry." Taehyung

He gulped and rolled his head back, hissing in more pain but I held him in my arms, resting on my lap.

This man has no idea how much I love him and hes dying in front of me. Becoming breathless, I was trying to spit out what words I could, for once in my life say something that needs to be said. Pushing with all my might that a voice, even if some comes out and tells him just this once how much I love him. Until...

"I...love...you."

I managed to croak out with a small whisper of a voice, shocking not only myself but Taehyung when his eyes actually grew in size before breaking out in a pained smile.

"Y-Your voice i-is beautiful. I love you t-too." Taehyung

I managed to force out a smile before kissing him again but when I pulled back from him, wiping his hair from his face, taehyung's head became limp and his eyes rolled to the back of his head. A little breath left him before he stopped breathing completely. Placing a hand to his chest, I felt nothing, no heart beat, no movement as he breathes, nothing.

Yoongi sighed heavily and removed his hand lowering his head while biting his lip. Jin cursed and stood up throwing something away but I stayed and clung onto my husband, my mate in this life and forever will be and now he's here in my arms. Dead.

Holding him close to my body, crying my heart out I looked up to my surroundings to see a now much bigger rogue, standing there staring at us and I swear he was grinning. Behind him were still other wolves fighting but he's just watching my pain as Taehyung dies in my arms. Now that he's much bigger and killed Taehyung that could only mean he took Taehyung's alpha authority.

Not on my watch.

Keeping that eye contact with him, I took a deep breath, swallowing my pain for just a second before I let it all out.

Holding that breath for just a few seconds I began to scream at high pitched range. This time it wasn't draining me, in fact it felt overpowering as I released my pain into the world and directed it all towards the rogue.

Many wolves fell to the floor, whining and whimpering, this massive rogue that killed Taehyung also dropped to the ground, kicking his legs and paws in the air as he tosses and turns in excoriating pain. I kept going and going as I made sure this rogue doesn't get up.

But to my surprise, one wolf wasn't affected as much as the others. Every rogue was dying in pain on the ground, others I knew were on their knees in pain but not to the extent it would kill them but this one jet black wolf slowly stalked over behind the whimpering wolf, dangerous eyes set on him.

Only did I stop when I witnessed that my friend, pounced on the rogue, locking his jaws around the rogues throat and tearing out the flesh and spat it out and stared down the dying rogue until he finally fell limp and died.

Still covered in blood, my friend looked up at me and his eyes softened. He started to walk over to me, still hugging onto Taehyung's body and despite his wolf form, growing more muscles and slight bones cracking it didnt stop him from coming to lay beside us and rest his head down on the floor and started to cry also side me.

The love of my life is gone and my heart was breaking inside. I've never felt my chest in this much pain before, there's nothing like it.

Taehyung will always be the love of my life.
