~Y/N POV~

Rise and shine to start the day. I always loved this time of year, the sun comes out shining bright but there's always the gush of wind here and there to keep you cool and the leaves start to turn their yellow colour, it's really nice.

I like to get ready for the school day bright and early, doing my morning routine and preparing myself for the school day. It's my last year of high school. I'm nervous this year as my big brother Jack, yes he has an English name. He had graduated last year so this would be my first time going to school without him but luckily I'm not bullied or nothing at school just a few whispers here and there about my disability but I've ignored it for so long I don't actually know what they say about me anymore.

But at least I'm not going completely alone by friend jisoo always walks to school with me and back. She doesn't feel comfortable in leaving my side when I leave the house and my parents worry about me too but still knowing as well as I do that no one in this pack has made me feel any less.

Already to start the day I happily skip to the kitchen for breakfast. My mother was already placing breakfast out on the table while my father sat ready the local pack paper and my brother stuffing things into his bag in a rush. He actually has a interview working in the community office that work along side the alpha on real matters and problems. It's a big deal in our family because we are the only human family to ever live in the werewolf community ever. I asked once about the story of how that came to be but my father simply told me I wasn't ready to know the story yet but hopefully I do one day.

"Good morning dear." Mother

I use my fingers to sign back to her, just to say good morning. She smiles and waves me closer to the table.

I'm not deaf, I just can't talk. It's like I never had a voice, when I was a toddler I should of been talking but for some odd reason just nothing came out so I use sign language with my family and close friend, my only friend and when I go out I make sure to have a white board with me to communicate with others since sign language isn't really taught here.

"How's my beautiful daughter on this beautiful day?" Father

He places the newspaper down to look at me with all smiles, leaning back in his chair. I sign him back to say I feel really good about today and that I'm excited yet nervous about going back to school without jack.

"You'll be just fine without me y/n." Jack

He must of seen me sign. He comes up behind me and hugs me.

"You'll do great don't worry too much. By the way have you seen my lucky pen? I can't find it anywhere." Jack

He pulled back to scratch the top of his head. Of course I know where it is. I sign him to say he left it on my desk last night when he was writing down a list of things for me to do if I start to panic. I get really bad panic attacks sometimes when I'm overwhelmed or having a bad day with the fact I'm mute. I do have my bad days sometimes.

"Oh what would I do without you." Jack

He rustled my hair that I had neatly brushed and ran up the stairs to my room. I rolled my eyes and smiled to take a seat the table to enjoy some breakfast, I was starving.

Jack soon enough came running back down, staring his goodbyes and off he went to his interview. He didn't have time to chat or he was going to set a bad example by being late to the interview.

"What time is jisoo coming? Aren't you both walking to school together?" Mother

She now too took a seat with a cup of tea in her hands. I nod at her and sign that she should be here any minute now and then in que the doorbell rang. I dropped my peace of toast on my plate and sprinted to the door and ripped it open but not literally I'm not strong enough for that.

"Y/n!" Jisoo

She squealed and pulled me into a hug. When we pulled away I told her I would just grab my things and then we'll head out and she nodded smiling away and waited for me. I ran around the kitchen like a mad chicken, gathering my bags and white board making sure I had everything on me I needed and then kissed both parents on the cheeks saying my goodbyes in sign and then heading out the front door with jisoo.

"Think Y/n this will be our last year of school then onto bigger and better things in life!" Jisoo

She wrapped her arm around my shoulder as we began to walk down the single path way that leads to the school. I smile at her and silently laugh at her I sign at her that I'm hoping to move on and become a teacher, that's the dream despite my inability to talk. I will teach sign language if I have to in order to achieve my dream, with permission from the future alpha of course. But I also have the perks of being the best friend of the current alphas daughter, so that's a big bonus in my books.

Luckily I've known Jisoo all my life so she knows how to read sign, just like her twin brother, who I also use to be very close to but he drifted away as we grew older. I doubt very much he remembers much sign, but is still very friendly with me though.

