No, the picture has no relevance to the story. This book is also connected to my Multiverse book, and in there he's still male. I'm not going to be genderbending every single character, especially those that are connected to my other books.

Just thought I put this in as more proof that nothing is safe from Rule 34. Think I've even seen a picture of what's his name (the dude possessing Talulah) genderbent. And because it actually looks nice.

Idon't know why, but I have the strangest feeling that if Mephisto was female and she saw the Male Reader. She would probably be as possessive/yandere of him like with fem!Faust.

And that scenario is making me laugh.

(M/N) meets a few certain people and finally meets RI in the end of the chapter.

The streets were filled with the screams of terror.

Though not from the party you would be thinking.

"AHH!"

The last one was literally cut into pieces as his comrades stared in pure horror.

"Wha-WHAT IS HE!?"

A Reunion Member shouted in pure, unadulterated fear.

'How did it come to this!?'

Was the thought running through her head.

When their leaders made the plan to take Chernobog it was supposed to be simple!

Raise hell on the oppressors and teach them how it feels to be oppressed!

Kill, steal, destroy!

It was a marvelous plan that had taken them months to prepare and infiltrate the city as part of it.

And now...after waiting for so long. Their time has come!

SCHWING!

Or it would have been...if not for this lone swordsman!

"How the hell is one person taking us out so easily!?"

Another Reunion Member shouted in anger.

His comrades all on the ground, dead.

Glaring angrily at the man behind the slaughter.

"How dare you interfere!?"

He yelled at him.

"..."

(M/N) just gave him an unimpressed look that spoke volumes.

"Why should I waste my speaking to insects?"

"WHAT!?"

The man anger grew at how insignificant the man found them to be.

"How dare-!?"

"Omae wa mou shindeiru."

Was all (M/N) said as he suddenly appeared behind him.

"NANI!?"

The man shouted in shock as his body suddenly started contorting in pain.

"AH...ARGH!"

He screamed in pain as his body started twisting, and bulging.

BURST!

Until his head popped of and exploded like the rest of his body.

"..."

Thud!

The female RM fell to the ground in shock as she stared at him with fear in her eyes.

Even though he couldn't see it with the mask on, he could sense.

"...You have two choices."

(M/N) coldly offer.

"1) You can either leave here alive and forget about ever trying to harm others. Or 2) I kill you here and now."

"Make your choice."

"..."

Rustle!

The woman ran as far as she could.

Fuck Reunion!

If being a part of the movement meant having to fight against monsters like him. She'd rather live the reminder of her life in solitude!

Clink!

(M/N) sheathed his sword as he continued walking.

'I'm surprised you let her go.'

Mata Nui spoke up.

"Contrary to popular belief." (M/N) started. "I don't need to be killing ever single person that crosses my path."

"Too much of a hassle."

'Of course.'

Mata Nui rolled his eyes.

"That aside, where did I wander off to now?"

(M/N) looked around at the desolated area.

Signs of battle were obvious.

"What do they hope to achieve by causing such senseless destruction?"

(M/N) frowned.

He didn't know why, but the sight of such senseless death bothered him.

Why though? Was it because he's the Toa of Life? Because he felt some remorse for his own actions of senseless killing?

'Well, whatever the case I still have my own things to deal with.'

He decided as he continued walking.

'(M/N)!' Ignika shouted. 'Over there!'

'Huh?'

Was his response as he looked over to where the Ignika was telling him to.

And found an unconscious woman, bleeding out.

"The hell?" (M/N) walked over to her. "This looks like a stab wound."

Frowning, (M/N) gave her a look over.

It didn't seem that there were any other noticeable wounds on her which was a good thing.

"..."

(M/N) was at a crossroad.

Should he save her? Or should he leave?

'This world is more messed up than I thought it would be.' He thought to himself. 'Maybe it's better I put her out of her misery.'

'OR.' Mata Nui spoke up. 'You can use her as a guide.'

'I mean, we don't know much of this world. And it would be a hassle having to deal with local law enforcement for something we have unknowingly done.'

...That was a good point.

Better to have someone guiding them, than having to deal with minor annoyances.

"All right."

Hum!

Flash!

(M/N) healed the woman back to health.

"Unh..." The woman groaned. "Wha...?"

"Hey you!" (M/N) said. "You're finally awake?"

