~AUTHOR POV~

This evening was a special day in the pack for everyone but more importantly the couple that were committing themselves under the moon as per tradition as every wolf must but tonight is different. Not only are two to become one but also a new alpha is to be taken his new place in the pack.

No long just the son of the alpha but to be an alpha himself.

With blessing from his father and the goddess herself under the moon, everything is to be taken place smoothly.

Everyone in the pack gathered in the village centre.

Wooden stage up front for all to see, the large fire between the stage and benches laid out for the people to gather and take up seats to witness this event for themselves. Still a few whispers here and there to have a new Luna, a mute on at that but nothing too serious to be discussed since the Lee family are very much respected in this pack even for being humans. They are treated no different and Y/n defiantly will not be if her soon to be husband has anything to do with it.

People gathering as music played for entertainment.

Only for the music to stop in silent when the current alpha, Mr Kim stepped up onto the stage with his wife. Showing their power to the people one last time as Alpha and Luna. Mr Kim's beta to stand to the side lines next to Jimin who is next in line to be beta just to be accompanied with the nervous Taehyung.

He strolled along the stage looking around to everyone gathered to watch. Taehyung suddenly felt shy, even more nervous than before. Even after being told that Y/n was on her way here already he cant help but to worry if she'll run off and have last minute second thoughts. She's not a wolf, but she's human and as Taehyung reminded himself every day.

Y/n is his human.

Nervously standing next to his father, his mother showed him a reassuring smile mentally telling him to calm down and that only helped just a little.

Only when Y/n's scent brushed passed his nose along with the light breeze. That only calmed his nerves, complete disappearing into nothing. Just to feel the presence of his mate close by opposite the burning fire could he already feel more relaxed, powerful even. Only could she do this to him, only Y/n, his true mate.

Standing tall, hands folded over the other in front of him did he carefully watch Jisoo suddenly appear, rounding the fire towards the stage and soon followed by Y/n's mother. Both women walking towards the steps of the stage, bowing to Taehyung and his parents and out of respect to bow back.

They are about to be one big family after all.

Music started playing again and Taehyung felt his the air leave his lungs as soon as he saw Y/n walking towards them with her dad holding onto one arm and her brother with the other. It wasn't planned that Jack would do this but Y/n really wanted her brother to walk along side her. Especially after their little moment back at home.

Taehyung couldn't take his eyes off the most beautiful creature to ever have existed in his eyes. She walked like the goddess herself, her every move light and she was just glowing despite her nerves.

The two made eye contact and Y/n couldn't stop the blush upon her cheeks where as Taehyung thought it was adorable.

Coming to the stage, Y/n was gently handed over to Taehyung by the hand after Jack and Mr Lee finally let go of Y/n but of course Jack being Jack had to give him a warning glare. A silent warning that he would kick his ass if something happens to his little sister and yet Taehyung doesn't mind but to nod to Jack and then thanking both men before they walked to the back of the stage to join Mrs Lee and Jisoo.

Taehyung stepped forward with Y/n holding her hand but eyes roaming her dress, the very dress he was desperate to see her in. He was actually speechless to her beauty yet he knew she was nervous about all this so gently in the small act he pulled u her hand to kiss the back of her hand tenderly to calm her nerves but this only made her blush all the more.

The Alpha, Taehyungs father stepped forward gaining everyones attention.

"Welcome everyone. It's a wonderful night to finally bring together Kim Taehyung, my son and Lee Y/n together to be committed to one another as true destined mates and to change over positions from myself as alpha to my son, Taehyung." Alpha

Y/n's grip on Taehyungs hand tightened but Taehyung only responded by keeping that firm grip on her hand just to look around to the crowd of people.

"First we will commit the pair under the moon so the goddess herself could bless this bond between two." Alpha

Jisoo came rushing over, taking two rings from her small pouch to pass onto her father. Passing the simple gold bands in his hands just to resume her place. The alpha in taking the rings both passed each Y/n and Taehyung a ring and gestured for them to face one another in which they did.

"By placing these rings on one another, do you both vow to commit to one another until death do you part?" Alpha

"I do." Y/n and Taehyung

Both the speak at the same time, resulting in Y/n to giggle yet slipping that gold ring onto Taehyungs finger first then Taehyung to repeat the same action to Y/n.

"You may now kiss and show the pack to who you belong." Alpha

Taehyung growled from possession to his mate now his but only to be fully committed tonight when he claims her as his. His arms around her small waist, eyes pooling between their brown and red staring her small form down he didn't waste anytime in smashing his lips to hers. Stunned to the sudden public act of dominance from him, it took her a couple more seconds to realise what was happening until finally he kissed him back melting under his touch.

Only to pull back from one another when the alpha spoke again, authority in his voice just to point out the moon light was shining down on the couple the whole time. The moon goddess giving her blessing to the commitment of two mates despite the difference between them.

Next the alpha took his scared knife from his wife bowing to one another but both sharing a reassuring smile. Not filled with sadness but proud. Not only of each other but that shared feeling towards their son.

"With this knife, I pass on my blood to my son and next alpha in line under the light of the goddess to witness this event." Alpha

Holding onto the knife, stepping over to his son, Taehyung already knowing what's to come holds out his palm to his father determined to get this over with and take on his birth right.

First the alpha sliced his palm so easily in one clean cut and then to proceed to do this to Taehyungs palm. One slice of the flesh allowing both hands to bleed until they link hands, exchanging blood and Mr Kim allowing all alpha power through their bond and the light of the goddess to flow to Taehyung. Mr Kim's once red eyes turn a bright amber shade as he stares at his son in the eyes, watching them change from brown to bright crimson red.

Taehyung could immediately feel the difference in himself, welcoming the power and greater strength. It was overwhelming and yet he felt like he could burst at the seems but knowing his mate is by his side there to keep him under control. Know he understood why traditions allowed only mated alphas to take on their role. Their wolves need it to keep themselves from going mad with power.

Mr Kim taking his hand from his son, allowing the wound to heal itself he bowed to his son, kneeling down to the floor lowering his head. Other pack members and friends copied the actions, getting down on their knees to bow to the new alpha standing before them under the moon light with his mate and new Luna standing by his side.

Y/n didn't know what to do but to grab onto Taehyung, pressing herself to his side which only made him snap out of his intense gaze to his people and soften his eyes to his mate. To his one and only, wrapping his arm around her waist to kiss the top of her head.

Now it was official.

The pack had a new Alpha and Luna. The new Mr and Mrs Kim to lead them all as his ancestors had before him.

To a new beginning.

Little did Taehyung and Y/n know that someone among their friends was watching the ceremony in pain. Kneeling down bowing to the new alpha and luna he couldn't stop the burning sensation in his chest that made him want to howl to the loss of something he didn't know he had.

Why now?

How could he find this out now?

Every since the goddess blessed the couple of their commitment to one another, the pain has only increased the longer he stays.

Now he had to stand by and watch one of his best friends be mated to someone he just found out to be his mate too.
