Kakashi's POV

"Alice is gone!" My eyes shot open when I heard that sentence. I sprung out of bed and headed to Alice's room. The covers looked like they were thrown off the bed as the window was wide open. "Where do you think she went?" Sakura asked in a panic.

"I'm not sure. Scout out and look for her!" I ordered. Naruto, Sakura, and Sasuke gave a nod and headed outside in search for Alice. I ran into town to see if she was there. Where did you go, Alice?

Haku's POV

I just came back from collecting herbs for Zabuza's wounds as I walked down the hallway, towards his room. I was almost there until I saw a figure lying in the middle of the floor. I set the basket of herbs down and walked over to the figure.

As I was taking out a kunai knife, the figure turned on its side, facing me. It was a girl with long, white hair, curled up in a ball. Her eyes were closed, as if she was sleeping. "How did a child get here?" I asked no one in particular.

Actually, how did she get in here without Zori or Waraji noticing? I approached the girl and gently shook her shoulder. "Are you all right?" I asked her. I moved the hair off her face, then gently placed a hand on her cheek.

The girl smiled and placed her hand over mine. I wonder of this is the same girl who defeated Zabuza earlier? "Wake up." I said as I continued to shake her. The girl seemed to wake up after that. She sat up and yawned before rubbing her eye.

"Are you all right?" I asked her. She nodded her head with a smile. "Who are you?" I asked her. The girl started to respond in sign language, but I couldn't understand what she was saying; I couldn't understand sign language.

"Why can't you speak? Do you have a sore throat? Are you sick?" I asked her. She shook her head and used her sign language again. "I don't understand what you're saying." I said to her. The girl frowned and closed her eyes, thinking.

Then, she opened her eyes and grabbed a small rock off the ground. She laid on her stomach and used the rock as a writing utensil. On the ground, she wrote, "My name is Alice. What's yours?"

"I'm Haku. Can you tell me how you got here without Gato's bodyguards seeing you?" I asked her. Alice nodded her head and wrote on the ground again, answering: "I beat them up." I raised a brow at her answer. "You defeated them all by yourself?" I asked her.

Alice nodded her head with a closed eye smile. "Could you show me?" I asked, standing up. Alice stood to her feet and made a blue and black flame surround her, making me take step back and shield my eyes.

I unshielded myself and saw that Alice had turned herself into a demonic-looking woman. But why does she have one wing? "What kind of jutsu is this? What clan are you from?" I asked. The black and blue flame surrounded her once more before Alice was back to her human self.

She tilted her head to the side a little, unsure of my question. I blinked, remembering I had to take care of Zabuza. "You should leave now. You could get caught." I said. I picked up the basket of herbs and headed down the hallway, towards Zabuza's room.

What I didn't expect was for Alice to follow me. I stopped and glanced back at her. Alice stopped and looked at me with a smile. "Alice, you need to go. You'll get caught if Gato finds you here." I said. Alice raised a brow before reaching up to touch my long hair.

Alice looked at me and smiled with both of her eyes closed. Why is this girl always smiling? Why did she decide to come here anyway? What's her purpose? "Alice, go back to your team. They must be worried about you." I said.

Alice only stared at me with a smile. I decided to avoid her and continued to walk towards Zabuza's room. But of course, Alice was following me. "I'm back." I informed Zabuza. I treated his wounds while Alice sat in the corner, watching me.

"What's she doing here?" Zabuza asked, noticing Alice by the corner. "I'm not sure. I found her out in the hallway, sleeping." I explained. "How was she able to get past Gato's guards?" He asked. "She used some type of jutsu. I don't know what it is, but she was able to turn into some kind of.... demon." I said.

"A demon, huh?" Zabuza looked at Alice as she stared at us. "Get over here, runt." Zabuza ordered. I was expecting Alice to resist, but she obediently did what she was told and walked over to Zabuza. "Just who are you?" He demanded.

Alice gently placed her hand on his cheek, staring down at him emotionlessly. "Zabuza, she could be a mute." I guessed. Alice gently rested her cheek on his chest, hugging him. "What are...?" Zabuza stared down at her with a frown, but was also confused by Alice's action.

Alice lifted her head and smiled at Zabuza before walking out of the room. "Get her." Zabuza ordered. I nodded and headed out to the hallway to stop Alice, but she was already gone. Is she really that fast? Actually, I'm wondering where she went off to.

Kakashi's POV

We've searched everywhere for Alice, but she was nowhere to be found. I couldn't find her anywhere. "Alice, where are you?" I murmured. "Oof!" I fell the ground with a thud when someone tackled me from behind. I glanced back and my eyes widened.

"Alice!" She gave a closed eye smile as she sat on my back. I turned around, sat up, and hugged my daughter. She hummed in confusion as she looked up at me. "I was worried about you, you know." I said to her. Alice eyes soften, saying: "I'm sorry."

"Why did you run off like that, Alice? Where did you go?" I asked her. Alice only hugged me, not wanting to answer my question. I sighed and hugged her back tightly. I don't know what I'd do if I didn't have Alice in my life anymore.

Later that day, Alice and I worked on her techniques that she was having trouble with. "Alice! There you are!" Alice looked to the side and tackled Naruto into a hug before he could hug her. "Ow... that really hurt." He moaned in pain.

"Alice," I called. She stood up and walked over to me. "I need you to protect the bridge builder today. Do you think you can do that?" I asked her. Alice smiled and nodded her head as her eyes were closed. She headed over to the bridge builder as he was already walking away.

