{Mute} Chapt. 17
After Azazel and Kakashi patched things up, Azazel went back home. As for me, I stayed behind, examining my detached wing. "So, you remember everything?" Sakura asked me. I gave a nod, answering her question. I was in my human form right now.
"Misaki, how did your wing get detached?" Kakashi asked. "After Father sent me to Earth, Sasuke's parents took me. But I ran away until I couldn't run anymore. Alone in the woods, a man found me and noticed that I wasn't human. I don't know how he realized I wasn't human, but once he figured that out, he began experimenting on me." I explained.
"Do you know what this man looked like?"
"Yes, and I remember his name. It's Orochimaru. Using the tools and knowledge he had, he was able to rip me from my demon self, turning me into an angel." I said. "However, I was able to regain my demon powers," I continued.
"While I was in my demon form, I was able to learn a few things about myself. I was able to create things no human could."
"Like what?" Naruto asked. "Anything I want." I said.
"I escaped Orochimaru, while in my demon form, but I underestimated him. When I thought I was far away from him, he sliced off my wing with a sword. I fell into a waterfall, then found myself in the woods. That's when I lost my memories. I thought maybe if I walked forward, I'd know where I was. But I didn't."
"Why did you refuse to come back to the clan? I mean, before you lost your memory?" Sasuke asked. "Because I was afraid. After your father hit me, I was scared to return to the house, thinking he would hit me again. I've never faced such cruelty before." I admitted emotionlessly.
"Misaki, you said you saw your death when you regained your memories." Kakashi said. "Like, in the future?" Naruto asked. I nodded my head. "What did you see?" Kakashi asked. I looked at him, then back at my detached wing.
"I cannot tell you that." I said. "Why not?" He questioned. "Because it is my business and I don't wish to tell you. You will be upset if I tell you." I said. I stood to my feet with my detached wing in my hands. "I must go home. Father's going to worry since he does not know I am here." I said.
"Aww, please stay a little bit longer, Misaki." Naruto whined. I looked at him, trying to smile, but I couldn't. My emotions wouldn't let me. "Okay. I'll stay." I said. I used my powers to transport my detached wing home.
"Where did your wing go?" Sakura asked. "Home." I answered. "Misaki, can I talk to you in private for a sec?" She asked. I gave a nod and she led me to her house. "You have a nice room." I commented in an emotionless tone.
"You kind of sound bored when your speaking." Sakura mentioned. "I'm sorry." I apologized. "No, I don't mean it as a bad thing. I'm just surprised because when you were mute, you were always so cheerful." She said.
I glanced at her before looking at the mini Sasuke doll on her desk. "What did you want to talk to me about?" I asked, changing the subject. "Oh, well, I wanted to know why, um... why you were always... well, you know." She said.
I raised a brow at her. "I don't think I understand what you mean." I said. "Well... why you were always... kissing me..." She said with a blush. "Well, that's an easy question. It's because I like you. More than Ino. You have a better taste than she does." I said simply.
Sakura blushed before looking down, making me smirk. "You're very cute when you're bashful." I said, walking over to her. "But, Sakura. You've left yourself completely open, allowing me to do this," I shoved her onto her bed, making her fall on her back.
"You know, I really missed you when I was at home. I couldn't stop thinking about you." I said as I got on top of her. "Ne, Sakura. Did you miss me?" I asked emotionlessly before kissing her cheek. She blushed before turning her head so she avoided my gaze.
I leaned down and gently nipped her neck, in which she moaned in response. I smirked before I began to kiss her neck. Sakura moaned again, but she quickly covered her mouth. I gently took her hand and kissed it before kissing her lips.
I kissed her cheek before kissing down her neck. "Misaki..." Sakura whispered. I sat up and noticed her face was red and she was panting slightly. "Ne, Sakura. You never did answer my question." I said emotionlessly.
"Huh?" She opened her eyes so she could look at me. "Did you miss me?" I repeated. Sakura blushed before hesitantly speaking. "I... I did miss you." She confessed. I gazed down at her, leaned down, then kissed her.
This time, Sakura kissed back, closing her eyes. We made out for a bit until we paused when we heard a knock at her door. "Sakura? What's going on?" Her mother called. "N-Nothing, Mom! Everything's fine!" Sakura called back.
