i grew out of it a little.

i still love the music. the performers are all soooo skilled and i think the story is beautiful.

it's a good musical. i still love it a LOT.

i mean, it's not terribly creative, but it does have a nice message and stays realistic and fans can relate to it, which i appreciate.

it's pretty great. but i feel like there are better musicals out there. dear evan hansen is just one of many musicals that people can relate to and it's not the best musical in the world in my opinion.

i listen to the cast album a lot, though. i love everybody in the cast with my eNTIrE heARt.

the show made me laugh and cry and i love evan and zoe's relationship.

i really, really love when evan thinks zoe is going to break up with him so he started shouting out of nervousness and is like "i mean i know we're not even like 'oFfiCiaLLy toGetHer'".

he. is. adorable.

and that scene is so funny and relatable. that's one of the strengths of dear evan hansen.

now i'm going to talk about something that's not about the musical, but with the fandom.

why do people ship tree bros?

and kleinsen?

and zoe x alana?

no tea no shade for those who ship them, i just don't see it.

i get if it's hc connor for tree bros and friendly teasing for kleinsen, but zoe and alana literally... don't interact.

like, ever.

but again, i don't hate you if you ship those, i just don't like them.

so, 8.5/10, would recommend but not as passionate about it as i used to be. not the show's fault, but i've just grown out of it a little bit.

it's pretty good, but it's not my favorite.
