Chapter 24 Last
A/N: Last day of school chapter! Hope you enjoy. 2 more chapters left and I feel like you guys are going to hate me in the next two chapters so be prepared! XD Also sorry theres no actual graduation scene I didn't feel like writing it. :P Whoops. But to make up for it, have some classroom hanky panky.
It was the last day of school, graduation would be this evening and then after graduation there was going to be an after party for Lyric her family, and friends at Killian and Liam's bar and finally Lyric and Killian could be upfront with everyone about their relationship which was exciting, but for now Lyric was enjoying her last day in Killians classroom as his student. Since it was the last day everyone was basically just goofing off and finally one student asked Killian a question he was hoping they wouldn't.
"Is it true this is your last year teaching Mr. Jones?"
Lyrics head snapped up towards Killian, confused. Surely it wasn't. If it was he would have at least told her. He loved his job, why would he quit?
Killian sighed and nodded.
"Aye. I've loved teaching, and you've all been wonderful but it's time for me to move on to better things." He said and glanced at Lyric.
Lyric felt a sensation of guilt wash over her. Was she better things? Was he quitting his job for her? Why would he do that? He didn't need to with her not being his student anymore after today it didn't matter if he was a teacher.
Lyric was putting her backpack on as the bell rang.
"McKenna, stay for a minute." Killian said. Lyric sat down and waited for all of the other students to leave.
"So.. that wasn't how I wanted you to find out I was quitting." Killian sighed.
"Why are you quitting?" Lyric asked. "You love this job. You don't have to quit."
"I know I don't have to quit. I want to. For you."
"I don't want you to quit for me. I'm graduating tonight, I'm not your student anymore Killian. We can do whatever we want. How are you going to make a living?"
"Money isn't a problem for me Lyric, and I still work at the bar and do guitar lessons. This way I have more time I focus on what I love more than teaching, my music. and ..my you." Killian smiled and pushed her hair out of her face.
"This is really what you want? You aren't doing this just because you think you need to?" Lyric asked.
"Yes, this is what I want. I've loved teaching, but it was never my first career choice." Killian said.
"Okay." Lyric smiled.
"Come over here after school and help me clear out the room?" Killian asked.
"I will, i can't stay too long though Tink and I are getting ready for graduation together."
"Oh yeah about graduation Whats this I hear about you turning down being the Valedictorian?" Killian asked and crossed his arms.
"I'm not good at public speaking." Lyric shrugged. "I gave it to Belle and as much as I give off that I enjoyed high school, I really don't. I'm ready for it to be over, just give me my diploma and let me go." Lyric smirked. Killian chuckled.
"If you say so. You better go so you aren't late."
"Its the last day of school. What are they gonna do?" Lyric asked.
"Are we revisiting the rebellious phase McKenna?" Killian asked and raised an eyebrow.
"I don't know Mr. Jones, I think you liked my rebellious phase." Lyric said and stood up strolling past him. She turned her head and winked at him over her shoulder before leaving the music building.

The rest of the day was easy, there were a couple of teary eyed teachers who were saying goodbye to seniors. Lyric had helped Will, Victor and Jefferson pull of some senior pranks during lunch, including one on Killian that he was probably discovering right about now. They had rigged a confetti cannon to his desk so when he opened the drawer it would release confetti everywhere, as well as make a loud noise that would probably scare the piss out of him. They also rearranged the furniture in his classroom. Lyric had taken his keys after bumping into him in the hallway causing him to drop them She took his office key and the music building key off the ring before turning around and handing it to him.
As the final bell rang, Lyric gathered her things and headed towards the music building.
Killian was looking at his keyring confused.
"You just coming back?" Lyric asked.
"Yeah after lunch I was helping set up the field for graduation." he said.
"I can't find my keys my office key and the music building key are missing."
Lyric shrugged. "Maybe its unlocked?"
"I could have sworn I locked that." He sighed.
"Huh." Lyric shrugged and followed him inside he was either about to laugh, or be really pissed off. Killian looked around at the chairs all flipped upside down and stacked oddly.
"Son of a.. Damn senior pranks." He sighed.
"Well, I mean it is your last day." Lyric laughed. He just gave her a look and looked towards his office.