I sat up while tucking some hair behind my ear. "I think I'll stay here for tonight. I don't think I want to return home just yet." I said. "Oh, then would you like to stay for dinner?" Sakura asked as she quickly sat up.
"I'd be delighted. Thank you." I said. "You don't sound all that excited." Sakura mentioned with a deadpan expression. "Sorry. As I've said before, my emotions are locked away." I explained.
When dinner was ready, I sat next to Sakura as the two of us sat across from her parents. "So, Sakura. Why don't you tell us about your friend?" Sakura's mom suggested. "Right. Mom, Dad. This is Misaki. She's really skilled and she has a brother named Azazel." Sakura said.
"What's her last name?" Sakura's father asked. Sakura went pale as she tried to think of an excuse. "I don't have a last name." I said as I ate the meat that was on my plate. "Oh? And where are you from, Misaki?" The mother asked.
"Hell." I answered before taking a sip of my water. "Huh?" The two adults looked at me with a confused look on their faces. "Uh, what Misaki means is, her home is pretty much like Hell; She can't stand her parents." Sakura said with nervous chuckle.
I frowned, then lightly punched her arm. The adults laughed at her comment. "Well, Misaki. You're welcome to come over any time you'd like." Sakura's mother offered. "That's very kind of you." I said before eating more of my meat.
After dinner, Sakura gave me one of her pajamas to wear as she wore a pink nightgown. Right now, I was sitting in front of her mirror as she was behind me, brushing out my hair. "I don't appreciate what you said down there. I never said I couldn't stand my father." I said with a frown.
"I'm sorry, Misaki. But I couldn't tell my parents that you're from Hell. Regardless, they don't even know you're a demon." She said as she continued to brush my hair. "Half demon." I corrected her. "Right, sorry." Sakura apologized.
"Just so you know, I don't have a mother." I said emotionlessly. "You don't?" She asked. "Actually, I don't know if I do have a mother. Because I didn't know my family at the time, I was basically an orphan." I explained.
"I'm sorry." Sakura apologized. "You have nothing to apologize for, Sakura." I said. I raised my hand up, signaling her to stop brushing my hair. She set the brush in the dresser and was about to withdraw her hand until I grabbed her wrist.
"Are you afraid of me?" I asked her. Sakura paused before she answered. "Of course not."
"You hesitated before answering. Tell me the truth. Are you afraid of me?" I repeated. Sakura sighed. "When I first saw your demon form, I was afraid. But not anymore. I'm okay with you as a demon." She said.
"You're lying." I said emotionlessly. "I'm not! I'm really okay with it!" She said, sounding persistent. "I believe you." I said. I let go of her wrist, then stood to my feet. Sakura and I climbed into her bed. Surprisingly, the bed was able to fit both of us.
"Sakura," She hummed in response. "You shouldn't wear such revealing clothes. Otherwise, I could do something like this." I said before trailing my hand up her gown. She jumped at the contact of my hand as she blushed.
I smirked, then kissed her cheek. "Goodnight, Sakura." I said to her. "Goodnight." She said back. She closed her eyes as I did the same.
Later that night, I woke up around 4 in the morning. I glanced at Sakura as she slept. I got out of bed, then headed out the window, transporting back to Hell. I figured Father and Azazel were asleep, so I went to the living room where I found Cerberus asleep on the couch with her puppets.
When I walked past her, I heard her yawn. "Hmm? Oh, hi, Misaki. Welcome home." Cerberus greeted with a sleepy yawn. I gave a smile as I waved. "I noticed your wing was in the archives." She mentioned.
"Yes, I know. I put it there. I want to see if Father can reattach it. If that's possible." I said emotionlessly. "I guess that's possible. But I think you should wait. He's asleep along with Azazel right now." Cerberus informed me.
I gave a nod and headed to my room. Kakashi and the others will be in danger. I have to protect them. "I wouldn't bother." Azazel said lazily as he stood in the corner. I looked at him with a raised brow.
"We shouldn't involve ourselves with the humans. They're a waste of time. It's best if we just mind our own business." Azazel said. "You just don't like the humans because they got all cozy and friendly with Misaki." Cerberus said as she appeared beside him.
"You're supposed to be on guard duty right now, mutt." Azazel said. "Quit being so mean to me!" Cerberus whined. "The humans aren't so bad. I like them." I said emotionlessly before lying in bed.
I like the humans, but I enjoy Sakura's company more. I sighed before closing my eyes, falling asleep.
