When we got back after the memorial I told my parents I just needed some time with my pups. They reluctantly left me at my house. I went into the kitchen and packed up several days worth of food into a bag. I then went and added some clothes. I picked up my pups and my mate's journal. I sprayed some scent begone on us. I then carefully walked and stopped and rest several times until I made my destination. It was the Ewok village.

I followed the directions written in their journal to the hidden steps inside the tree. Then I climbed up them. I found one of the rooms had their faint old scent. It had bunk double beds with blankets on them. I laid the girls down and curled up with one on each side of me. Then fell asleep.

The next morning I woke up with two girls playing peekaboo on me. I change their diapers. Then unpack the clothes from my bag. I then went to explore the different buildings. I discovered there were alot of huts set up with bunk beds. Then the bridges led to one that was set up in the middle as a kitchen. It had a hand pump into a wash basin. Plus had a small cast iron stove. Then a wooden plank table and benches. In the back corner behind a screen.

This place had been kept up. I went and grabbed the bag with food and carried it in here. Then fired up the wood stove and made breakfast for the girls and I. Then spent the day in that room playing with the girls. In the back corner by the screen I discovered a Murphy bed. I pulled it down and made that bed. I went and moved our clothes back into the kitchen area.

That evening I had a Lycan call up from down below. "Meri, this is Lycan Alpha Conrad Mitchell may I come up to check on you? You have your pack worried."

I sighed, "I wrote them a letter stating I just needed time to heal. I will open the entrance. I locked it." I unlock it and he comes up. He comes up to where I am at. I notice he sends others to check out the other buildings. "How did you know I was here? I used scent be gone and special firewood that would not scent or carry smoke."

"One of my patrols saw you and followed you. They recognize you as the betas' widow.  Your pack is worried because your suppose to be on bedrest."

"They were suffocating me. I just needed a place to go to heal. I miss them so much. If your worried I will kill myself because they are gone, I will not. I have these two pups to raise plus another one on the way."

"I know what you are going through. You at least have pups. My mate died 5 years ago and I threw myself into my work so I would not kill myself.  I am waiting and hoping for a second chance mate.  I will send a runner to your alpha that you are ok. Before I do I am going to have my pack doctor checked you over. If he gives you the all clear you can stay here but if he says your not then tomorrow we will escort you back."

Your doctor is not going to check me over."

"I am going to send him in now to check you over or you will be returned tomorrow to your pack.

I grumble, "I am ok, but you won't take no for an answer. Send him in, but no matter what he says I am staying here."

"Only staying if doctor gives all clear. Remember I am an Alpha and you are only a Beta's mate."

I growl at him. "I am the Alpha's oldest daughter. My mom was an Alpha's oldest daughter so I have double she-wolf Alpha blood through both parents. We are at least equal in rank. Now bring in your doctor. I still got to make supper and then get my little ones to bed."

He called in the doctor. He examines me. I go to place the screen up around the murphey bed. I struggle to move it into place it and he comes over and quickly gets it in place for me. The doctor comes in, "hello, I am Lycan Pack Doctor Apollo. How about we discuss why you were put on bed rest?"

I tear up and reply, "when I discovered my mate were hurt and later passed away- I passed out. We had just announced to the pack I was pregnant a few days ago on Christmas Day. My pup is due March 20. The doctor put me on bed rest. They were not letting me have my time with my girls. I know it is because they are concerned, but I needed time away from family. I need time to mourn, so took to their old village they came to as a child and adult."

"Well let me examine you."

While I was being examined  Alpha Conrad started making supper.  The doctor examined me. Afterwards he walked over to the alpha. "She is fine physically. The baby has a strong heartbeat and measures ok. I do think the fainting spells were basically from shock. I see no reason she cannot stay here. She is not suicidal because her pups give her the reason to live. I would like to suggest we use this place as the hospital base if she agrees to it. This place is only 2-1/2 miles from where we were going to set up base camp. I can check in on her once a day."

"Excuse me, but I am the patient and this place is where I am living. I came here to get away from being smothered by family and for alone time."

The doc looks at me, "my apologies. I get use to examining and reporting automatically to the alpha."

