Hostile Accomodation
Silence reigned inside the green interior. Two men could be seen, one standing while the other flipped through a book. Both of them were dressed as bellboys.
The one who sat down was called Kleine, he always had a smile on his face, a curious look on his eyes, though they were always wide open yet sharp, they made anyone who came in feel uneasy as he watched them, as if he was analyzing them. His hair was short, but also a light shade of green.
In fact, this whole place was green.
The other one, Haine, had a sad expression on his face. He stood there, looking at nothing with a defeated aura, it wouldn't be wrong to say he had completely given up all hope. He had long dark green hair.
Suddenly, a jingle from the entrance could be heard, as Kleine then looked at who had entered.
"Guests." That was what he thought. And some that he had met before, though they wouldn't remember him, nobody did, nor would anyone ever be able to remember this place once they left.
Once the guest finally got close enough to the counter, Kleine then said. "Welcome to Weldline Hotel! How may I help you fill your heart?"
The first person to stand in front of him was one that he knew quite well. Not because he was acquaintanced with him, but rather, because he was one of the most common reappearing individuals when new guests came.
"Uhm, yeah hi! I'm Jaune Arc. I'm sorry to come in when I'm not asking for a room, but could you tell us where we are?" The now named Jaune Arc asked nicely.
Kleine then looked behind the boy, team RWBY and the rest of his team were there waiting for him. "I assume you got lost and asked The Bar near this place before, right?" The blonde boy then nodded.
"Then you're quite lost, there isn't really a way to go back now." Claimed the bellboy. Jaune widened his eyes, those who were behind him waiting for answers then started walking towards the desk.
Weiss specifically demanded. "What do you mean by that?! Is this a ploy into making us stay the night here?"
Kleine shook his head. "Oh, not at all, the rooms here are free, and this is exactly why." He then stood up. He then proceeded to reach out to the shelf behind him.
And proceeded to pull a lever, making it lower down as more shelves appeared and disappeared.
Nora then proceeded to open her mouth in awe at the cool looking cycling of the bookshelves.
While this went on, he decided to continue explaining. "You've entered a place where you can't go back by normal means, you see, you're no longer in your world so to speak, but fret not, time won't pass until you finally go back."
Nora then raised her hand again. "Oh! Oh! Is this some sort of thing about us being lost in a forest? But instead of a forest it's an entirely new world?" She got strange looks. "I had this one dream before! I was sent into a world where the world was made out of pancakes." She then shrugged "You'd be right." Said Kleine.
The book shelf that acted like an elevator then stopped. He then took out a book and opened it, the page that it opened to revealed an image of Jaune Arc, he then proceeded to flip through many of the pages, more and more signatures, of which Jaune was sure were exactly his own could be seen until they got a page where there was enough space for a couple more.
"In fact, this isn't the first time you've come here, you've all come here at different times of your life, be it in the future, or in the past... Which brings me to the next question, has team RWBY gone to Mount Glenn yet?" Asked Kleine.
The team nodded. "Then, have you gone and fought against Roman and White Fang?" He got another nod. "Mmm, what about the Vytal Festival, have you already participated in it?" This time he got negatives in response.
"Perfect, then, please, each one of you, write down your signature on your respective books, I'll give you the keys to your rooms." He then gave one to Jaune, who had finished writing down his signature.
To ease the tense situation, and because of the prospect of possibly not going back in a long time, Yang decided to lighten up the mood. "Hey, at least we'll be taking a break from school and all that jazz."
A few of them nodded. Once everyone finished, Kleine then gave each one of them a key. "That should be all you need to book in a room, if any of you have any questions you're welcome to ring the bell or call. Oh! And food and drink will always be available at The Bar!"
Just then, more people entered. Team RWBY and JNPR looked back as they saw the newcomers.
One of them looked at the girls with pervy eyes as he checked each one of them out, which made Yang become weary of the new guest. Kleine knew exactly who it was.
"Man, I wish Motohama and Matsuda were here with me! This place looks cool!" Yup, it was him. Issei Hyoudou. However, Kleine saw the situation a bit odd, but no matter, he would inquire about it once he got to checking from which time they were from.
Kleine saw as Rias whispered to her peerage to be wary, the only one who seemed to be brave, or perhaps foolish enough to really go around without any care was Issei.
Kleine then said the same words as before. "Welcome to Weldline Hotel! How may I help you fill your heart?"
Issei then smiled. "Hello! I got here out of nowhere while running away with my friends! I don't know how I got here or where my friends are." He said cheerfully as he decided to change his focus a bit to who he was talking with.
Ah, it seemed he was running away from the Kendo Club, but that didn't explain how the others came here as well. "Well, you're probably going to be wondering about them for quite a while, see this hotel is in... let's just say a different dimension." Kleine then side eyes Rias's Peerage, which seemed to have tensed up upon seeing his gaze.
