Prey
Has no one ever asked,
If behind your mask
Was the smile ever real?
Do they even care?
Those judging stares,
How sick they make you feel
Prisoner in your own house
A cruel game of cat and mouse
With no end in sight
But who's the hunter, who's the prey?
The fear in your heart, no words can convey
So tired, left with no fight
Your world crashes, burns with hate
Your doomed love has met it's fate
No friends or family or comfort
No knight in shining armor
No rescue you could wait for
Just gave up with no effort
Sometimes what I write sounds arrogant or vengeful or even the dramatic reaction of a teen. But if that is how I feel, who are you to tell me otherwise?
I remember one of my friends' mother used to tell mine that if I read so much, my head will get stuck in a fantasy world forever. That wouldn't be so bad, would it? It would definitely be an improvement from this bland, ugly world we have turned our precious Earth into.
