Just wanted to update for you all!
Wynter
We walked upstairs to his office on the second floor of the factory. It was a nice environment. Surprisingly, it looked like nothing like I expected.
Warm colors or dark brown and mahogany filled the cozy atmosphere. It was an office full of books and papers, with large intricate posters of North Pole hanging on each wall.
It was a comfy yet sophisticated office.
He lead me past a few black couches and a sleek looking fire place before climbing up another pair of stairs to a quieter part of the office in the rear.
I was surprised how modern the space looked. There were small elements of Christmas spread throughout the space but it was still a modest place.
I got excited seeing a few candy canes in a sleek glass cup at the corner of his desk and took a few canes from the cup, stuffing a few of them in my bag. A few more reappeared and I giggled, snatching 7 more.
I guess magic was everywhere on the pole.
Nick found his way to his computer and focused on the screen as I took 8 more. He let out a sigh, pushing a hand to the corner of his lips before typing away.
I unwrapped one end of the cane and paced around his office, looking at the small nicknacks and globes that decorated the room. It was a cozy office and a warm fire was lit, spreading warmth across the room. There were pictures of Nick and Drew smiling and grinning from ear to ear with their parents and another picture of Nick when he was smaller. He was frowning of course.
"Awww you used to be so cute" I say pushing my lips into a sarcastic pout. I suck kn the end of the day he candy and smile proudly. He looked over at me and shook his head before rolling his eyes and turning his attention back to his computer.
"So you really don't care you're in the naughty list huh?" he teased, still typing away. I scoffed and pushed the frame back to the shelf.
"Not really. Some bad girls still get their Christmas wish.Remember?" I reminded him. Nick allowed a lazy smile to part his lips but still focused on his typing. We had a playful banter that we both partook in, so I knew he was only teasing me.
Soon, a tall girl came in with a heavy pile of papers in her hands. She had a sort of magical look I couldn't quite place? She didn't look like an elf but I couldn't assume anymore. I learned my lesson from just moments before.
"Good morning Nick" she smiles charmingly, lingering a finger against his shoulder after she dropped the papers onto his desk.
"Hey Cringle" he muttered, typing away on his computer.
She smiled and held his shoulders before looking at me as I stood in the corner of the room. He was so consumed with his work, he didn't even realize the lethal daggers she was sending me. She glared at me before turning to Nick and fixing his hair. "Who is this Nick? Should I call security?" She snapped impatiently.
Why was she touching him like that?
"Oh, this is Wynter, my fiancé." He didn't care to looked over at me as he typed away.
"Oh! This is the famous princess Wynter! I have heard so much about you!" she grins, ingenuity filling her face.
"You have? Hopefully it's been good things" I suggested.
"Hmm...not really" She smiles impolitely before passing some folders to Nick, making sure to invade his space. I look at Nick, wondering if he heard her little quip but he didn't even raise an eyebrow, he was too consumed with his work.
"Oh Nick, you have a meeting with Jack Frost today"
"No I don't" he cursed beneath a breath.
"You do! He insisted he come see you today. He said it was important." She went to open his windows, gently pushing past me.
Nick
I groaned hearing Cringle's announcement. Jack Frost was the last person I wanted to see today. I sighed, taking my eyes of the screen and finally looking over at Wynter. She twirled a small candy cane between her fingers, pushing her lush brown lips around the end. I hated how cute she looked doing the most mundane things.
She dragged her fingers along my bookshelf, touching a little vial and picking it off my shelf.
"What's this?" She twisted the cap and tilted her head curiously.
"No Wynter!" I yelled, standing up from my chair but before I could stop her, a whole bunch of snow erupted into my office. She looked shocked but kinda thrilled at what happened.
I walk over to her, stumbling in the thickness of the snow before finally grabbing the vial from her hands. She smiled bashfully as I glared.
"Sorry?" She shrugged unapologetically.
"Cringle! Go get me two hot chocolates." I yelled.
"Yes sir." She smiled, glaring at Wynter before leaving.
"Nick.. I didn't mean...." she started.
