rating: 9.7/10? idk, im stuck. but probably around there

another show that used to be my favorite but isn't anymore!

however, this show is brilliantly written and even though it falls into the "basic" musicals category, i could never hate it!

it's v important to me because it was my favorite for a long long time + lin manuel miranda ummmmmm

i can't say i listen to the music on a regular basis or that i love all the songs because there are some that i really only listened to once or twice

so many of them are just

ugh

so good

and it shares elements of in the heights, which is a musical i loVe but don't talk about enough.

the way it looks on stage too is literally incredible. even though i don't care for this show as much, i can't deny that it looks great.

however, i haven't seen it or watched a bootleg or whatever so i can't give a real in depth review.

but the music is awesome soo

the fandom tho (whenever i talk about a fandom, it doesn't change my opinion of the musical itself) is tErrible lmao

there are obviously some great people, like my friends who love hamilton, but from most of what ive seen online, im staying away and locking myself safely in the tiny bom community

lin manuel miranda got a lot of younger people into musical theatre, which i can appreciate. love that guy!
