“All of you, go to my office now,” Mr. Goomba ordered sternly. The students obeyed him because no one liked seeing the principal in a bad mood. They piled into his office after Mr. Goomba himself.

“It’s all Daisy’s fault!” Peach said right away. “She doesn’t have self-control.” Seriously?! Daisy thought angrily. Self-control is what kept me from beating you for the past two and a half years!

“It doesn’t matter if it’s her fault or not. What matters is that you were all involved,” Mr. Goomba stated. “I will pick two people to explain what happened. Luigi, you go first.”

“On my way out of the school, I noticed them arguing. Peach, Daisy, Toad, Rosalina, Wario, Waluigi, Dixie- they were already there before I came. As I passed, I heard Rosalina get fired up about something. Since she was my friend and I don’t like seeing my friends mad, I went to her and told her to calm down. I guess I involved myself by doing that and I really am sorry. Anyways, the argument went on. Then, Peach slapped Daisy. Peach and her friends have been bullying my friends and me for a long time. Daisy had held in all of her anger and that slap was the last straw for her. Daisy kicked Peach in the shin and after that, the rest of us started physically fighting as well,” Luigi explained. “I don’t think anyone got injured too gravely. But if you want my honest opinion, we’re all at fault this time.”

“Thank you, Luigi. Peach, can you please explain what happened in your point of view?” Mr. Goomba turned to Peach.

“Being the friendly person I am, I walked up to Daisy and asked her how her relationship with Luigi was. She and Luigi are good friends and I was about to let her know that she could always talk to me if she had friend problems,” Peach lied. “Daisy rudely told me to go away. And then, Toad showed up and joined our conversation without permission. So did Rosalina. Wario, Waluigi, and Dixie soon joined us as well. After that, Luigi joined the conversation. Luigi, Daisy, Rosalina, and Toad were being really mean. It was tolerable until Daisy called me an ugly loner and kicked my shin. My friends and I only fought for self-defense. My limbs still hurt from the chaos. I honestly think Luigi, Daisy, Rosalina, and Toad are to blame for all of this.”

“Hmm, that’s odd. Luigi, Daisy, and Rosalina hardly cause any trouble. Toad has been behaving much better now than before,” Mr. Goomba stated.

“I assure you that what I said is all true, sir,” Peach replied politely.

“Yeah, she’s right!” Dixie agreed.

“Then, why did Luigi say that Peach slapped Daisy BEFORE Daisy kicked Peach in the shin?” Mr. Goomba questioned.

“That wasn’t true,” Waluigi said. “He just said that to make Peach seem like the one to blame.”

“If Peach hadn’t slapped me, then I wouldn’t have kicked her and the physical part of the fight wouldn’t have happened,” Daisy pointed out.

“All of you are saying different things,” Mr. Goomba shook his head. “I guess we’ll have to watch what the CCTV camera caught.”

He clicked on something on his computer and several videos popped up. He clicked on one and rewound it a little.

The students gathered around the principal to watch what was happening. When Mr. Goomba had all of the information he needed, he stopped the video.

“What Luigi said was correct,” Mr. Goomba stated. “For being involved, all eight of you will have two hours of detention from tomorrow to Friday. You may leave now.”

The nerds politely said bye to the principal as they and the populars left his office.

*at Peach's house*

No one questioned Peach's absence when she got home since her parents were at work. Both of them had jobs that caused them to be at work all the time and go on business trips often. Peach was used to being home alone all day.

Peach went to her room and locked the door. She entered her giant walk-in closet. Peach headed to a corner of the closet. She picked up a few dresses that were covering a drawer that only she ever opened. Peach then pulled out a book.

After closing the drawer, putting the dresses back, and returning to her room, Peach sat down on her bed. "Sour Peaches" was written on the front of the book. Peach grabbed several different colored Sharpies and opened the book.

Sour Peaches was a book where Peach wrote down bad things about her classmates. Each page had a classmate's name and a picture of them.

Only Peach wrote in Sour Peaches and only she knew about it. That was because she also wrote things about her friends and Bowser. Peach wrote about EVERYONE.

She read what she wrote about everyone and also added a few things. After about half an hour, Peach returned the book to its hiding place and decided to text her friends.

*at Mario and Luigi's house*

"What took you so long?" Mario questioned as soon as Luigi came in.

"Something happened and I had to go to the principal's office," Luigi muttered.

"What happened?" Mario asked, surprised that his brother got detention. "The populars again?"

"Yup," Luigi replied monotonously, sitting on the couch. He was upset because he had gotten detention for the first time and it wasn't even his fault.

"Who else got detention?"

"Peach, Daisy, Toad, Rosalina, Wario, Waluigi, and Dixie."

"Peach got detention?!"

"Yeah, the girl you love is a witch in disguise. It’s all her fault that we got in trouble."

"Hey, don't say that! She's a goddess."

"She's annoying and I don't know how anyone can stand her!"

"Weegee, what happened to you?" Mario eyed Luigi. His younger brother had scratches and bruises on his arms.

"So, do you still like Peach?" Luigi asked after he explained the incident to Mario.

"Yeah because she's so pretty..."

"How do you feel about the other populars?"

"I can't hate them because if I become a popular, they'll be my friends."

"But, you're not a popular."

"Yeah, however I'm not losing hope."

"Mario, giving someone another chance is like giving someone another bullet so they have another chance to shoot you."

"Not necessarily... I'm just forgiving," Mario then turned away from Luigi and went on StarTube on his laptop.

"What are you watching?" Luigi asked.

"You'd get mad at me if I told you," Mario stated.

"Tell me, Mario. I'm your brother," Luigi said.

"I'm watching Peach's latest video," Mario replied, not taking his eyes off the computer screen. Luigi leaned closer to Mario and saw that a video called "Rush Outfits: Spring" was loading on Mario's laptop.

Luigi left the room as soon as he heard Peach's annoying voice.

How was that? This chapter is basically a second part to the previous chapter- A Step Further. Btw if you've seen the movie Mean Girls then you probably already figured out that the Sour Peaches book is kind of a Mean Girls reference in a way. Of course I had to make a few changes tho. Annnnd I have a suggestion for you! Listen to Holy Ground by Taylor Swift and pay close attention to the lyrics. Which people in Mushroom High does the song remind you of? I already know my answer.