My only hope is, Alice won't go insane and turn into "that" form.

Alice's POV

I walked beside Tazuna as we walked into his town. I stopped when I sensed Zabuza and Haku nearby. "What's the matter with you?" Tazuna asked, noticing that I had stopped walking. I took the out the piece of paper Naruto gave me for writing and a small pencil.

"There's danger around us." I wrote on the paper and showed it to Tazuna. "Where?" He asked. I pointed straight ahead as a fog began to appear. "Just what the hell is going on?" Tazuna said as he looked around.

I walked in front of him and stood there. "What the hell do you think you're doing, kid?" He demanded. I could hear the panic in his voice. I glanced back at him and smiled before looking straight ahead.

I closed my eyes and let black and blue flames surround me, transforming into a demon. When my transformation was complete, I sprinted forward and threw a punch to Zabuza's face. I frowned and did a backflip.

"You again!" Zabuza said annoyed as he wielded his blade. My frown stayed on my face as I stared at him. "You don't understand, kid. Get out of the way." He ordered. I didn't move from my spot. I refuse to.

I promised Kakashi I would protect the bridge builder. I came back to reality when ice mirrors surrounded me. "I'm sorry to do this, Alice." Haku whispered. I looked up as senbon needles were thrown at me. I used my wing to block them, then glared up at Haku's reflection.

"Impressive. But it won't be enough to stop my attacks." Haku said, throwing more senbon needles at me. They hit my body in all different directions. I screamed at the top of my lungs, making them come out of my body.

I will not fail. I will defeat them. I promised Kakashi. Haku threw more senbon needles at me, attempting to stop me. I dodged out of the way and did a few backflips before charging at Haku. I broke all the mirrors, making Haku come out and fight me.

Sasuke's POV

"Kakashi-sensei," I called. He hummed in response. "What is it?" He asked. "What is that?" I pointed near the town area when I saw black and blue flames while hearing what sounded like a fight that was going on. "Let's go. Sakura! Naruto!" Kakashi called.

We all ran towards town since that's where Alice was. When we got to the bridge, it was covered in fog and all we heard was punches being thrown at someone. "Alice, where are you!" Kakashi called.

The fog cleared the moment Kakashi said that. Once it was gone, Alice stood there in her other form while holding the back of someone's neck. "Alice...?" Kakashi said. Alice only frowned as she set that person on the ground, on their stomach.

"Alice-chan! Are you all right?" Naruto called. Alice's frowned disappeared before black and blue flames surrounded her body. I expected her to go back to her human self, but instead, she disappeared. "Alice!" I called. Where in the world is she going now?

Third Hokage's POV

"Lord Third! You've gotta come see this!" Iruka said as he burst into my office. "What is it, Iruka?" I asked, glancing at him. "It's Alice!" My eyes widened when I heard that. I followed Iruka outside, taking me to Alice. Was she hurt?

"Has Team Kakashi returned from their mission?" I asked him. "Not really. The thing is, Alice came back without her team." Iruka explained. Now I'm really concerned. "She's over there," Iruka pointed at Alice as she sat on the ground with her knees pulled to chest, her back facing us.

"Alice," I called. She glanced back at me, then faced the view in front of her. I frowned slightly as I walked over to her. "Alice, where's Kakashi and the others?" I asked. Alice grabbed a long stick off the ground and started writing the in the dirt:

"They're still at the Land of Waves."

"Why did you leave them?" I asked. Alice's eyes softened slightly before writing down one word: "Monster." I raised a brow at the word. "Monster?" I repeated. Alice pulled her knees to her chest tighter as a small breeze blew past her hair.

"Alice, tell me what that means. Please." I requested. Alice picked up her stick again and wrote in the dirt: "A monster is what I am. Kakashi is afraid of me... Everyone is afraid of me."

"What are you talking about, Alice? Why would Kakashi think you're a monster?" I asked. Alice closed her eyes and a black and blue flame surrounded her, making me step back. When the flames died down, Alice was in a different, demonic-looking form.

She was still in her sitting position as she stared at the view. "Alice, can you tell me what kind of jutsu this is?" I asked. Black and blue flames surrounded her once more before she was back in her original state.

"This isn't a jutsu. It's an ability. I don't know what it is, but I know how to transform." Alice explained, using her stick to write in the dirt. "We'll figure it out somehow. I'll take you to the hospital tomorrow. For now, you can stay with me in my office and I'll call Kakashi, telling him that you're here. Okay?" I said.

Alice gave a small nod before standing to her feet. I was little concern because Alice wasn't smiling like she usually did. I guess she has something on her mind that she's trying to figure out.

???'s POV

"Still no sign of her, huh?" I asked. "Hey, be patient, will you? I'm doing the best I can to find her. Besides, you're the one who let her go loose." Cerberus said with a frown. "For your information, it wasn't my decision." I said.

"How can you be so calm about this whole thing? She's is your-"

Whatever," I interrupted her, then sighed. "She's the same as us. How hard can it be to find her?" I asked, a bit irritated. "Maybe she doesn't want to be found?" She guessed with a playful smirk.

I sighed until one of my servants appeared beside me, then whispered something in my ear. "Oh? So she's there?" I asked. My servant gave me a nod.

"Inform him about it." I ordered. The servant bowed before vanishing. "Oh? You found her already? So, where is she?" Cerberus asked. "Now I know why it was so difficult to find her." I said, avoiding her question.

"Eh? You never tell me anything." Cerberus whined. "Misaki... Looks like I've finally found you."
