"What do you mean by that?" Orochimaru demanded. "The darkness that is surrounding us now, will swallow us whole and the two of us will disappear forever." I said.

"You're going to die as well! Aren't you worried about that at all?! Are you really willing to sacrifice yourself for them?! For the people who find you nothing more than a monster!" Orochimaru yelled.

I closed my eyes with a smile.

"Yes. I am willing to do just that. Because I love them. Yes, we are different. They are not demons and I am not human. But I still love them. Not all humans are evil like you, Orochimaru. Most humans have hearts and kind minds. You, on the other hand, hold none of that. Not a heart, nor a kind mind. Therefore, you must die." I said, opening my eyes.

"You naïve, little brat! How dare you!" He yelled at me. The darkness was up to our necks and was about to swallow our faces. "Misaki!" I turned my head, spotting Sakura, Kakashi, Sasuke, and Naruto.

I smiled and gently whispered to them. "So long, my friends."

I closed my eyes once more as I let the darkness consume Orochimaru and I.

3rd Person's POV

When the darkness completely swallowed Misaki and Orochimaru, it lifted the two of them up off the ground and created a dark hole. They were no more. "Come on, we have to save her!" Sakura said as she jumped through the dark hole.

Sasuke, Naruto, and Kakashi followed after her.

When they were inside, they looked around. "Is everyone okay?" Kakashi asked. "Yeah, we're fine, Kakashi-sensei." Naruto confirmed. "But... where's Misaki?" Sasuke asked. Everyone looked around, trying to find her.

"Misaki!" Sakura called. There was no answer. Everyone began to walk forward, towards the unknown darkness. "Guys, look!" Naruto said, pointing at something in the distance. The four of them walked forward and spotted Misaki, her body tangled within the shadows.

She hung there like a puppet hanging from its strings. "Misaki!" Sakura called out of worry. Misaki opened her eyes slowly and lifted her head as she looked at her friends. "Greetings... everyone." She greeted with a soft smile.

"Misaki, hold on! We'll get you out of there!" Sakura said. The four of them tried to move forward, but their feet were stuck to the floor. "What the-? What's going on? I can't move." Naruto said as he tried to move forward.

"I'm stuck, too." Sasuke said. "Us, too." Kakashi said as he and Sakura were stuck as well. "Why can't we move?" Naruto asked as all of them tried to move to save their friend. "I'm sorry, my friends. But this world is not allowing you to move because this is as far as you go." Misaki explained in a calm tone.

The darkness started to consume Misaki's legs, reaching her abdomen. "Misaki!" Sakura called. "Kakashi, do you remember when I told you about my death? Well, this is it. This is the part where I die... for the sake of everyone." Misaki said.

"What?!" Kakashi said. "No... No way. Tell me this is a joke, Misaki. Tell me that we're just asleep and we're all dreaming." Naruto pleaded. Misaki closed her eyes with a soft smile. "I'm sorry, Naruto. I can't lie to you. But this is not a dream." Misaki told him.

"How is this possible? Orochimaru! Where is he?!" Sasuke demanded. "Orochimaru is no longer here. He has left this world, and now it's my turn to leave this world." Misaki said as the darkness slowly began to swallow her chest and arms.

"But you can't die! We still didn't get to eat ramen together! There's so many things you haven't done! You haven't had fun, or meet new people, or try something new, or having anything sweet! You just can't leave! You can't...!" Naruto trailed off as tears started to roll down his cheeks.

"Misaki, tell us what to do! There has to be something we can do to stop this!" Kakashi called to her. She smirked. "This is inevitable, Kakashi. This was bound to happen." Misaki said. The darkness began to slowly reach her neck.

"But why do you have to die? Orochimaru's the bad guy! It's not fair!" Sakura said. "What about your father? You brother? They don't know this happening, do they?" Sasuke asked. "No, they do not." Misaki confirmed.

"Maybe they can help! They can prevent this from-!"

"This is not a coincidence, Sasuke Uchiha. In this world, there is no such thing as coincidences. The only thing that really exist is the inevitable. A wise person once told me this. I was foolish to not believe that person." Misaki said.

"Who said that?" Naruto asked.

"Back in the Land of Waves, I went to a woman who was a fortune teller. She told me that me meeting you all was no coincidence. That we were destined to meet. And I'm glad I got to meet every single one of you. I'm glad I was able to meet you. You all are important to me. That is why I chose to do this. You taught me so many beautiful things in this world. You taught me so many wonderful things. Thank for you that. Naruto... Sasuke... Sakura... Kakashi... Thank you all." Misaki said as a single tear escaped her eye.

