Rosalie Hale #1 (Winchester!Reader)

When you first heard about vampires in Washington, you drove up that way as quickly as you could. You didn't take the time to do more research on it, so you are in for a surprise when you drive into some small town called Forks, only to find out that the area isn't currently in any danger whatsoever.

At first, you think that maybe another hunter must have already gone in and finished the job. But just in case there were still any vampires lurking around, you decide to go out after dark and see if there are any around.

Sure enough, you find one on the woods. It's a blonde woman feeding off of an animal. You pause for a quick moment, remembering your uncle told you once that vampires who feed off of animals are rare to find, but they aren't as bad as vampires who murder humans.

The woman picks up her head, and when you see her fangs and the blood on her mouth, you swing your knife and cut off your head.

You realize that probably wasn't the best idea, and you forget to dispose of the body before leaving the woods and heading back to your car. You put the knife in the trunk, and then close the trunk and lean against it. Maybe that just wasn't a good idea at all; there could be other vampires, ones who could come after you because you killed one of their own.  Getting out of Forks quickly would probably be the best thing to do.

"I guess you thought that was a good idea, huh?"

You turn around to find the same vampire from the woods is standing not ten feet away from you, head in her shoulders and looking alive and well.

"How-how did that not work?" You fumble to get the trunk open. "You're supposed to be-"

"Dead? I figured that. That doesn't work on me, so you clearly have the wrong information."

"No, that can't be. My father is Dean Winchester. He's one of the greatest hunters ever, and he taught me that."

"Then your father doesn't have all of his facts straight, does he?" she says. "I'm Rosalie, by the way. So, have you ever heard of vampires who only drink animal blood?"

"Yes. My uncle told me about it once."

"Then I think you should pay more attention to what your uncle tells you. If you saw drinking animal blood, you want to tell me why you felt the need to cut my head off?"

 "I...I don't know."

She sighs. "Great. You know what? You can drive me home. Getting your head cut off makes you not feel like walking."

She gets into the passenger seat of the car without waiting for you to answer.

The drive is silent, except for when Rosalie gives you directions. You're nervous being in the car with her, because you have no idea how to kill her if cutting her head off doesn't do the trick.

Eventually, you pull up to a big house where she says, "Thanks. I'd get out of here if I were you."

You drive away angry, mad at her and mad at yourself. At first you're mad at her for having such an attitude about everything, but then you remember that you did cut her head off without giving it a second thought, so maybe she had a reason.

When you knock on the door, a different woman, one with caramel-colored hair and a kind face, answers the door.

"Good morning. Can I help you?" she asks, looking at you curiously.

"Um, is...Rosalie here?" you ask hesitantly. "I don't know if she told you, but we met last night."

"Oh. Yes, she did mention it." She calls, "Rosalie, someone's here to see you!"

Rosalie appears in an instant. "Oh. The Winchester. What are you doing back here?"

"Um...I think maybe I owe you an apology for last night," you answer.

"You think?" Rosalie turns to the other woman. "Can you give us a few minutes alone?"

Rosalie steps outside and closes the front door. "So, a vampire hunter coming to apologize to a vampire he tried to kill. That's new."

You sigh. "Yeah. I just...felt like I owed you an apology. I think I jumped to too many conclusions with this one. I'm not used to going out hunting on my own."

Her face softens, and her frown disappears. "I see. Well, at least you didn't kill me, right? Could have been worse."

"Yeah. Hey, how do you die?"

She smirks. "No way I'm telling you. What's you name again?"

 "It's Y/N."

"Right. Well, Y/N Winchester, you almost killed Rosalie Hale, but only almost. So, I guess I'll see you around. Or maybe not, for my head's sake."

Rosalie turns and goes back inside, leaving you standing outside alone. For a vampire and a hunter-and ones who certainly got off on the wrong foot-it feels like you likes you a little, and you like her.
