I wake up to someone shaking me. I groan and pull the blanket over my head. The blanket got pulled off my head. I open my eyes and see Chase. I groan again and pull the blanket over my body. " Nyx, get up! We have training " Chase said. I just looked at him. " Up. Now " Chase said. I sighed. I got out of bed and went to bathroom to get dress and brush my teeth. Once I leave the bathroom, Chase and Kalinth are waiting for me. " What's wrong with you Nyx?? What happened on that mission?? " Chase asked. All I did was shrug.

( A/N: Anyone notice something weird with Nyx?? )

We were currently training or better yet, Chase and Kalinth were training. I was just sitting and wondering off through my mind.
I felt something hit me causing me to snap back to reality. I see Chase and Kalinth looking at me. I look at them with confusion. " Grab the sword and defend yourself " Chase said. I got up and hesitantly grabbed a sword. I stood in front of Chase.

Chase swung his sword and I froze...

I dropped my sword...

Memories flashed through my mind and my eyes...

Chase's POV
I swung my sword at Nyx and she froze. She dropped her sword and didn't move. The next thing I know, I see fear in her eyes. Fear that I haven't seen since I took her in. Kalinth was getting worried. " Is Nyx okay?? " Kalinth asked. But before I could answer, Nyx screamed and dropped down to her knees. She started crying...

Nyx's POV
I was surrounded again...surrounded by blood...

I lost it...

I broke down crying...

First it was my memory of my family's death and I couldn't help them...

Next it was the person I killed to protect Kalinth...

" Nyx! Nyx, snap out of it! " I hear but I was lost in my memories...

I was soon picked up and I figured it was Chase. We got back to our room.

" Nyx!! Nyx, say something!! Talk to me!! " I heard Chase said.

And that's when I realized something...

I couldn't talk again...

I was mute...
