You and Garrett are the type of nomads who are constantly on the move. Garrett knows other vampires, but the two of you normally travel alone. 

 However, one day you're visited by Emmett Cullen and Rosalie Hale. You've never met them before, and you soon find out that they're the adopted children of Carlisle Cullen. You've never met Carlisle yourself, but you know Garrett knows him. 

 "Well, whatever's going on has to be pretty important if you two came all this way to find me," Garrett says. He sits down and wraps his arm around you. "What's going on?" 

 "We need help," Rosalie begins, "From as many vampires as possible. My niece Renesmee is in danger. Our brother Edward married a girl named Bella while she was still human, and she got pregnant on their honeymoon. Somehow, the Volturi found out about Renesmee, and they think she's an immortal child." 

 "And immortal children are illegal," Garrett finishes. 

 "We have to be able to prove she's half-human," says Emmett. "This isn't anything any of us or the Volturi have ever seen before, so we need plenty of witnesses backing us up." 

 Garrett looks at you. "What do you think, Y/N?" 

 You nod. "I think we should help if a child's life is in danger." 

 "All right." Garrett turns back to Rosalie and Emmett. "We'll come to Forks." 

 When you arrive in Forks, the Cullen house is packed with vampires, either members of their own covens or visitors. You're a witch who isn't used to being around so many vampires at once; you're used to it just being you and Garrett so you're a little nervous when you first arrive. However, you soon meet the members of the Denali Coven: Tanya, Kate, Carmen and Elezear. You're not as nervous around them once you get to know them, and you begin to think of them as friends. 

 Thankfully, everything eventually works out for the Cullens. In the end, they do prove that young Renesmee Cullen is half-human and not an immortal child, so they can't say she's a danger. 

 Once everything's over, you expect to leave sometime soon, but you notice Garrett seems to like sticking around. He spends a lot of time talking with the Denalis, and you wonder if he's up to anything. 

 You soon find out he is, because he asks you, "Y/N, what do you think of joining the Denali Coven?" 

 You raise your eyebrows. "Really?" You're not too surprised, though, because you had a feeling that was what he was going to say. 

 "Yeah. A couple of weeks ago, Elezear came and asked me about it while you were sleeping. I told him if you wanted to, I'd perfectly happy to join them. I know you're used to it being just the two of us, so what do you think?" 

 After mulling it over in your head for a few moments, you give him a nod and say, "Okay." 

 He smiles and chuckles. "Great. Come on, then." He takes your hand. "Let's go tell everybody we finally got ourselves a permanent home. We especially have to tell the Denali Coven, since we'll be living with them. I think this is going to work out well for us." 

 You nod. "Me, too."
