You silently watch Wanda Maximoff as she stares up at the Avengers Compound. This will be her new home, the place where she will train to become an Avenger. Having nowhere else to go, she chose to come here and stay with the people she already knows. 

 You came here with her since she seems to need the company. She hasn't been the same since she lost her twin brother Pietro. You've done what you can, which hasn't been much; you've tried to be there for her to comfort her and to be a good friend, but you wonder if you're doing enough, if she needs more. 

 You walk up to stand next to her, and you look up at the compound. 

 "It's nice, right?" you say in a casual tone. "I think you'll like it. It's a great place, and you'll be safe here with the others." 

 She nods. "I suppose I will. A place like this must be safe with so many heroes inhabiting it, mustn't it? And I will soon be one of them." 

 "I think they already consider you one of them," you reply. "You're here because they want you to join them, Wanda. They're just have to train on how being an Avenger works." 

 "I know. I want to prove myself, Y/N. I want to prove I am worthy of being here, of being an Avenger." 

 "I don't think it'll be too hard to do that," you say. "I think you've already shown you have what it takes." 

 "Maybe. But I'm not the same now. Nothing is ever going to be the same without Pietro. I wanted to him to be here with me. I thought...we would become Avengers together." 

 That's what this hesitation is about, you realize. It's Pietro. She's afraid to this without her twin. 

 You wrap your arm around her, and she presses her face into your shoulder. Maybe this is all she needs, you think. Maybe she just needs someone who will be there to hug her and listen to her thoughts and her fears, which exactly what you have been doing. 

 "How about I walk you in?" you ask her. "I don't see how anyone could object to that."

 "All right. Let's go." 

 She takes your hand, and the two of you walk in together.
