Veronica Sawyer- Blazer (c)
Heathers The Musical One Shot
It had been a seemingly alright day, a little on the chillier side but there wasn't any reason to wear a jacket as there hadn't been any rain or wind, and in the sun, it was a pleasant chill. As the day progressed, you hadn't expected anything foul to occur with the weather, hoping it would stay relatively pleasant and seen as you had been in school most of the day, there wasn't a concern at first. The school day had finished, and you were walking home with your girlfriend Veronica when the wind decided to pick up and a freezing chill joined it, biting at your skin.
"Are you cold?" She questioned.
You didn't want to tell her seen as you had been the idiot to not bring a coat or jumper with you, whilst Veronica had her blazer on. Ever since she had kind of befriended the Heathers, she had only been scene in the blue blazer, something that neither of you ever dreamed that she would ever have in her wardrobe. It seemed to stand for everything that the two of you had hated the whole way through high school but here you were now with her dressed like a glorified schoolgirl that likely had daddy issues now.
"No," you lied.
She shot you a glare, stopping still on the pavement, refusing to continue on with your walk home until she received the truth.
"Don't lie to me," she said, narrowing her eyes at you.
"It's maybe a little nippy," you shrugged nonchalantly, trying to continue on the walk but Veronica pulled your hand back so that you couldn't leave her.
Veronica rolled her eyes at you as she stripped the blazer, revealing her white shirt that she had on below it. She held the blazer out at arm's length in your direction.
"But you'll get cold," you frowned.
"No, I won't," she said raising an eyebrow at you as though to prove a point. "It is only a little nippy."
You frowned at your girlfriend as she outsmarted the logic that you had used, reluctantly taking the blazer that she had been wearing. You hated the fact that you could be mistaken for one of the Heathers but nevertheless you were glad to have something to fight the cold as you put on Veronica's blazer.
"This doesn't mean I'm a Heather," you said with a frown.
She shook her head as she linked her arm with yours. "Think of it like the heterosexual trend of the popular students in the jocks giving their girlfriends their varsity jacket, this is the closest thing to that we're getting."
"I guess I can accept that."
