I yawned and stretched my arms out in the air as the morning breeze brushed my hair slightly back. I walked into the lodge to get some breakfast and to talk to my friend, Blue, who always seems to hang out in the lodge in the morning.

I saw my friend sitting at the counter, drinking some sort of juice.

"Hey, Blue!" I sat next to the aubern-haired boy.

Blue smiled.

"Yo. What's up?" He took a sip.

I yawned and rested my head on the counter.

"Hey, you look half asleep. You sleep well last night?" Blue asked. I heard concern lacing his words.

I yawned and nodded.

"It's too early." I mumbled. Blue frowned and went to get a drink to help me wake up. I close my eyes.

I woke up when I felt someone gently poking my arm. I saw Blue holding a glass of Pecha berry drink with caffeine in it. I blushed and took it from him and started to drink it. It was very sweet. So sweet, my fave scrunched up a bit from the flavor.

"It's-uh...it's a bit sweet, isn't it?" I asked.

Blue's face went pink.

"I guess I did add too many Pecha berries. But I knew you loved them since we were little." Blue explained with a smile.

My face went pink. He remembered that?

Blue chuckled.

"Heh, you know I'm the best when it comes to drinks. You're wide awake now." He grinned and I tensed.

"No! What do you mean? I'm still sleeping!" I closed my eyes.

Blue laughed.

I sighed and rested my head on his shoulder, nuzzling his neck. He gasped and soon relaxed. He brought me closer, enjoying the touch.

I felt his arms wrap around my waist and pull me on his lap.

"Whoa- wait, what are you doing?" A nervous chuckled escaped my mouth as he smirked.

"You'll see, beautiful." He placed his soft lips on mine. His hands gripped my clothing as he kissed me.

So many thoughts ran through my head.

Why did he suddenly kiss me?

Does he actually like me?

Is he pranking me?

Should I kiss him back?

After a while, I kissed him back. He smirked in the kiss and pulled away, laughing.

I knew it was just a prank.

"You're so mean to me!" I got up, spilling my drink over him, and ran out of the lodge.

Blue was trying to stop me, but it was too late.

I ran to the main lobby, tears brimming my eyes. I wiped them the best I could before my friend could see.

"Hey, Y/n! You okay? I thought I saw you crying when you came in." Ash, my friend, said. I couldn't hold it in anymore and sobbed. Ash gasped.

"What's the matter?!"

I told him how Blue pranked me into kissing him back and how I actually had feelings for the arrogant aubern.

Ash frowned and hugged me.

"I'm sorry that happened to you. Maybe he didn't mean to laugh in a 'haha just kidding' pranking way?"

I frowned and shook my head.

"That's not like him. Believe me, I've known Blue since we were real little." My voice trembled.

Ash frowned.

"Well maybe you should head to the Pokémon Center and get some rest. You look like you need it!"

"SO HE WAS LYING WHEN HE SAID I LOOK AWAKE!"

I made my way to the Pokémon center, asking for a room for one and brought my Pokémon out to keep me company for the rest of the day. It was already 2:00 o'clock!

My p/n (Pokémon name) came out and did its classic cry. I smiled and nuzzled it while I laid down.

I must have fallen asleep. The sky was dark purple when I came to, and I heard someone knocking on my door.

"Ash, go away, I'm fine now..." I mumbled.

The door opened and I saw a spiky-haired silhouette that came in and closed the door.

"Blue?"

Blue frowned. His face was lit by the street lights from outside that spilled into the room from the window.

"I'm so sorry, Y/n! I didn't mean to make you feel like this." Wait, was Blue...crying?!

"But you kissed me and laughed when I kissed back!" My face went pink from anger and embarrassment.

Blue sat next to me on the bed and grabbed my hand. I began to cry softly. He held me close to his chest, and then did the unthinkable.

He began to gently sing a song that he used to sing to me when we were little. Especially when I was upset. It would always calm me down.

Sure enough, I began to calm down. My eyes were wet, but no tears were being shed.

Blue held me in his arms, my head was resting against his chest that went up and down with his gentle breathing. It was then that I smelled the Pecha berry drink on his clothes. He didn't clean his clothes.

"I didn't kiss you to mess with you. I kissed you because I like you, loser."

My head lifted a little and my hands rested on his chest for support.

"Wait, you-"

He cut me off with a kiss that was filled with lots of passion and need.

I kissed back immediately this time.

He pulled away after a little while and grinned.

"I laughed because I was surprised you kissed me back!"

I blushed and chuckled after hearing his explanation that caused this mess.

"Let's get some sleep together. You look like you need it!" I said with a smile.

"Oh yeah? Not as much as you need it. You look terrible!" He laughed.

I laughed and playfully punched him.

"Take that back!"

He pinned me down.

"Never!"

We both laughed and nuzzled each other.

"You smell so sweet...like Pecha berry..."

"Oh, yeah...I was so upset about what happened that I never cleaned my shirt when you spilled your drink on me."

"The scent suits you! It's so sweet."

Blue gasped, then giggled.

"Of course it suits me!"

I chuckled and yawned, cuddling up with Blue.

"Night, Blue!"

"Good night, Y/n."