"Of course you'll be a teacher. How can my brother even say no to that face!" Jisoo

She pinched on of my cheeks and I playfully swat her hand away. Laughing away at me with her cheery personality.

"Hey are your parents still okay for you coming round to my house on the Saturday, since it'll be your 18th?" Jisoo

I nod eagerly. They're surprisingly okay with it, the plan on my birthday is to spend the whole day with my family and of course Jisoo and then later on at night I'm going to spend the night at her house. We're having a movie marathon, just to laugh at those twilight movies, but I like to drool over Jacob while Jisoo secretly drools over the vampire Edward.

"That's great! It's gonna be a blast!" Jisoo

I sign to her about how she thinks Edward is a dream boat and she'll get her chances to drool over him over the weekend but she scoffs and shoves me lightly to the side.

"I don't think he's hot!" Jisoo

I tell not to deny and just admit it already all the while smiling and rolling my eyes.

Walking closer to the school I take out my whiteboard to hand it around my neck, it use to be annoying to do that but now I'm use to it. It's easier to carry it this way than to constantly take in out my bag and then back in again.

The school is small for the pack with two different buildings, one side for freshman and sophomores and then the second building for the juniors and seniors. But this time in the the same building I'm walking into it as a senior, an important year. I want to spend this year proving I can become a teacher.

Everyone was already making their way into the buildings, ready to start the new school year. On the inside the hallway was just one huge straight corridor with classrooms on each side and one bathroom each for males and females. My locker and Jisoo's lockers were unfortunately on the opposite ends of the school so we had to go separate ways for like five minutes but we always meet back in class, since we've got the same classes this year.

I needed to put some books into my locker as well as take some out that I had left behind over the summer. First class was history so I needed that book as well as a note book I purposely lef tthere for the history class.

Once I gathered everything I needed I slammed my locker shut then double checked I had my sign board with me. It's the only thing I could use to communicate with my teachers. After I made sure I had everything I made my way down the hallway to the classroom but a certain someone almost made me choke on my own spit. I haven't seen him in almost nine months, since he left after eighteenth birthday. Kim Taehyung.

According Jisoo their father sent him away because as future alpha he was suppose to find his mate but he says he hasn't found her yet but her father didn't want to take any chances and gave him a chosen mate, Yeri. I haven't met her before as she's from another pack but I can clearly see that the girl hanging off his arm with long blonde hair was clearly this Yeri girl that Jisoo has been speaking about.

I'm a little jelous since I use to have a crush on him when we were kids and so close but he's still has handsome as ever and certainly has matured. He's more bigger built now, sharper jawline but those dark brown eyes will always be the same, as well has his smile that he passes to me just when I walk past him.

He nods at me with his boxy smile.

"Hi Y/n, it's good to see you again." Taehyung

I could melt, he knows I could actually speak to him but I smile at him and wave. He giggles and continues to walk away with that Yeri girl frowning at me, still glued to his side.

I can't believe Jisoo didn't tell me he was coming back but then again she knew I had a crush on him when we were younger so, maybe she wanted to surprise me in some way.

When I entered thee classroom, Jisoo was already at her desk waiting of me. I stormed over to her and whacked her arm and then took a seat next to her.

"Ow! What was that for?" Jisoo

She rubs her arm but all I do is raise an eyebrow at her. She took a moment but then her eyes light up, like she just caught on to why I would hit her.

"Oh!! You saw him right?! Surprise!" Jisoo

I signed to her why she would keep that a secret from me and she shrugs but the smile never leaving her face. She leans to the side closer to me and whispers.

"He wanted to surprise you." Jisoo

I didn't expect that. Why would he want to surprise me, we're barely friends anymore like we once were. I haven't seen him since the day before his birthday. I couldn't make it to their birthday's because we were away visiting other family members that lived in another forest. That's another story all together.

Then just when I couldn't think my thoughts could get any worse, the man himself walks in, this time with out that blonde Yeri hanging off him. We make eye contact and I could melt all over again with his gorgeous smile. I think my crush feelings are coming back again.
