The Second Death
When David awoke from his deeply troubled sleep, he decided to go to Bobby's house and talk with him. Hopefully it would not end up in murder. David was walking out the door and realized that his pistol was not in his coat pocket.
The men in suits were leaving. One of them slipped something into his pocket...
David now understood. There he was and saw them take something. It was his Desert Eagle. His favorite gun. David had to get it back, but how? He had no idea who those people were. But he grabbed his other gun and ran out the door.
Once David arrived at the house, he saw Bobby out front. Bobby didn't notice as he was washing his car.
"Hey," David called. Bobby looked up.
"Do you need something?" Bobby asked.
"As a matter of fact yes. I was hired to kill you. For 75,000 dollars. I don't want to but I get a lot of money. Maybe not everyone deserves to die." David was dumbfounded at his own response. It slipped out of his mouth like the Titanic under water. Maybe...maybe not everyone needs to die. What if I stopped killing. I honestly have no reason...Maybe...
David drove away. He sped up around the corner and by the time he got to his house, five minutes had passed. For a ten minute trip. David decided that he should leave his life as a killer behind. The only problem was that Bobby knew too much. Unfortunately.
Later that night, David called Bobby. He answered on the first ring. David described how he was going to talk with Bobby. He said to meet at the train wreck at ten o'clock.
By ten, Bobby was standing alone at the train wreck site. He felt that he was being watched so he looked around. Nothing. Suddenly a loud crash behind him. Bobby turned and saw a blood covered body had fallen from the top of the wreck.
"Help." it whispered the one word and then it's head rolled around to one side. He was dead. Bobby looked around scared.
"I'm sorry." a voice scared him. He jumped. As Bobby looked around he saw a circle looking through the window of the train. There was a bright flash. Bobby looked down to see a large gaping hole in his chest. That was the last thing he saw before he fell to the ground never to be seen again.