"Please remember not to do it again in regards to me. If you promise not to get in my alone time I grant you permission to set up here. I ask that this room and my mate's room remain off limits.  I will grant you permission to check on me once a day. Now let me get the girls at the table to eat. Thank you alpha for making something."

"It was just Veleveeta Mac and Cheese. Since you are going to let us use this place as base camp. In lew of payment how about we have the mess hall  provide you meals. You show us which room your mates is and I will mark it as off limits." I pointed out their room. Then they walked to the door. "Oh and don't forget to contact your family. I will send a runner to let them know your safe."

I link Issac, "Issac I am ok. I am right now with the Lycan. I am right now needing space to heal. I need time to mourn my mate's."

"Meri you taking off like that was irresponsible. We have rouges and possible a pack war starting. We don't want you and pups hurt."

"Issac, I am protected. Just give me time. I love you and send my love to the family. The Lycan alpha made his pack doctor check me out and the new pup and I are both fine. Now I am going to head to bed. Goodnight." Then I block him.

I lay the girls down and I snuggle under the blanket after I add another log into the stove. I then open up one of their journals I found in their room.

Last night we watch Star Wars again. Issac, Brett and I. We keep going back to the Ewok one. Their tree village is super cool. I suggested we make our own Ewok village. This morning we took off to the center of the territory. We found a large hollow tree.  We went back to the pack house to the workshop area warehouse. We found the medal spiral staircase. We took it apart and loaded parts into our wagon. We did several trips back and forth until we got the whole stairwell there. We then got three steps made when mom called us home.

Mom is happy we are getting our chores done. As soon as we finish them Issac, Bryan and I grab our bagged lunch and head to grab parts and tools from the workshop warehouse. We were gathering up what we thought we would need when we had Cam, Josh and Mike Wilson who are pack handyman and run the workshop spoke up and accused us of stealing. We were shocked and thought we were going to the dungeon.  They sat us down and explained we needed to ask for stuff. Then they asked what were we doing. We told them and they promised to keep our village a secret, but insisted on helping us. We at first were upset since we wanted to do it ourselves. They said we would be doing the work but they wanted to make sure we were doing it safe. They came with us. They said the tree we were making stairs in needed reinforced because a hollow tree is a rotting tree. They got some tubs of a sticky substance and as we built the stairwell up we applied this stuff.  The stairs was going to be 5 feet short so we spent a few days at the workshop learning how to add and make the stairwell go to the top. They also had us build a door that blended in with the tree. Now we have a secret entrance up to village.

I read how the Wilson triplets helped them that summer build the very room I was laying in.  Then over the next 3 years they kept building.  They found out their dad's knew of this place and a few warriors did also. Their dad had this area patrolled to check on them especially on nights they slept out here.  It was there dad who kept them stocked up on scent begone and the special firewood.  In this journal. I understood why it was called Ewok Adventures
I then picked up another journal I found in the bedroom. Over the next month I read them. This journal talked about school. I had just read about me.

Today we were running late for school. We were on our way to school when we heard crying, it was Meri. She had left school after her mom dropped her and Issac off. Issac had gone into class while Meri was playing. She said two boys pushed her down. They got her new dress dirty and hurt her knee. She was walking home to mommy and got lost.  We helped her get home. She described the boys who did it. We knew who they were. It was Ian  and John. When we got to school with a note from the Luna at recess that day we took care of them. They won't be bothering Meri again, but we got suspended for 3 days for fighting at school. Dad said he was proud we helped Meri, but we don't fight with pack members. We have extra chores this week, but Meri was worth it. We hope one day we get someone as nice as Meri for our mate.

I picked up a different journal. I have been just randomly reading the various journal entries over the last month. We got into a routine of I get up. I take a bath or sponge bath. Then I make a pot of coffee and heat up water for tea. The doctor and nurses join us for breakfast. Sometimes their Alpha does too. Some mornings the girls are awake and dressed and other mornings they wake up later.

