I start the car and back out of the car park. As Ava directs me, her face is dull with no emotion. I just don't get it. Waiting at the lights, a monster truck pulls up next to us. Familiar faces are inside, I recognise them as jocks who tripped me up at lunch today.

"Oh, isn't that cute? The emo and the nerd hanging out!" The leader shouts, his companions laughing behind him.

"Shut it, Barry!" Ava yells, angrily.

I'm suprised, I didn't think she could yell. She never has in my presence, although I've only known her for not even a full day.

"Trying to fight back Avalon? It will never work!" Barry says, snickering.

Ava hands me a piece of paper.

"Ring it now," she says through gritted teeth.

She gets out of the car and goes to a light post. She then begins to climb it. I immediatly begin to ring the number. This girl is freaking me out. Ava balances on the top, the light goes green and she falls

Right on to the monster truck. The number goes to voice mail, saying thank you and then hanging up. Odd. Inside the monster truck, everyone is freaking out. Ava gets on the side, grabs Barry by the shirt and pulls him out through the window. With the truck still in motion, she gets on top of the truck, Barry's shirt still in her hand. She dangles him over the truck's side.

"No, please no!" He pleads.

"I feel a cramp coming," she smirks. "Should I help my poor hand?"

Did she just threaten murder? Ava gets on the driver's side and slams her foot on the brakes. The truck immediatly stops. She gets on the road and lets go of Barry's shirt. He shakes in fright. 

"I spared you this time. Be careful what you say next time, Big Boy," Ava snickers.

Police cars come around. I go over to see what's going on. Two police officers come up to her. 

"What did you do this time, Ava?" One of them asks.

"He got on my nerves, I nearly ended his life. What did you expect? You've been there all the other times. You need to learn a lesson, Brother," she says, her brow raised.

Okay, that's super confusing. I'm just going to pretend I didn't hear that.

"Need a lift home?" The other asks.

"Nope I've already got one. See you home," Ava says triumphently, making her way to my car.

She gets in and I take off. I do not want to make a scene. Now I'm scared for my sanity. Did I imagine that? I pinch myself. Nope I didn't imagine it, it was reality. I look over to Ava and her earbuds are still in! Through all of that, she didn't take them out. Now I'm thinking second thoughts about going to her house. Oh well, I can't get out of this mess I put myself in can I?
