When we got to Ava's house, I was amazed. It was three stories, wide and had a garage for four vans. We got our stuff from the back and went to the door. Ava opened it and I followed her. Inside were lots of kids with adults chasing after them. Some where about my age, others much younger. An adult came up to the two of us.
"Hello Ava. Who's this?" She asked, shaking my hand.
"James Renning. I brought him here because we had a school project to work on. He also saw everything which I figured you might want plus I thought the others may want to see someone new. We're going to leave now, bye Sister," she says, grabbing my hand and leading me through the hallways.
We enter a room with two beds, a mini library and emo musicians posters plastered on the walls.
"You'll be sleeping in that bed. This is my room, just follow me around the place is pretty big. I don't have a designated bed time, the rest do so you can go to bed with them or stay up with me. The choice is yours. Everything else, I'll explain as the day carries on. Now, let's get started on the assignment," Ava says, getting her books out from her bag.
I do the same and we work together for about an hour or so. When we have finished, a boy, who looks about five, comes up to us and tugs on Ava's outstretched leg.
"Can we have a song, please?" He asks, lip out.
"One song or Sister will be yelling at me for making showers late," she sighs, getting up.
The kid gets super excited and leaves. Then a stampede of feet goes past the door to get to a room somewhere down the hallway.
"Come on, they'll want you to be there," Ava says, leaving the room.
I get up and follow her to a room, full of kids eargerly waiting. Ava goes to the front of the room, where a space has been cleared and plugs in her phone to a speaker. She takes out her earbuds and gets a microphone. She then plays the music and looks at everyone. The music starts and she begins.

Ava singing, it.... it was the most beautiful thing you ever heard. Her voice was so melodic and harmonised with the tune so well it was just amazing. Most of the kids were singing along, some were swaying with each other to the music on parts. But what really struck me was Ava. The whole time she stared at me, not once did she take her eyes off me. But she sang and it sounded like the words were for me. It sounded really strange but it seemed true.
After the song, one of those 'Sisters' came into the room and told everyone it was time for showers. All the kids got up and went to their rooms. Ava put her earbuds in and whispered
"Follow me."
I followed her back to her room and she got her pyjamas. She then threw me some and we went upstairs, where a line of kids were outside waiting for the shower. You would have thought thirty kids having a shower wouldn't take long but boy, was I wrong. It must have taken at least an hour before I went in. I was second last, just before Ava. I got dressed and went outside, just as she went in. I decided to stay and wait for her, to be nice and all. Music started to play through speakers as she turned the water on and she sang along. I recognised all three songs; the last night, the resistance and not gonna die, all by Skillet. After about ten minutes, she came out in tiger pyjamas, a black beanie covering her head.
I followed her to a table where all the kids were and we sat down and ate. Well, out of Ava and I, I only ate. She again didn't touch her food. I don't want to push any boundaries but I am going to have to ask questions later.
