This is the Unorphaned Bruce, that is the Bruce who didn't have to watch his parents get murdered and grew up as the Mayor's son. Some would describe him as the Rich Asshole Bruce but I disagree. He wasn't an asshole in the story though he got dealt with some pretty unfair ending (looking at you, Z, you know what I mean).

In other words, this is the Bruce I feel extremely sorry for due to multiple reasons. A) He did not get to have his whole awesome Batman story. B) Even though his parents didn't die and he was saved from that trauma, he had a pretty shitty love life. C) He still didn't get a happy ending despite everything he put up with in the story (Z, you're a very cruel author. I hate you).

Plus can we take a moment to appreciate how hella attractive he is? By far the most dashing Bruce I have ever seen (kinda feels weird to say this out loud but well... I'm being honest here, don't take this out of context). Hey Z, you have no heart or soul left if you can give so much pain to this beautiful drop-dead gorgeous man... 

Okay so before I get carried away fanboying over this Bruce, let's head to the background. 

Background: Here the origin story is finally different from the rest. In this AU, Thomas and Martha Wayne weren't murdered so Bruce didn't have to go through his whole Batman arc. Instead of Bruce, Richard who never got adopted later became Batman. In this story, Bruce adopts none of us and Richard takes up that role instead.

[Spoiler alert, I die in this story, woohoo! No need to mourn now, my death had a very significant role.]

Hobbies: Playing the piano, swimming, fencing, playing chess with his Dad, golfing, some other generic hobbies rich gentlemen have but weren't mentioned in the story because Dickiebird took all the spotlight.

Personality: Since the whole Batman arc flipped over to Richard instead of Bruce in this series, his personality is also very different from how we see him in canon and fanfiction usually.

The prominent personality facts about him are as follows:

• Grew up unaware of the perils faced by the common Gothamite. Has had a very privileged lifestyle due to being the Mayor's only son. Some people call him the uncrowned prince of Gotham.

• Has the dark and brooding thing going on for him even without being orphaned. However, he is slightly less empathetic compared to the Bruces who become Batman.

• On the plus side, he is not as emotionally constipated when it comes to expressing his feelings compared to the rest of the Bruces. But does that trait really help him in this story? Nope.

• Self-blaming. When things go wrong in the lives of people close to him, he ends up blaming himself.

• However, being raised as the uncrowned prince of Gotham means he has this attitude of getting what he wants all the time. But then Z had to go teach him not one but like a shit ton of lessons by effing his life up tenfold. 

[If you still can't tell how much she hates Bruce by now, then I'm sorry, I can't believe you as it is a sheer impossibility not to notice. She has herself mentioned that this series is the ultimate Bruce Wayne diss fic. But what Zen has to say about Castle Of Glass might shock you more and it is no help that her friend Emily keeps supplying even crueler ideas to her].

• In this story, Bruce is portrayed as having no personality other than being a billionaire with good looks and a playboy reputation. It is not until you reach the third book by which you get to see more depth added to his character.

[Also, this story's Richard has a personal grudge or so toward him which makes it even funnier to read, he roasts him every chance he gets].

• He does have a sharp mind and a talent for inventing and innovating gadgets as he runs Wayne Tech quite successfully.

• He is very attached to his parents and can't see them get hurt. Although he is more attached to his mother if we are to draw a comparison between the two.

• He values and respects Afred's advice.

• He is very protective over his loved ones. Will go out of his way to make sure that they are safe and that is one aspect he retains from the canon Bruce version.

Yikes, such a sad song for him... But very catchy though. It just makes me sad in ways I can't explain. Loving someone so much but not being able to be with them because they are either gone or passed away... It hurts.
