so LeahTheNerd4 requested that i review six but i haven't started this review until half a month later OKAY LETS GO

there are a lot of things about this show that i love

omg the costumes are incredible, and each of the queens is amazing. the music is really catchy and i love how it's like a concert and each queen is inspired by a pop diva

like in cleves' get down, tbh i wasn't a huge fan of the song. it's pretty skippable, even tho it's fun. but when she said "let's get in formation" I SCREAMED BECAUSE THATS A DIRECT BEYONCÉ REFERENCE

it's so smart

all you wanna do is probably the best song for storytelling, and don't lose your head is pretty fun as well. heart of stone is nice and super adele-ish

the cast is so beautiful and sweet and talented and since there aren't recordings of the show other than the opening and megasix (i love megasix) i can't totally judge this show, so ive been figuring out as much as i can about

not only the show but the actual ex-wives

and this is where i have a problem and i was watching a new katherine steele video about six and it totally describes what im thinking.

basically, she said there were some questionable aspects in some of the songs that didn't go with the strong women theme

especially in dont lose your head and bELIEVE ME I LOVE IT, like that song bops, but it doesn't capture the real anne boleyn. kat also said it's possible that all of that adultery and incest stuff was thought to be made up by the king so he would have an excuse to move on to jane seymour. i love millie o'connell and she's so fun, but they could have dug deeper for boleyn

and with a few of the songs (im talking about no way and get down), i got bored really quickly. more during get down than no way, but still, REALLY FUN and everyone has so much energy. just not my cup of tea.
