Those words kept repeating themselves over and over again in Amiya and Rhodes Island minds.

'Who the hell are you?'

"Do-Doktah!" Amiya nervously chuckled. "This is not the time for jokes! It' me! Amiya!"

"And that's Ace!"

She pointed at Ace.

"You know us!" She shouted. "You already met Scout!"

"...Again."

(M/N) repeated.

Who the fuck are you?"

It soon became apparent that he wasn't joking.

"You...really don't remember us?" Ace slowly said. "But then...how do you remember Scout?"

"He doesn't." Said man answered. "From the looks of it, he's suffering from amnesia."

"I mean take a look at him."

He pointed to the male.

"He's different now. Stronger and healthier than he was before."

And wasn't that the truth?

Now that they have taken a closer look. He was indeed different than what they remembered.

"Wha-What happened?"

Amiya quietly said, her ears flopping down.

"Seems like he's been out longer than we thought." Dobermann theorized. "Perhaps, his early awakening has something to do with his amnesia?"

'Doubtful.' Ines thought to herself. 'The way he conducts himself is too normal to be someone suffering from amnesia.'

The mercenary knew there was more to it than that. But it was not wise to talk about such things with Reunion right there.

Speaking of which...

"Oi!" Mephisto shouted. Annoyed at being ignored. "Have you forgotten where you are?!"

"Turning your back on your enemy is a bad idea!"

*Bang*

*Schwing*

!?

(M/N) effortlessly repelled the bolt away without even looking.

"Wha?" "How did?" "Since when could he?" "He didn't flinch!"

"Doktah...?"

Amiya stared in shock.

"Hmph!"

(M/N) scoffed as he turned to a stunned Mephisto who was looking at him in shock and slight fear.

'I thought the screams of despair were from them.' He thought to himself. 'But no, it's coming from him.'

Piercing behind the layers of madness, he could sense it. A child that wanted to be free from his past.

'The pain he's unleashing, is pain he wants others to feel.'

(M/N) thought to himself.

"Kid." He spoke to him. "What is your name?"

"Hah!?" Mephisto shouted in shock. "What the hell? Why on earth do you want to know the name of your enemy?! I'm trying to kill you here, you know?!"

"(M/N)."

Was all (M/N) said.

"...Huh?"

Mephisto was confused.

"My name."

(M/N) simply said.

"...It's not Doctor?" He asked.

"Not a doctor." (M/N) groaned. "Why does everyone insist that I am one? Do I look like a Doctor to you?"

"...No." Mephisto admitted. "You're more of a warrior than a doctor."

"Doktah?!"

Amiya shouted in shock as she and Rhodes Island watched in horror.

"Now."

*BLARE*

A burst of power exuded from him, startling everyone around him.

"Name?"

"...Mephisto."

The boy reluctantly said.

"Not a bad name." (M/N) nodded. "And your friend hiding in that building."

'He can see me/him!?'

The sniper and Mephisto thought in shock as (M/N) winked at the sniper.

Shaking, Mephisto opened his mouth.

"Faust."

(M/N) hummed.

"Tell me, Mephisto."

The air grew tense.

"Why wage such useless conflict?"

"They must pay!" Mephisto shouted. "Those wretched non-infected must pay for how they have treated the Infected!"

"They alienated us just because we were cursed with Oripathy! We never asked for it and yet they treated as scums of society because of it!"

"They have cruelly used us for their own gains!"

He shouted.

"Yeah!" A Reunion Member shouted. "That's right!"

"They are unforgivable!" "My family is gone because of them!" "Death to those bastards!"

The fervor that Reunion was experiencing sent shock waves towards Rhodes Island.

"...Reunion."

Amiya said sadly.

"I wonder." (M/N) crossed his arms, silencing the shouts. "Is this coming from an Infected scorned?"

"Or is this coming from the one who wishes to be free from his past?"

"...Faust." Mephisto slowly said. "Take him out."

*Bant* *Bang* *Bang*

Faust sent several bolts straight at him.

"DOCTOR!!"

Rhodes Island shouted in fear.

...Clik!

SWING!

