I felt arms pick me up. I opened my eyes slightly and saw it was Daniel. I screamed causing Daniel to dropped me. " Nyx! " I heard an alarming Chase say. My breathing was picking up. Chase got up from his bed and walks towards me. He picked me up and put me back on my bed. He looked at Daniel. " What's your problem Daniel?! You scared the living hell out of her!! What are you even doing in our room?! How did you get in our room?! Only our room as a lock on the door! " Chase yelled " It's my academy. I have the key to the lock " Daniel said " Bullshit! It can only be locked and unlocked from the inside! " Chase said.

I only screamed because when Daniel picked me up I was having another dream of that day and he looked so much like that person who killed my mother and father.

Chase and Daniel were arguing back and forth.

" Enough! " I yelled. Daniel and Chase both looked at me. " What did you say?! " Daniel asked " I said get out. Did you not hear me?!  " I said more clearly. Daniel only muttered something before leaving the room.

Chase turned to me. " Why did you scream?? You never scream. You always end up hurting the person " Chase said. I stayed quiet. " Nyx, baby, please tell me. Don't stay quiet now " Chase said. I looked up at Chase and said " I had the dream again and when Daniel picked me up, he sorta looked like the person who murdered my family ". Chase pulled me into a hug and said " I'm sorry ".

I remember the first time I meant Chase...

" Daniel please, I need a break " I said " You just turned 5! You start training! No breaks! " Daniel said. I stayed quiet. During the training I didn't make a sound, or talk. I tried not making any face expression as I got hit, kick, thrown, flipped, punched, pulled, pushed, etc...

As I got punched in the stomach, I fell to the ground almost at the verge of tears. " Daniel, stop!! Don't touch her!! " I hear a male voice say. I felt someone pick me up and he didn't put me down. " That's enough Daniel. Can't you see you're hurting her?! She's 5!! " he said " And?! She has to be trained to be an assassin!! Her parents, Jane and Andrew couldn't do it!! " Daniel said " An assassin?! She's a little girl!!! " he said " She was born to become an assassin like her parents!! Her brother will do the same once he turns 5! " Daniel said
" Who's taking care of her and her brother?! " he asked " I am Chase. Is there a problem?! " Daniel said. So the person holding me, is named Chase. " Yes, there's a problem! You will no longer be taking care of the kids. I will be taking care of the kids and that decision is final! " Chase said " You're going to take care of the kids?? Take responsibility for them?? Feed them?? Cloth them?? Train them?? Chase, you're only 17, how can you possibly do that when you go on missions?? " Daniel asked " That's for me to know and you...to never know " Chase said then walked away with me still in his arms.

We had entered a room and he put me on a bed. A couple minutes later, my brother was brought in the room. I stayed quiet the entire time. Chase sat down next to me.
" So you two are Jane and Andrew's kids. Huh, who would have thought?! You don't talk much do you little one?? " Chase said. I shook my head no. " Come on, please talk " Chase said " I don't talk " I said " But you just did " Chase said. I shook my head no again. " After my parents death, I don't talk to anyone. Almost everyone here wants to know how my parents died. I don't why they care so much " I said. Chase sighed. " You and your brother can live with me in my room. I'll look after you two for now on, not Daniel " Chase said. I stayed quiet again and shook my head yes so Chase knew that I understood what he said.

Later that day, Chase explained why those people wanted to know how my parents died, it's because my mother and father were assassins...the best assassins from the academy.

From that day on when Chase took my brother and I in, as his responsibility, he became an older brother to us...

" Nyx?? " I hear which takes me out of my thoughts. I look up and see Chase and Kalinth dressed. " Why are you guys dressed?? " I asked
" Training. Get dressed Nyx " Chase said. Kalinth handed me my training stuff and I changed in the bathroom. " We can go now " I said when I walked out the bathroom.
" Alright. Follow me. Today I'm training you guys " Chase said " What kind of training Chase ? " Kalinth asked. Chase stopped in the middle of the hallway, he turned around to face us and said
" Mission training "...
