Sweeney Todd #1 (Sweeney Todd)
A/N: This is sort a sequel to an imagine I wrote in my first multifandom imagines book.
~~~~~~
It has been a week since you first dared to enter Sweeney Todd's barber shop. You're afraid of going back that way, but there's also something inside you that is telling you to do exactly that. All of this is just too strange. It seems like people are just disappearing; you've seen people go into that barber shop and never come back out. There's something strange going on there, and you don't believe it only because the beggar woman says it is so; you've seen it with your own eyes.
It's a dark, dreary day when you finally get the courage to walk up to the barbershop. You stand outside for a few minutes, wondering if you really ought to go in. If this man, this Sweeney Todd really is a murderer, do you want to get in his way? Wouldn't it be better to just stay away from Fleet Street altogether?
Just one questioning, you think. Just a few innocent questions, and then you're gone.
You open the door and walk into the barbershop. Sweeney Todd is there, again cleaning his razors.
"You again?" he asks when he sees you. "I assume you are not lost."
"No, I'm not," you manage to say. "I was...I am looking for something."
"I see." He gently sets the razor down on the table. "Do tell."
"Well, you see, there's...there's been something strange going on around here. I am investigating it."
"You are...investigating." He eyes you skeptically. "Go on."
"People are disappearing, Mr. Todd. They are disappearing here on Fleet Street. Do you...do you have any idea what could be happening to them?"
He stares at you a long moment. You don't know if he's studying you or just trying to intimidate you, but you feel nervous either way.
"I have not been hearing any stories about people disappearing," he finally says. "You shouldn't be worrying and meddling with things like this, you know. You could get into quite a lot of trouble that way."
You nod. "Right. Of course. Well, I am sorry to have bothered you, then. Good day, Mr. Todd."
"Of course. What's your name?"
"Y/N." You decide to only give your first name, thinking it could make it harder for him to track you down that way.
"Yes. Well, good afternoon, Y/N. Watch yourself. You don't know why people are disappearing. You could be next."
You leave the barbershop with chills running down your spine. That man has the look of a killer, and the men are disappearing in his shop, which can only mean one thing: Sweeney Todd is a murderer.
You can't go to the police; why would they believe someone like you when Mr. Todd has a good reputation? And he isn't getting rid of anyone of any importance, so it won't make much of a difference.
There is a killer on Fleet Street, and so far it doesn't seem like there's anything you can about it, which makes you want to know why he's doing it. You wouldn't dare go back again, because he'll be suspicious of you already, but you still wish you knew the entire story.