"Bloody hell. I know I locked that door. These senior pranks cross the line a little further every year." He grumbled. "Can you help me fix this?" He asked gesturing to the overturned chaotic classroom.
"Yeah sure." Lyric smiled as he walked into his office she began to fix the chairs in the classroom.
BANG
"Fuck!" Killian shouted and fell over his office chair. Lyric turned and watched as the confetti rain down on him and burst into an explosive fit of giggles. Killian stood up and brushed himself off.
"You.." He said and stalked over to her. "Only you know, my full schedule, when I am here, and when I am not."
"I don't know what youre talking about." Lyric shrugged and gave him a sly smile.
"Where are my keys Lyric?" Killian asked.
"Keys?" Lyric questioned. Killian narrowed his eyes.
"Oh. So thats how you want to play it then?" He asked and grabbed her hand leading her into the office. Lyric giggled at the confetti all over his floor.
"I know you did this. Or at least had a part in it. So hand over my keys." Killian said with his hand out.
"I don't have your keys Mr. Jones." Lyric said innocently and batted her eyelashes at him.
"Turn around. Put your hands on the desk." Killian said and gave her a dark smirk that set her whole soul on fire. Lyric turned around compliantly and put her hands on the desk. Killian walked up behind her and kicked her feet apart. Lyric looked over her shoulder at him with a grin.
"Turn around." He said.
Lyric giggled and turned her head back around.
"Do you think its funny to steal from your teacher Miss Mckenna?" Killian asked and knelt down patting her legs down
"Well, I don't know what you are talking about Mr. Jones. But this, this I find incredibly amusing." Lyric replied.
"I'm sure you do." Killian said and patted the back pockets on her jeans a little harder than he had the rest of the way up her pants making her jolt forward. She felt a blush spreading across her face and she bit her lip. He reached his hands around to her front pockets digging his hands into them having no luck finding his keys. He turned her around and lifted her slightly so she was sitting on his desk now. He raised an eyebrow at her and looked to be thinking for a moment. Lyric had to admit, this side of him was a huge turn on and they had never gotten physical at the school before and had she known that taking his keys and pulling a prank would have set this side of him off, she would have done it ages ago.
"Take your shirt off." Killian said. Lyric blinked a couple of times.
"Excuse me?" She asked.
"You heard me. Shirt. Off." Killian smirked. Lyric bit her lip and pulled her tee shirt off over her shoulders.
Killian ran his hands up her sides making her shiver. Without warning his left hand reached down into her bra and he hooked his finger around the ring that his office and classroom keys was attached to and pulled it out waving them in front of her.
"What do we have here?" He asked.
"That's a strange place for keys." Lyric smirked. Killian arched a brow at her.
"Whatcha thinking about Mr. Jones?" Lyric asked.
"I'm thinking about what I'm going to do with you." Killian muttered and leaned in placing a trail of kisses across her collarbone before nipping the sensitive skin harder than he normally would making Lyric hiss.
"Normally, I'd give you detention. But school is out, it's the last day of school, and technically you are no longer my student, so.. I'll have to get a little creative." Killian grinned and snaked his hands down to her pants unbuttoning them and tugging them down. He unbuckled his belt and unbuttoned his pants and pushed them down with his boxers. Lyric was absolutely giddy, she had wanted to do this all year. She couldn't hide her excitement. Killian cocked his head to the side as he hooked his fingers around her panties pulling them down and pulling her towards the edge of the desk.
"You wanted this, didn't you?" Killian asked.
"Kind of." Lyric bit her lip and glanced away.
"For such a quiet girl, you sure do have a dirty mind." Killian grinned. "And I fucking love it."
Lyric wasn't sure exactly at what point they had ended up on the floor in his office but now both of their bodies were covered in plastic confetti glitter.
"I knew I should have gone with the paper confetti." She giggled.
"I don't know, I kinda like you all sparkly." Killian smirked and kissed up her neck.
"Mmm, God I wish I didn't have to leave. I could use a few more rounds of that but I promised Tink we'd get ready together." Lyric pouted.
"That's okay, later." Killian winked.
"I am really going to have to prank you more often if that's what happens when I do." Lyric grinned as she stood up brushing what she could of the confetti off of her.
"I honestly don't know what came over me." Killian chuckled "I figured it was the last day and after today, I won't be in this classroom again so why the hell not."