Then after breakfast I play with the girls until lunch time. After lunch they take a nap. While they sleep I clean the room and pick up one of the journals to read. When they wake up from their nap I take them outside. If the Lycan give us the all clear I take them for a walk. Only twice were we not allowed down below and they were days they encountered some rouges. Those two days we went and visited a couple of the injured Lycan. Then we ate dinner with doctor and nurses. Once again occasionally the alpha joined us. During the time here different runners would show up with a tote from mom and dad. They would have clothes or some toys in it. One night for dinner on my third week here Mom and Dad and Brett's parents showed up for dinner too. The girls were so excited to see them. It was then I decided I would move back home. My last night in the village I pulled a journal out.

It is 11:55 and in 5 minutes we should start our first shift. We are both excited

Wow what a day. We went on our first pack run. It was so exciting to lead the pack on our run. We got back and changed and put on the robes they had placed out. We all the sudden could smell our mate, but realized we could not claim her. She was still a minor.

Brett- usually we write together in our journals but we decided to share our individual spots about how we felt on discovering our mate, Meri. We turned 16 and she is only 12. We will have to wait 4 years. Until then from a far I will have to make sure she is safe. I know we have always looked out for her, but we did that with all hers are siblings. I just will have to be careful around her. Werewolf laws are very specific about not claiming mates before they are of age. If it becomes a problem I know I will shipped off to another pack. Since I don't want that I will throw myself into training. Maybe it is time to go back to the village so she won't be as tempting.

Bryan- wow, Meri is our mate. The moon goddess was very good to make her ours. Grandpa and Grandma noticed my pained look. They pulled me to the side and I confessed to them the longing I had for Meri. They of course reminded me of the werewolf law. He said him and grandma saw this coming. They told me to report to their house tomorrow. They want help downsizing. They plan to move into the Elder's pack house. Then they would give us their house to up grade and make into our family home. I am excited and cannot wait until Brett and I can make a home for Meri. It is 1446 days and counting until we can claim our mate. Meri I do love you to the moon and back.

Well this morning I asked the doctor and nurses if they could watch the twins. I began to move all my clothes, journals, children toys into my mate's room. I gave that room a very through oh cleaning. I then packed up their clothes into the bag I carried here. Plus a couple of the totes. I used 2 totes to pack up some of my clothes. I linked dad and requested him and mom come here. Then after the twin's nap if they would help me walk them home. While the girls were sleeping I cleaned this room. I realized today was February 9. I have a one year old birthday party I would need to plan. While the girls were napping the doctor examined me again. He gave me the all clear for the walk, but suggested I lift nothing over 20 pounds. Which the girls were not they were 22.2 and 23.6 pounds, so was told only one at a time. Sit or lay down to hold both.

I was surprised when both parents and my siblings arrived. Then I noticed both Lucinda and Sophia are pregnant. I knew about Lucinda, but not Sophia. "Congratulations when did this happen?"

"I found out the day after Christmas. We announced it at the start of the year. I am due March 27 while you and Lucinda are due March 20."

Alpha Conrad walks up to us, "do not worry about your stuff. I will have the runners bring all your belongings later.  Since doctor has no patients him and the nurse and some of my Lycan warriors will walk you back." He looks at the Alpha and says, "three bears were spotted by the territorial border. We are going to investigate it and would rather our support staff be at the pack. Please link your pack to head to the safe rooms. Then have your warriors surround the pack house in case any get by us." He hands him a potion and says, "drink this. This will open up a link between the Lycan Pack and you. The warriors who are going with you will stay and assist you and pack warriors. We will make sure they are real bears and not shifters before we stand down. Quickly go and be safe." Issac drinks the potion.

Issac quickly messages the pack to head to safe room and then tells warriors to surround the pack house. Then send his third in command to check all the houses that no one was left behind while he was bringing his family back home. He had everyone who could shift- shift. He quickly put the pups on the Lycan in a basket. He carries his pregnant mate. Jacob carries his pregnant mate. Then Elder Alpha carries his pregnant daughter. They took off running back to the safe room.

They get back and all who were not warriors went to the safe room. Issac about 10 minutes later messaged this is not a drill. The bears have attacked the council members. Docs prepare for surgery 3 are being brought in code red.  The others escaped. Expect some councilman warriors also. Lycan are moving in to reinforce