Only for (M/N) to effortlessly repelled the bullets once more.

!?

The spectators could only watch as (M/N) gracefully dodged and deflected the attacks coming at him from all ends.

"Su-Such power!"

The RI Medic shouted in shock.

"Wh-When could he do that?!"

Amiya was in shock.

The person they were supposed to be rescuing was doing the rescuing! Not even flinching or hesitating as he defended at insane speeds.

"Too slow."

(M/N) sighed.

*RUMBLE*

"Hm?"

(M/N) took a look at the sky.

"What's going on now?"

Following his gaze, they saw that the skies had turned dark.

"It's here!" A RM shouted in excitement. "The Catastrophe has finally arrived."

Roars of happiness could be heard as Reunion cheered in joy.

"Catastrophe?"

(M/N) frowned.

He did not like that.

"What does that mean?"

'Nothing good, I can tell you that.'

Mata nui said.

"Oh no!"

Amiya shouted.

"Everyone! Take cover!"

*BOOM!*

Soon all of Chernobog was enveloped in destruction.

"Yes!" A RM screamed. "Destroy all!"

"Dee-Urhg!"

Soon RM members scattered as they realized that they too were caught in it as well.

"Hey! Move it!" "Out of the way!" "It hurt!"

"Reunion really is full of fools."

Dobermann sighed.

"Wait." She suddenly realized.

"Where is the Doctor!?"

"Oh no!"

Nearl shouted as she saw that (M/N) had not moved from his place.

"DOCTOR!!" "RUN!" "NO!!"

"I have too!"

Amiya tried to get off.

"No!"

Only for Ace to hold her back.

"It's too dangerous!" He warned. "You'll get killed!"

"But the Doctor!" Amiya tried to protest. "We can't let him die!"

"He won't die." Ines scoffed, gaining looks at that. "I don't know your relations with him, but that man."

"He's more dangerous than the Catastrophe themselves."

What did that mean.

*HUM*

A flare of energy emitting from (M/N) as he stared, unimpressed at the falling originium heading towards them.

A massive chunk of it head towards his direction.

"A storm of destruction." (M/N) muttered to himself. "Interesting."

*Hum*

Energy started welling to his hand, as he moved it towards the Catastrophe.

'Yet, in the end, it pales in comparison to our power.'

Ignika confidently said.

*BOOM*

(M/N) released the power from his hands and watched as it flew directly at the heart of the Catastrophe.

"Fool!" Mephisto shouted. "Do you honestly think-!?"

*BAM*

!?

His words were cut off as the moment the blast hit the Catastrophe. A chain reaction began occurring.

"What?"

Was all he (and really anyone else) could say as the Catastrophe began glowing.

*FLASH*

And disappeared in a beautiful golden glow.

The skies were free to loom over them now that the Catastrophe was gone.

"I-I...I...I."

Amiya kept repeating over and over again.

What the fuck just happened?!

"What the...I thought he was just a doctor!"

Mephisto shouted in fear and awe.

The same thing was running through everyone minds.

How did he do the impossible and stopped a Catastrophe!?

*BAM*

The large chunk of Originium landed right next to (M/N).

(M/N) turned his head and stared impassively at the massive slab of Originium.

"Doktah!" Amiya shouted. "Doktah! Run!"

(M/N) just stared for a moment before turning his head and slowly walking away.

"Let's go."

(M/N) said as he calmly walked past them.

"Wha? Doktah! Wait!"

Amiya shouted as she and the rest of Rhodes Island went after him.

As for Reunion.

"I'm sorry, Mephisto." Faust said. "I failed."

(Faust)

"It's fine, Faust." Mephisto simply said. "We've done our part and we'll leave the rest to Talulah and the others."

"Okay...are you fine though?"

Faust asked his old friend.

"...No."

Mephisto truthfully said.

"His words...struck a chord."

Sighing, Mephisto just stared walking off somewhere with Faust right behind him.

Troubled by (M/N) words.

'Is that my end goal really is all about?' Mephisto thought to himself. 'To be free?'

"...Mephisto."

Faust sadly looked at his old friend.