Tears began to leave the four ninjas' eyes as they helplessly watched their teammate being swallowed by the darkness while it was covering part of her face. "No, there has to be a way! We can't just let you die! I refuse to let you die!" Naruto said as he desperately tried moving his feet.

"We won't let you, Misaki! You have to live!" Sasuke chimed in as he tried moving as well. Kakashi and Sakura tried moving their feet as well, but it was useless. "Please... Don't go, Misaki." Naruto said as he began to cry. 

"I'm sorry, my friends. I wish I could grant you your wishes now, but I am unable to. I'm sorry." Misaki apologized. "But I wanted to grant your wish, Misaki. I even promised that I would. I'm sorry." Sakura said, tears running down her face.

Misaki smiled as her friends began to cry, sad that they were going to lose their teammate and friend. "Sakura... My wish... is for you all to live. That's all I want. Goodbye, my friends." Misaki said slowly blinked her eyes.

"No. This is isn't goodbye." Sakura said with confidence. Misaki's eyes widened slightly with curiosity. "You're going to come back. I know you will. And until then, I will wait until you come back." Sakura said.

"Me, too! I'll wait, too!" Naruto chimed in. "Me, too. I will wait here in the Leaf until you return. Until then, I'm not giving up on you! Just like how you didn't give up on me! I promise!" Sasuke vowed. "We love you, Misaki!" Everyone said in sync.

Misaki's eyes widened even more until they softened with tears swelling in her eyes. "I love you, too. Until then, goodbye." Misaki said. The darkness had swallowed her completely as a colorful mist gently floated into the air.

The darkness around the ninjas disappeared as they stood near the arena. Orochimaru's snakes have vanished and the Hokage was saved. Everyone was safe. Thanks to Misaki's bravery, the Leaf Village was saved.

The next day, a funeral was held for Misaki. A picture of her was set on top of an empty casket. Everyone set their flowers on the casket. 

Naruto placed his flower on the casket as he remembered he and Misaki having so much.

Kakashi remembers how they would always have each other's back. He missed telling her stories at nigth in order for her to fall asleep. 

Sasuke missed Misaki's kind words. Her advice changed him. Sasuke decided that he wasn't going to kill his brother for revenge because he knew he'd regret it.

Sakura was going to miss her the most of all. She enjoyed Misaki's company and grew to develop feelings for her. In other words, Sakura fell in love with Misaki. She raised a hand to the necklace that was given to her by Misaki.

"I'll be waiting." Sakura whispered. Later that day, Misaki's name was engraved into the K.I.A Stone. Everyone was going to miss Misaki. Cerberus, who was watching from a rooftop, looked at the casket, noticing Misaki's picture.

She went back to the Demon Realm and informed Azazel and Lucifer about Misaki's death. Azazel's hand clenched into a fist as flew towards the hallway Lucifer tilted his head down as a shadow casted over his eyes.

"Amira... Forgive me... But I couldn't protect her." Lucifer said in sorrow. A phantom of Misaki's mother floated down to Lucifer and gently hugged him. "You did your job well, my love. Please, do not fret. I am happy. Thank you." Amira said before vanishing.

Azazel was in Misaki's room as he noticed a fighting outfit was missing from her closet. "Misaki... You risked your life just to save the humans," He smiled sadly. "You're just like Mom." He whispered. He noticed a note and a voice recorder on her desk that read Sakura's name.

Azazel figured it was for Sakura Haruno, so he took it and flew to the Human Realm.

Sakura sat in front of her mirror, brushing out her short hair. She stared at her reflection, dazed, until she spotted Azazel in the reflection. She gasped and turned around as she faced the dark angel.

"This is for you. I'm guessing Misaki wanted you to have it." Azazel said as he held out the note and voice recorder. Sakura stood up and walked over to him, taking the voice recorder and the note. Azazel flew back home as Sakura stared down at the objects.

She read the note first.

"Sakura, if you are reading this, then it means I'm dead. But for some reason, I have a feeling we will meet again some day. Don't ask me how. I just know we will. I never got to tell you how much you mean to me.

Your hair reminds me of the falling cherry blossoms as your eyes remind me of an emerald gemstone. I'm sorry I had to leave you and everyone else with broken hearts. It was never my intention. But I had to leave.

It wasn't because I didn't dislike any of you. It was because I love you. I love you, Sakura Haruno. Thank you for making me feel this way. Thank you for not rejecting me because I'm a demon. I'm glad I was able to meet you, and I'm happy I was able to fall in love you. Thank you, Sakura. Sincerely, Misaki.   

A few tears escaped Sakura's eyes when she was done reading the note. "Misaki..." She whispered as she wiped her eyes. Sakura looked at the voice recorder and pressed PLAY.