"W...ho..." She tried to talk only to hack up some blood.

"Easy there." (M/N) said. "You were almost dead when I got here."

"..."

The woman said nothing as she remembered what had happened.

That accursed Reunion Soldier had tried to kill her!

Grunting, she got up on her feet.

"Oi!" (M/N) shouted annoyed. "I just healed you and you're already trying to get yourself injured again?"

"...You have my gratitude." The woman slowly started walking. "But there is something I need to do!"

Grab!

"Huh!?" The woman shouted as she found herself sitting on a rock.

"The only thing you need to do is help me."

(M/N) twitched.

"I didn't help you just so you could leave!"

"...Help you how?"

The woman cautiously asked.

Did he mean in that way?

'Well...' She gave him a look over. 'He's definitely not your average joe, that's for sure.'

The male was muscular, but not to the point that it looked disgusting. His features definitely told her that he wasn't a local.

There was a look in his eyes. The look of a warrior who has seen much bloodshed and fought many battles.

"Let's get to the point." (M/N) ignored the beautiful woman analyzing stare. "I need a guide."

"Say what now?" Was all she could say.

That was it?

"Yeeeaaah." (M/N) rubbed the back of his head. "I'm not from around here."

"Yeah, like a million of universes not from around here."

Mata Nui and Ignika deadpanned.

'You two, shut up!'

He mentally shouted at them.

"...Okay."

Was all she said.

'It might be better this way.' She thought to herself. 'I need to see just how dangerous this man is.'

What? Just because she's grateful he saved her doesn't mean she trusts him.

Her life as a mercenary taught her to always treat unknown individuals with a healthy dose of suspicion.

"Then let's go."

(M/N) said as they started walking back into the city.

"By the way." He added. "Name (M/N). You?"

"Oh."

The woman looked at him.

(Ines)

"It's Ines."

-RI-

To say things were going great for Rhodes Island would be a lie.

First the Doctor was gone from his room with only his clothes left behind.

The implications were disturbing.

Now they had to deal with Reunion uprising and try to stay alive.

BAM!

"AGH!"

A Reunion grunt screamed as he was beaten quite thoroughly.

"I don't understand!" Another RM said out loud. "Why would you fight against your brethren?!"

"The non-Infected are the real enemies!"

Wham!

"Ack!"

The RM shouted as he was knocked unconscious by Dobermann.

"How annoying!"

Dobermann shouted.

"What is going on here?" Amiya shook her head. "This is too bold, even for Reunion."

"Amiya!"

A loud voice got their attention as a new figure made it to them.

"Ace!"

Amiya shouted, happy to see the veteran Operator.

(Ace)

"Good, you're okay!"

Ace said, turning his head to greet the Doctor that was SUPPOSED to be there.

Only to see the same group that went in, but apparently didn't have any new additions after coming out.

"...Amiya." Ace calmly said, though his eyes were panicking. Not that it could be seen behind his sunglasses. "Where is the Doctor?"

...

Here, Amiya ears flopped down sadly.

"The Doktah...he wasn't there."

She said.

"WHAT?"

Ace stared at her in disbelief.

"How?"

He asked.

The Doctor location should have been top secret! How was he missing?!

"The details are sketchy." Dobermann reported. "Someone might have somehow found him and took him. The only thing we found were his coat and visor."

"What...?"

Ace looked at her, flabbergasted.

"You can't be serious."

He deadpanned.

"Have you ever known me to joke in a situation like this, Ace?"

Dobermann deadpanned as well.

"...True."

BOOM!

A loud explosion caught their attention.

"I suggest we get to somewhere safe to talk about our next plan of attack."

The medic spoke up.

"Good idea."

The guard agreed as everyone started heading towards a safehouse.

-Back with our protagonist-

"I see."

(M/N) frowned.

He had just finished 'interrogating' Ines for information about the world he was on.

'Terra. Infected. Reunion. Oripathy.'

What an interesting situation he found himself in.

Simply put, he said that he was from very far away and had never heard of what's been going on in the outside world.

A simple lie, but one that was very effective.

"That's about the gist of it."

Ines simply said.

"..."

"..."

The two continued walking in silence.

"...I'm surprised that no one is coming after us."

(M/N) offhandedly said.

"Perhaps they have no need to linger in this part of Chernobog."