He didn't blame them, after all, he was indeed someone quite sinister by human standards.
"Oh, oh! So like an isekai or something like that?" Asked Issei. Kleine was not sure how or if that genre was relevant during the period from which the boy came from. The bellboy then looked at the guests from remnants, who seemed to have gone to their rooms already. He then got back to the main focus. "You could say so, now, let me just..."
He then flipped the lever once again. Issei was yet another one of those guests he commonly met, however, he was a bit more varied when it came to his reactions upon coming to this place. This time, rather than being wary or surprised, he seemed excited.
"You've been here before, and so have the other guests, time in your world has stopped, and it will resume once each one of you goes back." Kleine explained. "And as for your Rias, you and your peerage need to sign here, as you will be staying as well, don't worry, your brother or anyone else you may know may come here at a later date."
The wary Rias then decided to make a move, she smiled at the receptionist. "Well, there seems to be no other choice then, very well, I'll stay in this hotel." She knew there was no other choice than to accept the hospitality of this strange hotel, she didn't know if the man was powerful or not, but she didn't want to gamble.
"Oh also, do any of you know about the name Breast Dragon Emperor?" The words that came out of Kleine were met with a few snickers from Issei, a giggle from Akeno, a look of disgust from Koneko and looks of confusion from Rias.
Seeing as the others were too stunned to speak, Kiba decided to respond. "No sir, we have not." Kleine then looked at Issei. "Then, what about you Hyoudou, does the name Ddraig or Booster Gear ring a bell to you?"
Those keywords were enough to make the others snap out of their stupor, as the insinuations seemed to point towards one single conclusion, one which Rias was quite intrigued and excited about.
Issei looked confused. "Uh, no, I've never heard about it." This actually surprised Kleine, just how far back were these guests from in their story? He decided to clear his throat. "I see, well, no matter, here is your key." He said as he handed the key room to the boy.
And once again, more guests came. This time however, Kleine started to suspect that something was awry. It was even more evident the moment he saw guests that he usually didn't meet quite often. Nonetheless, he said. "Welcome to Weldline Hotel! How may I help you fill your heart?"
"What is this place exactly?" A man dressed in a black suit said. Kleine looked at the color fixer known as Black Silence.
"Mmm, how do I put it in terms you may understand..." Kleine hummed. He knew that they would easily understand it, but he wanted to have fun with guests that didn't come here quite often. "It's a safe haven where people can stay until they find a way to go back."
Kleine then looked at the people accompanying him, Angela and the rest of the Sephirah were there with him, but as he looked at the entrance, he saw that it opened once again. This time a man with a clock for a head and a bunch of misbehaving adults came through.
"Oh my, quite a few people have come to book into the hotel this time." Commented Kleine.
Angela looked at him. "Are you perhaps a Star of the City of sorts? Something similar to The Library?" She asked.
"Ah, I'll respond after you do something real quick for me! Let me get your books, I want you to sign them so that you can get your own rooms." The bellboy explained, the keyword "books" certainly got the attention of the other Sephirah, although Netzach seemed to be gazing at the other bellboy standing who oddly had the same look as him.
Roland decided to look at the people who just joined the hall. He looked unaffected by the bunch of chaotic individuals, but he decided to comment a bit while they waited for the receptionist to get what he needed. "Oh, I was not expecting to meet another Color Fixer here."
Vergilius looked at his fellow Color Fixer. "Black Silence... this is a strange place to meet."
Don Quixote upon hearing the name of Black Silence started jumping in excitement, even using Gregor as a vaulting horse. "T-the Black Silence is here?!" Her eyes now had stars as she looked at Rodion. "Rodion! Tis place you took us to eat allowed mineself to fulfill one of mine greatest dreams!" She then scurried to try and take out one of her pins to then kneel down and say. "Sir Black Silence! Please bestow upon thy the greatest treasure one can! Your autograph!"
Roland looked a bit overwhelmed at the sudden enthusiast of this girl that he just met. Angela and Chesed smirked upon seeing this interaction. Roland then said in an attempt to divert the hyperactive kid's attention. "Uh... hey! Why don't you ask for the Red Mist's autograph first?"
Gebura took out the cigarette in her mouth. "Oi, don't throw me under the bus here Roland!" And yet, it was too late, Don Quixote moved faster than any of them could see as she was now in front of Gebura, asking for her autograph.
Kleine then cleared his throat. "Anyways, here are the books you may sign, though I may ask, what is the current threat level of The Library or are you perhaps currently in The Outskirts? And as for you bunch of misfits... the ones that aren't color coded specifically, do the words, golden apple, gamble or chicken, ring any peculiar bells?" He asked.
