It had been 3 days since Sierra had last heard from Bailey. Sierra had been in a bad mood since. "Sierra honey, why don't you come to the grocery store with me so we can shop for your 15th birthday party?" Sierra's mom said looking for her keys in a junk drawer. Sierra knew she had no choice but to go with her mom,"Yeah sure," she said getting up from the couch. "You'll have to help me find my keys though," her mom said with a chuckle. Sierra shook her head and began to look in all of the drawers. Sierra nor her mom could find them, they seemed to have disappeared. Just then Sierra got an idea, she ran to the coat closet and looked in her moms coat pockets. She dug in the left pocket with no luck. She then checked the right pocket and found them. "Got em," she said waving them in the air. "Thank goodness," her mom said laughing. The girls got into the car and headed towards the grocery store. Once they had gotten a cart and were inside they began to look for sandwich options. "How about we do ham and cheese sandwiches and turkey and cheese?" Sierra's mom asked. "Sounds good," Sierra said noodling her head. Sierra's mom ordered the sandwiches and then went to the bakery section of the store. "Pick out what kind of cake you want while I go pick up some pop," Sierra's mom said pushing the cart towards the pop aisle. Sierra flipped through the book of cake options. She decided on a chocolate cake with raspberry filling. "What'd you pick?" her mom asked coming up behind her. "Chocolate with raspberry filling," she said. "Nice choice, we have to go order it," her mom said heading towards the counter. They placed their order and went to grab some chips. "We should have at least 3 types of chips," Sierra said scanning over all of the options. She decided to get BBQ Lays Chips, Nacho Doritos, and Chili Fritos, all of which were her favorite. "Anything else you think we need? her mom asked. Sierra shook her head no and they headed towards the checkout lanes. They paid for the groceries and went out to the car. They put all of the groceries in the trunk and Sierra sat in the car with the cake on her lap. "Maybe Bailey can come help you set up the party," her mom said. "I kinda wanna do it myself," Sierra said looking out of the window. Sierra hadn't told her about the conversation and wasn't planning on it. "Oh, that's fine," she said, "have you talked to anyone on the team lately?". "No, I'm not really close with them," Sierra said. Sierra's mom pulled into the driveway. Sierra helped her carry the groceries into the house. She was sure glad that conversation was over.
