Exhibit F - The Coffeeverse Bruce
Honestly, this is my second favorite version of Bruce. Probably because this is the closest Zen could write a version resembling our Bruce.
Portrayed by: Jonathan Rhys Meyers
You know I saw this one fanart on the internet of the Vampire Bat, that is if Batman was actually a vampire. This man could be perfect for the role of Vampire Bat in my opinion. He just gives off a slightly unsettling and secretive vibe, idk what it is about him but if I saw him at night in the dark, I would probably think he's looking out for a blood donor.
Background: Same origin story as the Bruce I know, no changes there.
Alias: Batman
Age: 40 onwards
Current Status: Alive
Which makes me think, has Zen ever written a story in which Bruce was dead? Like actually dead? Now I am not giving any ideas, I'm just saying... Nope, she hasn't written any such story yet. But considering how happy she looks with the idea, I guess you're going to see such a story soon (sorry potential Bruce version that I stopped from coming into being).
Eye color: Steel Blue
Hair color and type: Dark hair, styled.
Skin color: Fair
Height: 6'2"
Love Interest: Selina Kyle (finally)
You know, in all the women Bruce has dated (and that's saying a lot because I think if we are to count whether Bruce has more adoptive kids or more love interests, even I don't know which side would win), Selina is by far the best person he could ever be with.
Hobbies: Bruce is not the main focus of the series so we don't get to see much of his hobbies. But I think it was mentioned somewhere that he likes to play chess...? I don't clearly remember where exactly because there are eight books in total and I can't keep track of every single chapter.
Personality: As I said, this Bruce is closest to our Bruce so his personality and traits are a lot similar too.
The prominent personality facts about him are as follows:
• The most important fact which everyone should know is that this Bruce has a favorite son too and guess who it is... Me, aka the Tim from this universe, the Coffeeverse Tim.
• This Bruce apparently threatens Tim too by taking away his vigilante status if he ends up endangering himself on patrol or otherwise. (Now that's one fact I don't like about him but given my own past record, I might let it pass. The guy is just trying to make sure his favorite son lives).
• He is adorable as a grandfather, absolutely adorable. If you guys have formed this mental image of Bruce being the tough, emotionless guy then you should see him when he is with kids. It's the most wholesome and adorable thing you would ever see.
• He is not very verbally expressive but he occasionally lets his family know that he values them. Also, actions speak louder than words in his case.
• Alfred is a father figure and trusted confidante for him. He always takes his advice seriously. Without Alfred, he wouldn't have survived for so long and he knows that very well.
• So yeah I told you how his favorite son was Tim? Well, his favorite daughter is Cassandra. And Tim and Cass in this story are an unstoppable favorite siblings duo.
• The one thing I don't like about this Bruce (aside from him threatening me) is that he still sticks to his I work alone mantra. He tries to take responsibility for everything that goes wrong on his watch and tries to deal with it on his own sometimes forgetting that there are literally a lot of people in his family who can help him with it.
• The one thing I do like is that he is not reluctant of accepting his mistakes and does not hesitate to apologize when he's wrong.
• He trusts Cassandra a lot more than the rest of his children, even more than he trusts Tim. Because he knows Cass would pay heed to his warnings and be cautious while Tim would remain a self-sacrificial coffeeholic who jumps into any danger he can find (apologies to my own self in advance).
• He is empathetic and understanding although he may not show it often.
• His family is always a priority to him although he sometimes messes things up when the city is at stake.
• If any of his kids are put in danger, it is hard for him to maintain his calm but he tries to think of a rational way so that his kids are safe and the matter is resolved with the least damage on both sides.
• So far, his greatest nemesis aside from the Joker is Deathstroke. The man gets on his nerves, knows exactly how to push him to the limits of his self-control, and keeps implying that he and Bruce have many similarities when it comes to parenting, which obviously results in Bruce flipping out...
• I think his fear would be the same as that of Oculus Bruce with the added guilt of him knowing that all the people he is training are being fed to an untimely death.
Theme Song: Whatever It Takes by Imagine Dragons
This song is really catchy and whenever it plays, you simply can't help but vibe to it. Also, it kinda shows how this Bruce has a determined and unwavering spirit.
