You have been dating Steve Rogers for a few months now. It's mainly been casual dating between the two of you, without it being anything too serious. However, lately you've been getting the feeling that Steve wants to be able to have something more serious with you. He's kind and honest, and you know he wants to tell you how serious he is about you. You want to have a more serious relationship with him, too, but it's something you're afraid to pursue. 

 Before Steve, you had been single for a while. The last relationship you were in didn't end well, and you chose to take a long break from romantic relationships afterwards. But Steve was the kind of man you felt you could have a good relationship with if you just dove in and took the chance, which is exactly what you've been afraid to do. 

 Steve brings it up while walking you home one evening, the conversation you've been bound to have. 

 "I've been thinking about you and me," he begins. "I have liked dating you, and I want to be able to keep going. I want us to be a more serious thing." 

 You nod. "I've thought about it, too, plenty of times." 

 "You have? So...does that mean you agree?" 

 "I...would like to have something more serious with you, Steve. Trust me, I do." 

 "But you're hesitating," he points out. "Why?" 

 "Because I've been in serious relationships before," you answer. "I've never had anything ever work out, and the last relationship I was in ended badly. That's why I was single for quite a while before I met you." 

 "So, I changed something?" 

 "When I met you, I knew you were the kind of guy I would want to go out with," you say. "You have definitely proved me right on that one. Which is why I've been seriously considering diving into a real, serious relationship with you. I want to." 

 "But will you?" 

 You think about it answering him, but you already know what it is you want. "Yes, Steve. I'm ready for this." 

 He smiles, and bends down to kiss you. You smile back at him, knowing you've made a good choice.