"Well, it was amazing." Lyric smiled and pulled her clothes on. "You are amazing. As always." She said and kissed him while he was adjusting his clothes.
"If you keep doing that, you are going to be late to graduation." Killian smirked.
"Its tempting." Lyric laughed. "Are you sure you don't want me to stay and help you clean up?"
"Yeah, I'm good you go." Killian smiled. "I'll see you in a few hours."
"Okay. See you in a few hours." Lyric said and wiggled her fingers at him as she walked out of his office.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
After the graduation ceremony Lyrics friends and family gathered at the bar, Liam had closed the bar just for them, and of course since it was a bunch of teenagers, there was no alcohol being served.
"Congratulations cousin." Eric smiled and ruffled Lyrics hair. Lyric shoved his hand away.
"Thank you Eric."
"So we finally meeting this mysterious boyfriend of yours tonight?"
"Yep." Lyric smiled."Is grandpa here?" Lyric asked.
"Yep, hes over there talking to your music teacher about how you should have applied to law school." Eric smirked.
"Great.." Lyric sighed. "So I heard you proposed to Ariel. When's the wedding?"
"In the fall. I know your school schedule might get in the way so if you can't make it, I understand."
"No, I'll be there. Besides I'll be in New York so it will be easier for me to get there."
Sarah walked over with graduation cake in her hands for both of them.
"Thanks Aunt Sarah." Eric smiled and took the cake walking towards Ariel.
"Nervous?" Sarah asked.
"Oh yeah. Grandpa Jack is going to have a stroke when he finds out, i've been dating my music teacher." Lyric sighed.
"Its okay. He can't do anything about it so don't worry." Sarah smiled. "And Killian isn't a teacher anymore so there is no way he could lose his job. It's going to be fine."
"I hope so." Lyric smiled. "I guess its time." She said and approached Killian who was getting an earful from her grandfather.
"Its time." She said.
"Right." Killian said and looked at Jack. "Excuse me a moment." He said and followed Lyric.
"You were not kidding about that guy hating music." Killian chuckled.
"Nope." Lyric said and cleared her throat getting everyone's attention.
"So.. I have kind of an announcement to make. Well.. we do." She she said and and pulled Killian forward. "As you guys know, Killian quit his job today was his last day as a teacher at Storybrooke High, and we felt, it was finally time to come forward. Most of my family knows I've been seeing someone and that someone is Killian." Lyric said. There was a mix of reactions between shocked gasps and cute little awws.
"So that good girl act was just a ruse then?" Will asked with a smirk.
"Very funny Will." Lyric said and gave him an unamused look and scanned the room for her grandfather who was nowhere to be seen. She sighed, knowing this would happen.
"I'll be right back. Killian will answer your questions." She said and looked at Killian.
"Gee. Thanks love." Killian laughed as Lyric walked out of the bar to see her grandfather standing there.
"Grandpa." She said. He turned around and scoffed at her.
"So you're disappointed. What else is new?" Lyric sighed.
"How could I not be? Your teacher? Are you kidding me right now?" Jack asked.
"No, I'm not. I love him and you don't have to accept it. I just wanted everyone to know."
"You must be so proud of yourself. Is that how you got into Juilliard? You slept with your music teacher?"
Lyrics eyes welled.
"No. Its not. I got in because I have talent, talent which they saw and you have never been able to! Why do you hate me?"
"I don't hate you Lyric! I just wanted better for you." Jack said and walked away. Killian stepped outside as Lyric was wiping her eyes.
"What did he say?" Killian asked.
"Nothing." Lyric sniffled. "I'm.. going inside." She said and walked past Killian and went inside. Killian narrowed his eyes and followed Jack.
"Hey!" He shouted.
Jack turned around.
"What do you want?" He asked.
"Why must you continuously upset her like this?" Killian asked.
"Shes a tough girl. She can handle it." Jack said.
"You are such an asshole." Killian said and shook his head.
"You seem like you love her." Jack said. Killian nodded.
"More than anything." He replied.
"You'd do anything to ensure she's happy." Jack said.
"Aye." Killian agreed.
"Good." Jack said. "Remember that." He added and walked away leaving Killian feeling like that conversation would come back to bite him somehow.
