Wednesday Addams- Family (c)
The Addams Family Musical One Shot
"You're never going to understand," Wednesday exclaimed.
"But I do understand," you tried to make your point clear but you knew that Wednesday had become lost in her emotions and clearly had something that she needed to get off of her chest before she would be able to make normal conversation. "Everyone has something weird about their family, yours cannot be any more than mine."
She shot you a look as she tried her best to think of the way to explain such a thing to you. Everyone thought that their family was weird but Wednesday knew that her family were far weirder in comparison to anyone else's, not that she would change them for the world. Although they didn't fit the mould of normal American family, it didn't mean they weren't a loving and healthy family unit, they just took a darker way of life meanwhile.
"My mum isn't fond of one extra glass of wine and my grandma isn't going to bake some cookies," she frowned. "They aren't a bit odd as most people think their family is, my family are different, and I don't think you will quite understand that even once you meet them. I don't want you to run away scared of them, but they are different to any family you would have ever known."
You let out a sigh. You loved Wednesday with all of your heart, and nothing would change that even if her family were a bit odd. She would have to understand that, but it didn't lessen your concern to what she deemed made her family different.
"Okay then, what makes your family so weird?" You asked.
"We live in an old mansion in the middle of the park and most of my family are dead, but you wouldn't know that if you met them. My crossbow is probably the tamest object we own, and heavens, my parents love each other but sometimes you may as well have though they wanted to take the other to an early grave," she said quicker than your brain could comprehend. "Believe me my family love each other more than any I have ever met; my father literally worships the ground my mother walks, but everything is different to what you would know of a family."
Taking her hands within yours, you offered her a warm and loving smile.
"I don't care if your family are different, all that matters is that they make you happy and treat you right. You are hardly a stereotypical woman. I know I will never see you doing your makeup or going to a house party, but I knew that when we met. You mean the world to me regardless, you being yourself is what made me love you and if they've raised the woman I love, then I see nothing wrong with them," you smiled.
Even though she expressed her concern, you were excited to meet the Addams' even if you were slightly afraid they wouldn't think you would be good enough for Wednesday but that would be a bridge that you would cross together if you came to it.
