How quickly I fell for you.

Though I resisted my feelings,

You succeeded in conquering my indecision,

And I opened my heart to love, once more.

An ocean lies between us now,

And my heart is in great torment.

I long for you, but you've pushed my away;

The waters of separation are too far to cross alone.

I want nothing but sleep,

For at least in my dreams I can meet you.

You are cold, even there. But I can see your face,

And I can love you there, without fear of causing you pain.

As the countless years pass,

You will find love from another.

You will find delight in that love,

And great and mighty things shall you do.

With a sad sort of joy, I shall watch you succeed.

The ache of longing will persist,

And with all the love I never had the chance to give you,

I shall support you from afar; unnoticed and forgotten.