Ines suggested.

Hey, worked for her if they didn't run into any Reunion presence.

She was still pissed at scumbag double crossing her and will not hesitate to hunt the piece of shit down and kill him.

(Too late, Hoederer already killed him)

Thud!

"Hm?"

(M/N) looked down to see a body.

"Oh..."

Ines realized the dead man.

"That's a Rhodes Island Operator."

"The pharmaceutical company?"

(M/N) remembered her mentioning something like that.

"Yeah." Ines nodded. "Word is that they are devoted to researching for a cure against Oripathy and strive to give equal rights to the Infected."

"Of course, the people they recruit are not always your everyday schmuck on the streets." She added. "There are rumors of them having their own personal army."

"Isn't that the norm?" (M/N) raised an eyebrow. "Have your own personal security?"

"...Eh."

Ines shrugged at that.

He had a good point.

"Anyways, about him."

(M/N) pointed to the dead man.

"We fought." Ines explained. "And he tricked me into using my Arts on Talulah, the leader of Reunion."

She clarified at (M/N) confused expression.

"Which...I do owe him one I suppose." She admitted. "My arts allow me to 'see' shadows in a way that it'll be like seeing into their souls."

"...And I noticed there were TWO shadows residing in her."

!!!

(M/N) eyes narrowed at the implication of her words.

"Meaning?"

"Meaning that there are two souls inside her." She said. "One that is hers, and the second is an invasive parasite that is controlling her."

"...Then is it possible that her actions are not truly her own?"

(M/N) asked.

Here, Ines hesitated.

Because if it's true that Talulah was being possessed. Then that means that the war was not entirely of her own doing.

"I think your face says it all."

(M/N) calmly said as he kneeled down to the dead body.

"He's dead." Ines sighed. "Hoederer killed when he tried to escape after distracting me."

"Well...good thing I can undead him."

"...What."

Ines gave him a flat look at his lame pun.

"Hold on a second."

HUM!

SLAM!

"GAH!"

The RI Operator shouted in pain as he was brought back to life.

"What the hell!?"

He screamed as Ines gave a look of shock.

'He can revive the dead!?'

She thought to herself.

Where the hell has he been that no one knew of his power!?

"There we go, good as new!"

(M/N) wiped his hands off the imaginary dust.

!?

"That voice!"

The man groaned as he got up.

(Scout)

"Doctor!?"

Scout shouted as he saw the Doctor.

It might have been a long time since their last meeting and the Doctor might not like removing his helmet. But he recognized the man and his voice!

"Is it really you, Doctor!?"

"...Who?"

(M/N) looked at him as though he was crazy.

"My name is (M/N), not Doctor."

"(M/N)!?" Scout shouted in shock. "You're using your real name?"

"What are you on about?"

(M/N) gave him an annoyed look.

"And how the hell do you even know me?"

Though he had a funny feeling he knew what was going on.

'Seems like you have a counterpart in this world.'

Ignika mused.

'Or had, is perhaps the better word.'

Mata Nui corrected the Ignika.

(M/N) face on the outside was expressionless.

But on the inside, cogs were turning as he had a revelation.

This man knew him, even though it should have been impossible. That meant that there was a 'him' in this world.

Was being the key word.

Soon answers started popping up as he realized what was going on.

He had merged with his counterpart that belonged to this world!

'But how?' He thought to himself. 'The only way that should have been possible is if...oh.'

Is if his counterpart was already dead or on the brink of death.

'Is that why I woke up in this world?' He thought to himself. 'Because my counterpart was dying and in his dying breath wished that someone could help this world?

It was a possibility.

Wishes were not something to be underestimated, especially to those well versed in the affairs of magic.

So, that meant that (M/N) had merged with his counterpart with him obviously being the dominant host and the counterpart simply merging and becoming one with him.

"Doctor?" Scout asked. "Are you okay?"

Why was he acting like this?

Sure, they hadn't seen each other for a long time. But that didn't warrant such confusion.

But...wait.

Scout suddenly realized something.

(M/N) features were a lot more different than he remembered.

Last he checked; the Doctor wasn't really that much of a fighter. His hair and eyes looked different. It wasn't grey/white anymore and his complexion was very different. Healthier in a way that spoke of someone staying in good health and being in the sun.

'Did wake up earlier than we realized and has been out for a while now?'