"Look Wynter, I understand your excitement for all things North Pole but you're supposed to be a sophisticated princess. There's a certain way princess are supposed to act."
She looked into my eyes but nodded, looking to the floor. She calmly sucked on her candy cane as she listened to my lecture. She looked like an innocent puppy who had just got caught... f**k she was cute.
"Look..." I level my voice, trying to sound calm. "We have other people watching us now. The elves, the people, the guardians and many others. They are watching your every move. You gotta be less... humany?"
"That'll be easy." She says sarcastically.
"Come on Wynter" I sighed, walking over to my desk to look at the pile of papers.
"Nick you're telling me to pretend to be something I'm not."
"I mean in a way ...not really. You are a princess? You act like one on earth. Just act like the north pole version. Don't react to magic or anything. Magic in the north pole is as common as fireworks in the human world. Everyone does it. It's normal so when you react... it makes you seem.."
"Weird?" She suggested.
"More or less" I shrugged, taking a seat at my chair.
"Fine" she pouted pushing the vial onto my desk.
I snapped and had all the snow melt and disappear. She didn't even smile when I did it.
Good.
"Okay, so I have meetings back on Earth all day."
"What about Jack Frost?"
"F**k him"
She giggled as she heard my profanity. I guess that wasn't part of the Santa brand she was used to.
"So for today, I'll have Beives show you around the library. Hes the keeper of all things like that." he says, looking to his computer screen once again.
"But Nick! I thought you would teach me and show me around! You said I have to meet the council at the end of the two weeks that I'm here."
"I'll be busy with meetings for just a couple of days on earth but this is perfect. While I'm gone you can spend more time getting to know everyone and the elves. My mom has been dying to meet you officially"
Wynter
I nodded and peered out the window of his office. I was kinda upset at him leaving me here alone but honestly, I would have some the same if my work followed me.
Kringle comes in and puts two hot chocolates on his desk.
"Kringle, tell Bevies to come in and escort Wynter to the library and tell him we need the scrolls and manuals for Wynter. Let him have her start on that."
"Yes Nick" she smiled. She looked at him warmly, dreaming of their perfect future together. Kringle quickly snaps out her daze and takes her place beside him, adjusting his papers before picking up the phone.
She hums and looks over at Nick. "He stepped out Nick" she hands up the phone, making it disappear into thin air.
"Okay." He shook his head looking over at me. "Looks like you have to show her around Kringle" he suggests looking up to face her, "can you handle that?"
She pouted and looked over at me throwing a disapproving glance.
"Isn't there any one else?" She groaned.
"Common Kringle. I have no one else. Wynter you're cool with it?"
"I guess" I muttered, looking over to face her. She rolled her eyes and crossed her arms over her shoulders. I hated this Kringle girl already and was Nick so oblivious that he couldn't see it?
"I'll see you later Wynter" he bragged, dismissing me and Kringle.
"Aren't you forgetting something Nick?" I say, squinting my eyes over at Kringle. She rolled her eyes, irritated by my very existence.
"No, I don't think so?" He muttered, clicking the mouse on his pad.
I knew I was bold but I walk over to him, purposely pushing past her and pulling his collar, forcing him to stand before pressing my lips against his. He was a bit taken back by my embrace but I knew he couldn't resist it. He pushed a hand through my soft curls before we smacked violently, I made sure to linger against his body, making sure Kringle saw us before breaking apart
That would teach her.
"What was that for?" He whispered smirking at my lips as I pulled away.
"Mistletoe?" I shrugged pointing up to his ceiling. "It's bad luck to not kiss your fiancé under it. I was doing you a favor"
He smirked, wiping the gloss of my lips before nodding in agreement. "Hmmm.. I've never heard that rule" he teases, still m looking into my eyes.
"Hmm strange?" I shrugged, adjusting his shirt.
"I'm curious as to why Santa would have a sprig of mistletoe conveniently placed above his desk?"
"Maybe he likes the look of it above his desk? It puts himself into some pretty good situations don't you think?" he whispers still staring at my lips.
The girl named Kringle clears her throat ever so rudely before interrupting our intimate conversation.