-Rhodes Island-

"Doctor, wait!"

Amiya shouted.

(M/N) ignoring hers and RI shouts as he just walked.

*SLICE*

And killed any Reunion Soldier stupid enough to pick a fight with him.

Smart RM: O_O

"AHHH!!!!"

The smart ones screamed as they ran for their lives.

"..."

RI and Ines just stared in morbid fascination at how cold and efficient he was.

"Pathetic fools." (M/N) coldly scoffed. "What do they know about suffering?"

His cold words sent shivers down their spines.

Whatever happened between his release and their eventually meeting, had made him unsympathetic to the Infected plight.

...Ignorant of the truth of the matter being that: They were idiots, plain and simple.

And of the fact that there are worse ways to suffer.

"Hmm?" (M/N) stopped as he looked at a building. "Azazel clinic?"

!?

"Oh!" Amiya shouted in shock. "This is!"

"What is this place?"

(M/N) asked.

"A clinic that treated the Infected only." Amiya explained. "You might not remember this because of your amnesia ((M/N): *Groan*) but the Infected...are not treated kindly."

Here, she sighed.

"Because of how dangerous and fatal Oripathy is, the Infected have been treated horribly." She sighed. "And those that try to help them are scorned and treated with disdain. Azazel clinic is actually a black market clincic to avoid scrutiny by the public."

"Those idiots." A RI guard grumbled. "Even with all their connections they still refused to help! Not even a little bit! This is their own comeuppance!"

It was obvious that he didn't like them that much.

"We can't blame them." Amiya sighed. "Even though their attitudes were harst, it's understandable that they would refuse our help."

"Oh?" (M/N) crossed his arms in interest. "Explain."

"Oripathy." Amiya sighed. "It can grant us incredible power, but in exchange our lives are shortly greatly. Not only that, but the disease does not die when the Infected dies. No, when they die, their bodies are crystallized and eventually explode. Releasing Originium into the air and contaminating the surrounding area."

"Not only that but trust even among Infected is rare. They will do anything to try to better their situation. I can't blame them for their reaction."

"..."

(M/N) was deep in thought over that.

"Places like Azazel clinic and Rhodes Island are some of the places that can grant them a semblance of peace." Amiya explained. "I guess that they rejected Reunion as well and paid the price for it."

"Boss..."

The Guard quietly said.

"They made their bed."

(M/N) waved them off.

"They can lie in it and die."

His words, so cold and unfeeling for the Infected sent chills down their spines.

Even when he was still in Rhodes Island, he wasn't that cruel. Sure he treated Operators like pawns on a chessboard. But he worked diligently on finding a cure for the Infected.

The person they see before them did not feel even the hintest of sympathy for the Infected plight.

'...It's not that he doesn't care.' Ines realized. 'It's more that he's apathetic to them!'

Truly, (M/N) was a conundrum that could not be figured out.

He can show compassion, but at the same time slaughter his enemies without a hint of regret.

Truly, someone that you don't want to make an enemy out of.

"Let's go."

(M/N) started walking off.

"There's nothing you can do for them. All we can do now is get out of here."

"Can't argue with that."

Scout nodded as he followed him.

"...Amiya."

Dobermann quietly said.

"I'm starting to think this was a bad decision."

"Have faith, Dobermann." Amiya softly said. "The Doctor isn't all that bad."

"Is he really the Doctor, though?"

Ace frowned.

"He looks like him sure, but his appearance and personality has drastically changed."

'And I'm not sure if it's for the better or for worse.'

Ace thought to himself.

Shaking his head as they continued walking forward.

-Mephisto-

"Judging from the area they left, they should heading towards your location soon."

Mephisto spoke through a communicator.

"..."

"No." Mephisto shook his head. "It's too dangerous for me to send Faust. That man they call 'Doctor', he's no ordinary person for sure."

"..."

"He..." Here Mephisto hesitated. "He was the one that stopped the Catastrophe."

"!!?"

"Yes." Mephisto nodded, even though she couldn't see it. "It shocked me too, but I was there. I saw it. As did Faust and the others."

"..."

"Roger."

Mephisto hanged up the call as he looked at Faust.

