Rapper Drapper
So basically, this is a chapter where I'll reveal a few ways to become a pro rapper.
To be honest, I've been loaded with a minimum 12 people who pleaded for this chapter.
They all either wanted to meet Eminem, or Rap Monster. And I still can't believe they forget about me.
Coming back to wherever I was, my first rap song was written by me at the age of fourteen. I kinda still have it, cuz it reminds me of what a twisted person I was, and I still am.
Life is no game
Even if you have fame
You still gotta have a high aim
So that no fucker can blame.
That's how stupidly it started. Huh, I bet you'll barely be able to rush those words into a melodious, yet rapping tone.
Anyways, before throwing off some tips for how to enhance your rapping, I'd like to mention why rapping is getting famous nowadays.
Well, these are the few fundamental points:
a) Rap gives one a medium to express without boundaries. As a human everyone love to express them selves in one way or other and rap is best medium to do that.
b) The free use of words in rap allows much more tangled rhymes than any other genre or form of music.
c) In this slow moving world, you need something chicklit to enlighten your enthusiasm. And rapping is the ultimate platform for that.
Now you may add your opinions too, but these are simply the primary ones. So the question arises, why did I capture the reason of its popularity?
Out of the million answers which can easily be available in Google or Siri, I'd preferably indulge on the core fact that you should actually know why rapping is enthralling you. You should concentrate on the basics to understand your love for it. Did it make any sense? I hope not: I dont have any other words to describe it.
Coming to the foremost reason why you declared to read this chapter— How to ameliorate your rapping skills.
Rapping is not a joke. So don't underestimate it. There are rappers out there who changed the world through their words swindled into rap songs.
Nas.Eminem.Kanye West.KRS ONE.Ice Cube.Lil Wayne.Tupac.Rap MonsterSugaJ-HopeBiggie Smalls.
These guys. I really suggest you readers to check out their raps. And briefly observe their words. In some way, they will touch your heart with their storyline.
But. I don't necessarily want to bore you with more blabbering. Let's just stick to the point. What was the point again? Wait, I'll scroll up and see.
Right. Improving your rapping. Well, I'll just hammer some points for you to understand it. Here we go, I can't believe I'm sharing my secret formulas with you people. You should heavenly thank me.
Anyways, the first on the list is discharged by: Tongue-twisters. I strongly advice you not to take it for granted. Tongue twisters are life supporters. Not just it improves your rapping, but also enhances your english pronunciation.
Chillax on your seat, without dropping the phone or laptop, and read the lines below as swift as you can.
Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers
A peck of pickled peppers Peter Piper pickedIf Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppersWhere's the peck of pickled peppers Peter Piper picked?
OR
She sells seashells on the seashore. The shells she sells are surely seashells.
Let me guess. You stammered. Skipped the correct pronunciation. Got confused and grunted before trying again. Or, maybe you didn't try at all. But in order to learn it, you gotta live upto it and love it.
My second hack would possibly be the simplest: Warm up your voice before rapping. Write potential material ahead of time. Practice your diction. Practice controlled breathing. Read out loud. Try to imitate your favorites. Record yourself. Listen to your rapping.
As simple as that looks, the results of that would come out far later than the first one would've turned out. But not to worry, I've another tip too.
Easy Three: Listen to an amateur rapper and an expert. Learn why the experts are good to hear and the amateurs are not. Compare. Then try to imagine yourself as that expert and think alike, yet far different. Same isn't attractive- but unique surely is.
Thats the end of this chapter. I kinda wanted to write more but I'm dragged into some task so... Well, atleast you wont get bored now. And before I leave, I wanted to make a special mention.
Tip number 1 has worked for several great rappers, including Eminem and Suga. So keep it in mind and go with the flow.
See you in the next chapter. Till then, ponder what you want me to write next. All the best!
