*two weeks later*

If there was sport Daisy hated, it was dodgeball. And it didn't help that she was so. Damn. Clumsy. But, to her dismay, that was what they were going to play in PE class today. Unsurprisingly, Daisy got hit within the first minute of play. She was the first to be out. It wasn't shocking, though. Daisy was, like, the worst  in the class at dodgeball. The populars laughed at her on her way to the bleachers, of course. And just a few minutes later, Peach walked over to the bleachers because she was out.No one laughed at her, though. Daisy sighed. Every day was the same. What did she do to be treated like this...? "Hi," a voice said next to her. Daisy turned and saw Boo.

"Hey," Daisy forced a smile on her face.

"Umm..." Boo shuffled around in his spot, he looked like he was trying to say something.

"What?" Daisy asked.

"Rosalina keeps saying how she, you, and Peach used to be best friends," Boo said. "Do you mind telling me... How you guys seperated?"

"Ok, I guess I'll tell you,"Daisy sighed. "It's probably fair that you know the story."

*flashback* 

It was the end of the school day. Daisy grabbed her bag from her locker and walked to the place where she, Peach, and Rosalina usually met up to walk to their homes together. When she arrived, Peach and Rosalina were already there. "Daisy," Peach started.

"Yeah?" Daisy asked.

"You know how Rosie and I both tried out for cheer last week?" Peach said. Daisy nodded. "Well, both of us made it. I'm the cheer captain," Peach applied some lip gloss.

"Congrats!" Daisy smiled.

"However..." Peach frowned. "I talked about this with the other cheerleaders and we have to stop hanging out."

"Why?' Daisy asked, confused.

"Because you're too uncool. Dixie, Birdo, and Toadette are all better than you. Rosie and I were given a choice, to stay a loser like you or be a popular with them," Peach answered. "I don't know about Rosie, but I'm choosing to be a popular."

Wait- so... Can I hang out with you guys?" Daisy asked.

"Eww, no," Peach replied, flipping her hair. "I hate you, Daisy. It's a new school year. I've changed." So, that explains why Peach had been ignoring Daisy lately.

"I thought we were friends..." Daisy said.

"We were, years ago. But, now, I can't stand you!" Peach said.

"Tell me again- why are you leaving me?" Daisy asked, getting sadder by thPeach replied. "I'm the cheer captain. I'll be the queen bee of school and I can't miss that opportunity! Sorry, but you can't join us. We all despise you."

"What?" Daisy almost whispered.

"Wait-" Daisy got cut off.

"My friends are here, Daisy. Bye," Peach went to join Dixie, Birdo, and Toadette.

"I just wanted to give her this," Daisy said quietly to herself, holding a heart-shaped keepsake box that said "To my BFF" on the top. Daisy hugged it to her chest. She was on the verge of tears. "Rosie?" she asked her only friend left. Was she?

"Sorry, Dais," Rosalina mumbled and headed towards the other girls. When Daisy got home, she flopped on her bed and cried harder than she ever had before.

*flashback*

"And I haven't shed a tear since then," Daisy said. "That was at the beginning of 7th grade."

Boo was just staring at her, speechless. "I'm, umm, sorry you had to go through that," he mumbled.

"It's fine," Daisy gave Boo a small smile. "That day, I had forgotten that Mario was supposed to come over for a project and he saw me crying, so I told him the whole story, even though we hardly talked. He then invited me to hang out with him, Weegee, and Yosh."

"Do you still have the keepsake box?" Boo asked.

"To be honest, yes," Daisy answered. "I hid it."

"Well, thanks for telling me," Boo smiled.

*after school*

Luigi took a deep breath. This is it, he thought. I'm not going to turn back. He got out his phone and texted Rosalina.

Luigi: Hey. :) Can you meet me at the park near your house asap?

Instantly, there was a reply.

Rosalina: Sure, I'll be there.

When Luigi got to the park, Rosalina was already there. :Hey," he said.

"Hi, Weegee," Rosalina replied. "What's up?"

"I need to tell you something," Luigi said.

"What?" Rosalina asked.

"For awhile, I've had, umm... Feelings for you," Luigi shifted uncomfortably. "I don't know if you feel the same, but... Will you be my girlfriend?"

"Weegee..." Rosalina smiled. "Of course."

The, erm, couple chatted for a bit, then left, both happy about what happened.

*at Daisy's house*

Daisy had finished eating dinner. She saw a text on herphone and opened it up.

Mario: Luigi asked Rosalina out today and she accepted! They're a couple now! :D

Now, Daisy  was happy for them, but not for herself. The person she had a crush on for years was now taken. Daisy felt like her heart dropped to the ground. But, still, she had to fake her happiness.

 Daisy: Yay! Congrats to them!

Daisy laid on her bed and stared up at the ceiling. Ugh, why does my life have to be so miserable? she thought.

*at a theme park*

"Dettie, let's do this!" Toad exclaimed, pointing to a large roller-coaster with loops, drops, sudden tilts and turnes, and- you get the point. Toadette turned pale.

"N-no," she stuttered. "I'm afraid of r-roller-coasters."

"Please, Dettie?" Toad pleaded.

"No," Toadette said. "You can ride, but not me."

"I rode all the boring rides with you," Toad pointed out. "This is the only roller-coaster you have to do."

"Umm... Ugh, fine," Toadette gave in. 

"Yay!" Toad said, dragging his girlfriend towards the roller-coaster.

"Toad, I'm not so sure about this..." Toadette whispered as they sat down.

"Don't worry, it'll be fine," Toad smiled. Unlike Toadette, Toad loved roller-coasters, the bigger, the better. They started to move. Toadette clutched her boyfriend's hand as they rose. Uh oh, Toadette thought. They were going towards a drop. Suddenly... "Ahh!" Toad yelled happily as they zoomed downwards. Toadette was too scared to scream. She had a death grip on Toad's hand and she was becoming pale. Toadette had never gone on a loop on a roller-coaster before. So, she mentally freaked out as they went upside down for a quick second. Let's just say that the ride was a total nightmare for Toadette, but Toad loved it! As the ride came to a stop, Toadette felt herself getting dizzy. "That was AWESOME!" Toad exclaimed as they got out.

"No..." Toadette mumbled, putting a hand on her forehead. "Can we get a snow cone?"

"You betcha!" Toad grinned as the couple went to the snow cone stand.

So now you guys know how Peach, Daisy, and Rosalina seperated! If you've ever been treated badly by someone you called your best friend, just know that life isn't always fair and these things happen for a reason. There are many much better people to befriend out there. I thought I didn't have a lot of scenes w/ populars so I decided to put a scene where Toad and Toadette are on a date at a theme park!
