A Tiny heart beat
The next morning Camilo woke up in his bed alone. Sitting up he rubbed his eyes to get the sleep out when he heard what sounded like puking in the bathroom. "Sweetie? You ok?" He asked walking in. There he saw Natasha sitting on the floor looking incredibly sick. He rushed to her side and pulled her hair back.
"Mi Vida what's wrong?" "Nothing... Probably just a stomach bug that's all." Natasha said before she threw up again. Camilo looked at Natasha worried but took her word for it. Believing she'd get better as the day progressed. She didn't. In fact things only got worse. She couldn't stand straight up for more than 5 minutes before stumbling to look for a place to sit.
She was super emotional and opted on eating the strangest things. Empanadas with ice cream, that sort of thing. At first everyone chalked it up to her menstrual cycle. She often had these symptoms when it came. But the only problem was she hadn't had her period in 3 months. Isabela would know.
Their cycles were linked for some unfathomable reason. Camilo was determined to get to the bottom of what was making his girlfriend so.... Eh. First he started following her around town and he noticed she had to take a break from walking every 10 minutes or so. Which was off because usually she was always up and moving with him.
Often tiring him out. Then it was watching what she ate. Still with the strangest combinations. One thing he noticed was that she often avoided the foods she loved to eat and ate the things she couldn't stand. Like peppers and taffy. She hated those things but now she was eating them like it was the greatest thing since sliced bread.
Next was her throwing it back up and when she did it took everything in Camilo to not rush to her and help her. She looked extremely feverish and Camilo was worried beyond compare now. Natasha had to be sick. Extremely sick. Now knowing this he ran back to the house to figure out how to help her.
Come dinner time everyone was now well aware of Natasha's potential illness. Sitting next to Antonio as usual Natasha looked weak and she could barely keep her head up. Looking down at the food she felt nauseous and felt she would barf at any minute. She couldn't even look at a glass of water without having to throw up.
"Natasha honey are you feeling alright? You don't look so good." Nikita asked her daughter. Pepa who sat on the other side of Natasha noticed what could identify as a bump on her stomach. "Huh? Oh yea... I'm ok mama... I'm ok..." During this time Dolores walked over to Natasha and looked down at her.
"Dolores? Is there something wrong?" Abuela looked at her granddaughter curious as to why it looks like she's staring into Natasha's soul. "May I?" The 22 year old pointed to Natasha's stomach and the girl nodded. Leaning down Dolores put her ear to Natasha's stomach. Pepa shushed everyone as her daughter inspected the girl.
With a gentle smile Dolores stood back up. "W-well? What's wrong with Mi Amor?!" Camilo asked freaking out. The suspense was killing him. "What did you hear?" Maribel asked while trying to get Camilo to calm down for Natasha's sake. "A tiny heart beat."