"Let's go."

"Alright."

-RI-

"AHH!" "Run!"

"Die! Chernobog bastards!"

A RM shouted in anger as he approached several helpless citizens.

"It's because of you that we've become like this!"

"GET LOST!"

Dobermann shouted as she brutally landed a kick to the RM face.

*SLAM* *CRACK*

Killing him as his neck broke instantly.

"There's no end to them!"

Nearl shouted as she engaged several RM at once.

"Away!"

Amiya blasted several Reunion Soldiers with her Arts.

*BAM* *BANG*

Several of the more normal RI Operators shot at them.

*WHOOSH*

"Stand still!"

A RS Brute roared as he tried to strike at (M/N).

"..."

Who boredly dodged each and every one of his incredibly sloppy strikes.

"Too slow." He said.

*Swish*

"Not even close."

*Swash*

"Over here."

*SLAM*

"Missed!"

(M/N) calmly said as the RS Brute could not land even a hit on him.

"Argh!" The man roared. "You!"

*SLICE*

!!

"N-Noooo..." The RS Brute cried out. "I don't want to die...not he...re."

Was the last thing he said as he was split in two.

*GASP*

Reunion trembled at how easily he killed him, despite the RS modified armor.

"...Who's next?"

(M/N) narrowed his eyes at them as he glanced over his shoulder.

"I can make this quick, or we can draw it out."

Trembling with rage, a RM charged at him.

"Bastard!" He roared with fury in his eyes. "Die like the scum you are!"

That seemed to get his fellow RM in a frenzy as they all charged at him.

"YAAAAAHHHH!!"

Their battle cry did not faze him in the slightest.

"Death it is."

Switching his sword into two more...dangerous weapons.

-From a distance-

"So..." A taller woman looked at the scene. "That is the Rhodes island I have been hearing so much about? ...Heh, how heroic."

"Wouldn't you say, Crownslayer?"

She turned to her companion.

(Crownslayer)

"..."

Was all the red head said.

"Well..." Talulah shook her head. "It's time."

"Time to meet the man that stopped a Catastrophe."

-Back on the ground-

"AGGHHH!!"

A Reunion Soldier fell to the ground as his lower body was cut cleanly from the rest.

"Bastard!"

Another RM shouted as she charged at (M/N) with intent to kill.

"...Good grief."

(M/N) sighed.

"These people are so annoying."

Putting the ends of the two sickles, he connected them and stretched them out.

Revealing that the sickles were now attached to a staff.

"Fools who do not fear Death." His voice suddenly got distorted as a menacing phantom appeared behind him. Shall soon learn who decides their fates!!"

(Lobo)

(Stupid sexy wolf. Making me remember my teenage years when I was curious about how a relationship with a werewolf would be like. Can't help but feel embarrassed remembering that...well, it's not as bad as certain other pairings I supposed. Got to hand it to Dreamworks. They know how to make a badass character that can make people swoon and fear at the same time)

(But yeah, we're using his weapons to beat down some fools)

With insane speed, he suddenly appeared right in front of the RM.

"What!?"

*SLICE*

Was all she could say as (M/N) killed her.

"ARGGH!!"

Soon more RS came out of him.

"Hmph!" (M/N) glared at them. "I'm starting to understand Lobo now. Fools who disregard their lives don't deserve to live."

Spinning the Sickle staff he unleashed a flurry of strikes against them.

"AHH!!" "RGH!" AGH!"

Striking them down with no mercy.

...Well, a little bit of mercy. The moment the blades touched them they were already dead.

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!"

Lobo shouted, (M/N) switching with him so that he could let loose.

With Ines.

"How pitiful."

Ines sighed as she took down some RM members with ease.

"Traitor!"

One shouted at her.

"Traitor?" Ines gave them a look. "Funny, that should be my line since one of your men backstabbed me!"

!!

"And that is most definitely a breach of contract!"

*Splash*

With that said, the RM fell to the ground. Half his head cut off as his brain and blood spill to the ground.

"Everyone!" Ace yelled. "Fall back!"

