I've never written these two before, so bear with me.

Brooke's POV

I watched as my friend scoffed at the sign up sheet. "What do you have against Hamilton?" I asked.

"There's not enough female roles," Chloe replied huffing and crossing her arms. "And you've already got Angelica in the bag." I blinked. I eyed Chloe watching her brown hair that slowly faded to a lighter colour move up and down with her dramatic movements. It was beautiful, Chloe was beautiful.

"Whatever do you mean?" I asked, averting my gaze from admiring her hair. Chloe glanced at me, her eyes locked with mine. I felt myself blush.

"I just think you're good for the role," Chloe muttered out eventually. Was... was.... that a compliment? From Chloe Valentine?

"I wasn't even planning on going to the audition," I muttered in reply. "Jeremy is gonna be there."

"Your ex? What does he have to do with anything?"

"I... I... don't know." I looked at the sheet, seeing my ex's name on it and tried not to glare at Chloe. We were on better terms now, but that was still a thing that happened. And then there was Chloe being the hottest girl in school.  I then only felt myself blushing as I thought that. "Hey, Chlo, I think you'd make a good Maria." Chloe turned to face me.

"But then, who would be Eliza if I'm Maria and you're Angelica?" I tried not to giggle, I knew Chloe had a tendency to not remember her lines, she wasn't even that into theatre.

"You know Christine would give up everything to be the lead," I said. "Though she knows her limits, she wouldn't go for a role that she didn't believe she could do. I personally think that if it came to it, Christine would be supportive of the lead. If she wasn't it, I mean."

"Do you really think I'd be good as the, according to my sources, 'hot, sexy girl who has the affair'?" Chloe asked, clearly ignoring my statement. I felt myself blush, picturing Chloe in Maria's red.

"Yep, though you'd double as Peggy in the first half, I hope you're up for that." Chloe thought for a bit and then, to my amazement and also secret horror, Chloe wrote her name.

"Done."

"So you're going to audition?" I asked, amazed, horrified and hopeful. Chloe gave a curt nod and I giggled, making Chloe turn red. I picked up the pen, still warm from Chloe's touch, and wrote down 'Brooke Lohst' on the sign up sheet. My heart was racing. God, I'm hopeless, no, I'm helpless. References yay!

"Are you humming?" Chloe asked suddenly and the pen dropped from my hand. I shook my head in a firm 'no' and decided to look at the rest of the people who signed up:

Jeremy Heere
Michael Mell

I paused looking through the list. Michael. Michael Mell, Jerry's best friend, was auditioning? When did this happen? I never knew that Michael f**king Mell, would be auditioning. I shook my head and continued looking at the sign up sheet.

Jared Kleinman

I had a feeling I knew who he was going to go for. Head first into a political abyss, I sang in my head.

Both Murphy siblings huh? Wonder who they're going for. "Brooke and Chloe?" I turned at the voice. Christine looked at the sign up sheet. "Oh! You're joining! Perfect! It would be just like last year!" She commented. She then looked at me. She put her mouth close to my ear. "Hey Brookie, have you told Chloe about your crush yet?" She whispered, causing me to blush. I stared blankly, the only person I'd told was.... oh no.

"Nah, n-no," I whispered back. "S-she doesn't need to know." Christine gave me a look. I shook my head gesturing for her to shut it. "But hey, are you auditioning for Eliza?" I asked her a normal question. If Chloe knew about my crush I would probably be killed. Christine blinked.

"Just let me stay here by your side, that would be enough," she sung. Guess that answers it. "Hey who are you auditioning for," she asked throwing a question back. I decided to be as extra as she was with my answer.

"I remember that night I just might regret that night for the rest of my days, I remember those soldier boys trippin' over themselves to win our praise, I remember that dreamlike candle light like a dream you can't quite place, but Alexander, I'll never forget the first time I saw your face, I have never been the same," I answered and Christine just about squealed.

"You're the first person I've asked who's auditioning for Angelica!" She squeaked. I could see why so many people liked this cinnamon roll of a person, she was just too adorable.

"Chloe wanted to audition for Maria," I said. Christine's eyes lit up.

"Oh, wow!" Christine said. She patted me on my arm. "Well, anyway, good luck with your crush!" She said, forgetting to whisper.

Chloe stared at me.