Scout thought to himself.

'But if that's the case, why doesn't he recognize me?'

After the hell they had gone through together at Babel. He knew the Doctor wasn't one to easily forget those that he didn't keep at a distance.

"I thought you said you were not from around here?"

Ines voice startled him out of his thoughts and refocusing his attention on her.

"You!"

Scout shouted as he got into a defensive position.

"Calm down." Ines sighed. "Unlike my partner, I'm not going to kill you after what has happened."

"Besides, Reunion betrayed me the moment they literally stabbed me."

!!

"So." Scout laughed. "Reunion really is the scum of the earth with how they treat their mercenaries."

"Fine." He eased up. "You have no beef with me and neither do I have any with you."

'But I'm going to have to ask you to give me the Doctor."

"I'm not a Doctor." (M/N) twitched.

"...Amnesia?"

Scout muttered to himself.

"Would explain his reactions."

(M/N) sighed and open his mouth to speak.

BOOM!

Only to be interrupted by a loud noise from a distance.

"We'll talk about this later!" (M/N) decided, grabbing the two and preparing to jump. "For now, we have bigger things to worry about!"

"Wait! What are You-AHAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!"

The two screamed as (M/N) jumped into the air.

Anyone that could hear the screams were wondering who the hell was screaming that loud.

-Rhodes Island-

"Damn it!"

A blonde-haired Knight swore as she desperately tried to block attacks from an unseen target.

(Nearl)

"Yes! That's it, Faust!" A grey haired, yellow/green(?) eyed boy shouted in glee. "Kill them all!"

(Mephisto)

BANG! BANG!

"Nearl!"

Amiya shouted as the Kuranta guarded herself against the attacks.

"Ngh!" Nearl grunted. "This sniper is everywhere!"

"Yes, that's it. DANCE!"

Mephisto shouted gleefully.

"Dance, you fools dance!"

"Damn that bastard!"

Dobermann snarled.

"Snipers in the buildings, melees up front." Ace gritted his teeth. "And here we are stuck in the middle. Even with Nearl help we're boxed in!"

"There's gotta be something we can do!"

Amiya quickly casted her arts against several people knocking them out.

"But what!?"

An Operator shouted.

"What can we-?!"

"AAAHHHHHH!!!!"

Scout and Ines screams caught their attention as (M/N) landed right in the middle of the action.

BAM! BOOM!

Sending a shockwave that knocked everyone else off their feet.

"AHH!" "WHAT THE FUCK!?" "*Wilhelm scream*"

"Thank you for using the (M/N) express!" (M/N) spoke up like an announcer. "Please carefully depart from the ride."

Ines and Scout did so.

Somehow holding in the urge to vomit.

"You fucking IDIOT!"

They screamed at him.

"What the hell is your problem!?"

Scout screamed.

That was 10 years of his life that he was never getting back!

"Did you save us, just to kill us with your own two hands!?"

Ines violently shook the male, as (M/N) said nothing.

"What?" He said after 10 seconds of being shaken. "It was the quickest way to get to the screams of despair!"

"And try to kill us in the process!?"

Before (M/N) could continue speaking.

"DOKTAH!"

Amiya came hurtling like a speeding bullet and grab (M/N) in a hug.

"Oof!"

"Doktah!" Amiya cried. "You're okay!"

The rest of the RI squad soon snapped out of their shock at seeing the Doctor true appearance.

"Doctor!" "You're okay!"

"So, that's the Doctor."

"Doctor." Ace greeted. "I'm glad to see that you're okay. We were quite surprised and worried when we didn't find you in that building."

Reunion was completely ignored in favor of the unexpected guests.

As for (M/N)?

"...Who the hell are you?"

Shattered their world with just a simple question.

Setting the stage for a journey far different than anything Rhodes Island has ever dealt with in the past.

Done!

So, Ines lives (though it's apparently been hinted that the Reunion soldier didn't even bother to check that she was actually dead and that in truth she had secretly survived) and we brought Scout back from the dead.

(M/N) learned a small bit of an interesting revelation.

And now they have reunited with Rhodes Island.

But...What effect will (M/N) words have on our dear RI group? Especially to those that had worked with him for a long time and now everything has been shattered to this entirely different version of the Doctor.

What will happen when (M/N) decides to fight Reunion?
