Nick woke me up rather harshly the next morning, banging on my door so I could wake.

"Okay okay! I'm up!" I groaned, sliding off my bed to the floor. I knew I was the one who asked for a tour of the North Pole but this was way to early!

After a few minutes of excessive yawns and getting dressed, I made my way to the doors of my room. I knew Nick would be furious at my tardiness but I didn't care.

"Took you long enough" he teased, pushing himself off from the wall. I shrugged, adjusting the last bit of gloss from the corner of my lips.

He led me out the hallway. A few servants came and smiled, giggling as they saw us walking together. He quickly snatched my hand, intertwining it with his own. I knew we had a image to maintain since we were engaged. We walked hand in hand for optics but I couldn't lie and say that I didn't enjoyed it.

We walked through the doors of the palace, walking outside to brace the cold. I smiled, taking in the views and sounds of a more quieter pole. It was a beautiful, enchanting little place. We continued on until we came to a massive wooden barn. "You ready?" He stopped and looked back at me. I nodded excitedly, following him as he opened the festive barn doors.

I grinned excitedly, jumping up as I saw the stables full of reindeer. It was them! The famous 9!

"No way !! No way!!
It's Dasher and Dancer an Prancer, Vixen.
Oh! And Comet, Cupid, Donner and Blitzen!"

I look over at Nick but he only looked at his phone, indifferent to the scene before him.

Nick

I checked my emails and texts, making sure to finalize the last shipments and parts for the Mattel dolls. I still had so much to do before Christmas.

"Nick! This is American history right here." Wynter screamed.  I thought it best to let her freak out a little and let her have her fun. She never truly celebrated Christmas so I suppose it was a culture shock for her.

"Wait! Where's Rudolph!" she asked tiptoeing over my figure to see the full scope of the barn. Her question snapped me back to reality.

"He doesn't really like being called Rud—" but before I could warn her, she gasped and saw his stall in the distance.

"Rudolph!!!!" She screamed running over to the last stable that housed him. He looked at her curiously, lifting his neck up to face her.

"Nick! It's Rudolph, the red nose reindeer. We used to sing the song!
🎶Rudolph the red nose reindeer, had a very shiny nose! Like a lightbulb!" She sung rather joyfully.

She bent to touch his nose and gasped again. "It's so shiny! Omg! It really is as bright as a lightbulb. Look Nick it's glowing" she yelled, signaling me to join her.

"You know, it only shines when he's either upset, depressed or angry."

"Really?" She pouted but a burst of clarity soon entered her mind. "Wait... Oh" she pouted frowning at me before staring at the deer. He looked at me before falling to the floor, pushing his hoofs over his eyes.

"Great now he's upset" I teased her, gently winking at Jingles.

"Oh no! Is he crying? What did I do?"

"What didn't you do? First off, you called him by his fake name. He doesn't like being called Rudolph . His name is Jingles"

"Jingles?" she scoffed looking at him but he grunted, blowing air into the room.

"Rudolph is a name you humans made up to make a catchy song. A catchy song sells more in the human world" I clue her in.

"Oh I'm so sorry?" She pouted, opening his barn door and bending to pat his forehead. "I'm sorry Jingles. I'm so so sorry... I didn't know."

I tried not to laugh as she hugged his furry neck. "Jingles don't be mad at me. I'm sorry. From now on, I promise to only call you Jingles from now on and I will never make fun of your nose"

His nose gradually dimmed as he heard her words but he was still upset.

"Nick it's still glowing? What else do I do?" She petted behind his ears, leaning to kiss his forehead.

"Just ignore him?
He'll be fine Wynter. Let's go!" I cursed getting a bit annoyed that her attention was on him.

"No Nick! I have to make him feel better! This is Rudolph! THE First Rudol—-"

He let out another whiny and fell to the floor.

"I'm sorry! I meant Jingles." She frowned rubbing his ears. "You're a good boy aren't you Jingles? Having to stay in this stuffy barn with no sunlight. Is Santa nice to you?"

He shook his head no and threw his head into her shoulders, pretending to cry.

"You liar!" I grumbled. She took out a small sack of carrots and held it up to his lips.

"He can eat carrots ?" she asks.

"Yea. It's his favorite treat actually" I smiled, shocked that she new that little tidbit. She smiled and turned back to Jingles.

"Here Jingles. Good boy!. I should have never demeaned you to your features. My therapist always says I should highlight a person's attributes. For that I apologize."

His nose stopped glowing red and he hopped up and down, leaping with joy before licking her cheeks and letting out another whinny. "Aww good boy." She beamed, kissing his ears.

I went over to him and glared but he beamed and went behind Wynter. He knew she was his only protection.

"Jingles. You think you can give us a ride?" He circled around Wynter before nodding excitedly. I gave him a small treat before saddling him up.

"Come on Wynter!" I announce, leading Jingles out the warmth of the barn. Wynter followed close by before pulling her jacket closer to her body. I guess it was pretty cold for her. She wasn't used to our harsh winters.

"I.. think so? I mean how high do we go?"

I ignored her question and pull her into my arms, turning her to face the saddle. "Come on Ms. CEO." I chuckled, amused by her fear. She lifted a foot but struggled to lift herself on. Eventually, Wynter let me lift her over the leather saddle, grabbing the reigns to steady her balance.

I hopped over and sat in front of her, taking the reigns from her hands to guide us. "You ready?

"No" she shook her head.

"Come on. How many people do you know that died riding a reindeer?"

"I mean when you put it that way...zero" she confessed, leaning against the saddle.

"You don't trust me?" I teased, looking back to face her. She hesitated, pondering my words.

"No... I don't trust you" she pouted, crossing her arms over her chest.

"Smart girl" I breathed, wrapping the reigns around my wrists before hitting Jingle's back. We shot up into the air, increasing our altitude the more seconds that passed.

"Nicklkkk!!" she screamed, throwing her arms around my torso for safety. "Omg omg were flying! We're flying!!" She gasped, looking over my shoulder, daring herself to peak at the ground.

"We're actually flying Nick!" She repeated again, letting out a lazy chuckle. I guess she had eventually gotten over her initial response of fear and was now enjoying it.

She giggled again, pulling her arms away and lifting it to the air. She closed her eyes, taking in the wispy clean air of the pole. I couldn't help but smile as I watched her enjoy the moment.
Her smile was so beautiful...she was beautiful.

I made sure to snap my vision ahead to steer us. We still had some way to go before we reached the warehouse.