"You ready?" She asked impatiently. I rolled my eyes and separated from Nick.
"Sorry Krispies, you know what they say about mistletoe. It's bad luck to ignore it." I shrugged, adjusting his tie before turning to meet her.
Nick pulled my wrist, forcing me into his into his arms before holding my neck, pulling my ear close, so close, I could feel his warmth against my eardrums .
"You know, jealously looks good on you Ms. Claus" he whispered before gently pushing me away.
My eyes opened wide with embarrassment as I heard his voice. How dare he!
I was not ...me? Jealous?
I blushed and pouted before collecting my scarf and jacket, storming out the office.

I followed her as she escorted me to the library in the distant palace. We traveled on a small red sleigh. She lead me back to the crystal palace before taking me through a secret corridor.
She walked through the spacious hallways, going through each bend until we came to a magnificently decorated library.
"So these are a few books to start." She announced, running a manicured finger against the surface of each scroll. "It's strange that a princess from a noble land would have to be reading all these scrolls about the North Pole" she giggled, climbing the ladder and throwing a bunch of scrolls into my arms.
"Not really. I like to be prepared. I am going to be married to the future king of the North Pole. It's expected I be well informed about affairs of Nicholas's kingdom"
She cringed as I called him by his proper title but quickly hid her displeasure. She threw a few more manuscripts before turning and showing off a smug smile. "Well...that's it. Good luck!" She cheesed before turning on her heel to leave. I clumsily gathered each scroll and followed after her.
"And where are you going." She snapped, turning back around as she heard my footsteps behind her.
"Following you back to the warehouse? I'm sure Nick's office is free"
"It is...but Nick doesn't like anything or anyone in his office while he's away"she shrugged, pushing her arms above her chest.
I rolled my eyes and pushed past her, pacing over to the red sleigh we came in. "I'm sure he wouldn't mind." I smiled, grabbing the reigns to start the journey back to the warehouse. She rolled her eyes again before sitting beside me. She snatched the reigns from my hands and escorted me back to Nick's office.

After two trips and a few stares from the elves, I finally situated in Nicks office, sitting by the fire to gain some warmth. I tried to sneak Jingles in but of course he was too big to blend into the crowds. He stuck out like a sore thumb. I didn't care; I loved his company and knew to bring him into the office.
I opened the the first page of a wrinkly scroll, quickly scanning the contents of the page. Jingles laid quietly, snoozing next to me as we snuggled by the fire.
"North Pole for dummies" I whispered, shaking my head at Kringle's choice of literature. I knew there was something between her and Nick, that's why she hated me so much.
I frowned but continue to read on.
A few hours passed before I hear a few steps behind me. A man cleared his throat behind me. I turn around and inspect his features.
They were familiar...
"Princess Wynter." He smiled mischievously, leaning against Nick's doorframe. I stood and watched him, careful not to speak, sneakily hiding the book behind Jingles.
He hadn't done anything yet but Nick's warning still tang in the back of my mind.
I didn't trust him...
"And where is Nick? It is not smart of him to leave his helpless fiancé in his office alone"
"He.. had some obligations on earth." I shrugged, standing to reach for my books. Maybe I should head back to the castle?
He stepped over and pulled my arms in, pressing his warmth against them. "I wish Nick was here....I really needed to talk to him."
"About what?" I teased, playing along.
"It was about a certain someone...?"
"Oh? And who was that someone?" I smiled, still playing along. He looked into my eyes, gently pushing a finger against my cheek before frowning.
"The name escapes me at the moment" he whispers, purposely looking up at the mistletoe that hung above us.
"Nick really needs to get rid of this... might put someone in an uncompromising situation" he teased.
I pull away from him, gathering my scarf and hat. "Well I should be going."
I remember Nick was adamant about me not talking to Jack Frost and now I finally understood.
He was nothing but trouble.
"No...I didn't mean to be an inconvenience. Ill leave you to it.
I guess...I'll see you around Princess Wynter" he smiled, showing off his handsome grin before pacing out the room.
I hated the way he said my name. I wondered if I should tell Nick about the encounter?