The first to go and pick their book to put their signature in, were Hong Lu, Don Quixote, Chesed and Hod. Roland, seeing no reason not to answer, said. "Yeah, we're currently in The Outskirts... hey, are you sure you're not by any chance some sort of new Star of the City?" He said the last part while whispering.
Kleine glanced at those who had yet to write down their names on the books. He saw as Ishmael was too busy trying to inform the others regarding The Library and what it had done, even pointing out that they were in front of people who worked there. Kleine laughed, then replied to Roland. "Oh, no, not at all, in fact I'm not in The City nor The Outskirts, I am not from your world, in fact, I am from nowhere." He explained.
Ryoshu took out the cigarette she had. "B.S." She said. Healthcliff then said. "Uh, I got that one... but yeah, that's some load of bullshit there."
Kleine then refuted. "Well, you may say whatever you want, but you're staying here whether you like or n-" He was cut mid sentence as Ryoshu slashed against him.
However, the sinners looked at their side, only to see Netzach covered in blood as the bellboy that stood there had his head cut off.
"Oh my, poor Haine continues to suffer." Said Kleine, however, he didn't say this with sympathy or pity, but instead with delight. "Let me show you something... something that may be familiar to all of you from Limbus Company."
He snapped his finger, Haine's blood then started to return back to his body, the blood staining Netzach slowly but surely made its way into the bellboy, once it all went back, his head then attached itself, the flesh fixing itself as it left no cut or marks from where he was decapitated.
Sinclair stuttered. "T-that's the same power as Dante... right?" Kleine then looked at the feminine boy. "It looks the same, but in my case, I use Haine as the vessel for any damage done to me, and in return I can turn back time to before he died."
Ryoshu made an audible "tsk", and in the end she reluctantly signed the book at the orders of the others, particularly Vergilius.
Kleine then looked at the group as they went to their designated rooms. "They are far more quiet compared to previous times, don't you think Haine?" He asked, and yet, he was met with silence.
"Haine." He said sternly. The bellboy that stood finally spoke. "I don't think it will be the same as that time where they left without talking to us much, or that time they never tried opening a door that wasn't designated to them, but they are much more reserved compared to previous times."
"Well, I don't blame them, they stumbled upon a hotel where the receptionist claims to be from nowhere." Kleine commented. "I'm excited though, usually it's this sort of people that end up breaking down the hardest." He smiled in delight.
He hoped for more people to come later, right now though, it seemed to be a decent amount.
All that needed to happen now was for one of them to open an unassigned room, that way they'll give him some great enjoyment.
He squealed. "Oh! I can't wait for them to find out about the dimensions inside each door!" He then stood up. "Haine, I want you to take care as the receptionist while I go to my room to watch them through the cameras!"
He left sprinting, Haine then sat down on the receptionist desk. Then, the door opened again.
(A/N)
I am so going to regret even starting this fic, but yup, I did it, I ended up writing a Reaction Fic that's also a Crossover.
Before I say anything else. Regarding how the reactions will be.
The reactions will come with a title, followed with the name of the character they will be reacting to.
I will be using my own fics in the future probably, but right now, I will be simply using some one shots or unfinished ideas that I really don't want to develop more until the future for this fic.
Most of which is basically having characters get into the Project Moon verse, or have PM elements into their worlds, it won't always be that though.
If I end up remaking any scene but with different characters, let's say, Jaune as Roland getting a realization, then I am 100% rewriting the dialogue and adding differences to the original story, this is so that it's more original and to make sure it isn't a complete copy and paste.
Haine & Kleine are both characters from Niru Kajitsu's song with the same name. I decided to use the characters and the setting for this fic as it was literally the idea that bloomed this sort of reaction fic.
I truly want to try and add a different form of writing fanfics, the sort where a god takes them and poofs them into a room seems a bit underwhelming when you start reading too many react fics. Rather than forcing them to watch and react, I want them to do so out of their own volition.
Will I take requests? Probably not, but if you add reviews, I might read them and might end up writing stuff about them.
I will be putting a list of the series included at the end of each chapter just to keep a tally, for both you and I.
If the characters seem OOC or don't talk much, sorry about that, this is sort of practice for future projects in a way.
Do note that if a character that usually talks doesn't (Mostly just Nora and Don tbh), that is either because they are doing something else, or their dialogue was omitted due to it not being relevant.
Regarding DxD, this one is going to be tricky, out of the current series I've added, it's the one that I remember the least, but wow do I have a lot regarding it, or more specifically, Issei.
Anyways, what's important in this fic is the fact that I am adding an overarching plot that will not be included in interludes, but rather, will be mixed into the reactions themselves so that it doesn't feel like filler chapters, it will not disappoint those that do not care about the plot and just want to see characters react to one another when a new chapter comes.
Even so, the subplot won't always be there, it will push a bit of story, but it won't always appear.
That should be all, I'll see y'all, next update
