Leah Clearwater #1
It's a warm, beautiful day as you and Leah walk along the beach. There doesn't seem to be anyone else around, and it looks like you have the whole beach to yourselves.
"It's good to know we'll be having more days like this coming," you point out.
She nods. "Yeah, I guess it is."
You gently slip your hand into hers, and she holds it as you quietly walk together.
But despite it seeming like there won't be any issues, there soon is one. You notice a few Leah's fellow wolves nearby: Sam, Paul, Jared and Quil. You notice that they're going back and forth between talking quietly together and staring at you and Leah.
"Is this going to be any trouble?" you ask Leah. You know that Sam is Leah's ex, and she doesn't seem to get along with any of the others particularly well.
"Depends on what kind of mood everyone's in today." She tightens her grip on your hand. "Come on."
She begins to pull you closer to them, as if she intends to walk right past as she's ignoring them, like she might be trying to prove some kind of point. Whatever it is, it probably has to do with Sam, since he's the pack leader and her ex.
"Who's your friend, Leah?" you hear one of them ask.
You can sense how annoyed Leah is right now, and neither of you respond to the question. She only seems to want to keep walking.
"Hey, Leah, hold on a minute," Sam says as the two of you walk past them.
You pause and look up at him, suddenly a little angry. "What do you want, huh? Can't you guys just leave her alone for once?"
You take the time to look at each of them in turn. You know which one is Sam, but you're not sure with the other three; this is your first time in an actual conversation with them, so you don't know which is which.
"Hey, do you want something or what?" one of them asks, obviously uncomfortable with you staring at them.
"Probably not anything from you," Leah snaps.
"Exactly," you say, staring at each of them in turn. "I think I can see why she's not too fond of any of you." You look up at Sam. "Especially you. I've definitely heard all about you."
"You know what, why don't you shut up and get on with whatever it is you two are doing?" one of them snaps. "We don't even know you. Are you Leah's new girlfriend for something?"
"Why don't you mind your own business?" you shoot back at him. "You didn't have to acknowledge us when we were walking by, but you did. And by the way, I don't think who I am is any of your business."
The same one who spoke growls at you, and begins to phase into a wolf. You immediately feel a little afraid, and you back away, wondering if the others will do the same.
"Paul, stop it!" Leah yells, pulling you away. "Guys, stop him already! Come on, let's just leave," she says to you.
"At least I can actually name one of them now," you say as you walk away.
"Y/N, stop it." Leah stops walking and looks you in the eyes. "I can't have anything happen to you, not now. You can't just go and do stuff like that."
You nod. "So you haven't told them anything about me?"
"No." She crosses her arms. "It's none of their business."
"I would think one of the pack imprinting on someone would be their business," you point out. "Maybe we can all learn to get along somehow."
"Trust me, they probably won't like you." She wraps her arms around you. "I want you to be safe."
"I am safe," you insist. "I know how to look after myself, and I have you." You smile at her. "With you always around, what other protection am I going to need?"
You gently squeeze her hands. Of all the werewolves who could have imprinted on you, you wouldn't have wanted it to be anyone else.