RI operators quickly regrouped as (M/N) and Ines continued massacring Reunion soldiers.

"That was meant for you two as well!"

Ace shouted in disbelief.

"Whatever."

(M/N)/Lobo boredly jumped away.

"Fine."

Ines grumbled.

"What's wrong?"

Scout asked.

"I didn't realize until now." Ace frowned. "But we've been too lax! Look!"

He started pointing around them.

"While we've been fighting. More and more Reunion soldiers have been forming a blockade. We're surrounded."

!?

"Is that why they weren't that about their men dying by the Catastrophe?"

Dobermann frowned.

"...Even with all of the ones I killed the moment they started attacking?"

(M/N) was impressed, if a little bit disturbs at how easily they used them as disposable pawns.

Lobo wasn't amused.

Unaware of the looks of horror on Rhodes Island faces at what he just said.

"Tch!" Nearl growled. "There's too many of them surrounding the plaza! We won't be to get out of this without a fight!"

"Stay in defensive formation then." (M/N) ordered, startling them. "If we're in for a fight, then we better not give them any blind spots to exploit."

...That sounded like the Doctor they remembered.

"(M/N)!" Ines shouted. "She's here!"

???

Who was she talking about?

"I see." (M/N) eyes narrowed, back in control. "So, we're finally going to meet her..."

*Step* *Step*

Footsteps could be heard as a lone figure slowly walked towards them.

"An envoy?" The RI Guard narrowed his eyes. "No, doesn't look it."

!?

"Wait..." Amiya eyes widened. "That woman, according to our intel, she's..."

"Her scent..."

Nearl frowned.

"Nearl?"

Dobermann turned to her.

As Talulah stopped walking.

'...There's no doubt.' Ines thought to herself. 'Talulah is not in complete control of her actions!'

'Who is this ghost that possesses her?'

(M/N) frowned.

'Questions, questions my dear counterpart.' Lobo, the embodiment of Death spoke to the embodiment of Life. 'Simply put, a soul that has no business staying in the world of the living and wreaking havoc for his insane ideals/ambitions.'

"No doubt about it." Nearl confirmed. "Steel and sulfar. The smell of something burning."

"Fire of a level unheard...which can only mean she's..."

"...All Operators." Amiya spoke up. "Be on maximum alert."

"...That person is..."

"Reunion's Ruler..."

Dobermann slowly spoke up.

"...Talulah."

(Talulah)

Amiya finished.

*BAM* *CRACKLE* *CRASH*

The area started heating up.

"I reckon..." Nearl eyes hardened. "That her flames are powerful enough to swallow Terra entirely."

"..."

'...Never thought the devil could be this cute.'

(M/N) thought as he stared at Talulah.

"Wha-WHAT!?"

Talulah shouted as her stoic face turned red with embarrassment.

"CU-CUTE!?"

She screamed.

???

"Did...I say that out loud?"

(M/N) slowly asked.

"YES, YOU DID!"

Both Rhodes Island and Reunion shouted.

Looks of disbelief, embarrassment, and jealously could be seen on their faces as Talulah looked like she was about to have a nuclear meltdown.

Mata Nui, Lobo, and Ignika were laughing their asses off at how blunt and nonchalant he was.

'Oh, chico!' Lobo laughed. 'You really do need to watch what you say.'

"...Oh."

Was all (M/N) could say.

"You." Talulah was so embarrassed that she had unknowingly broke off Kaschey control temporarily. "You..."

???

"Y...Y...YOU BAKA!!"

*SMACK!*

A loud sound filled the now quiet plaza after that yell.

And done!

Well, that was unexpected.

Not even I expected that was how I was going to end the chapter.

Oh, well.

So, we finally meet Talulah...and embarrassed her so greatly that now she's going to have a bone to pick with us.

Destroyed a Catastrophe like it was another day in the office.

Are friends with Lobo and can use his weapons.

(P.S. Lobo likes hanging out in his shadow. So, expect him to be popping every once and a while in the story.)

Now what happens next?

Who knows? Even I need to figure out what the heck I just wrote here.

That's going to be an interesting thing to see in the Multiverse book later when I put it there.
