Barry Allen #1
You have known Barry Allen since you were both teenagers. Like him, you've been different from everyone else for a long time. Since you were a child, you've had these strange powers having to do with fire-in a way, you're able to control the element itself. It's something you know is best kept secret, and before meeting the rest of the Justice League, you only ever shared it with Barry. You have other people to share your secret with now, but you still feel the closest connection to Barry.
You know you're in love with Barry, but you haven't told him so. You don't know how, what you would even say to him. You haven't gotten the notion that he's in love with you, so you don't know if it would even be a good idea to share your feelings with him.

One morning, the Justice League gets together for a team meeting, and then afterwards everyone hangs around to chat. There are currently no major threats anywhere in the world that the team has to worry about, so everyone is able to relax a little for the time being.
During this, you watch Barry, who is currently in conversation with Bruce Wayne. You'd like to go over and join Barry, but you also don't want to interrupt their conversation.
Sitting next to you is Diana Prince. When you first met the rest of the Justice League, Diana was the first one you made friends with. She's kind and wise, and you feel comfortable talking to her.
You notice that Diana is also looking in Barry's direction. She then turns to you and remarks, "You seem very interested in whatever they're doing. Why don't you go join them?"
You shake your head. "No. I don't want to interrupt or anything."
"Oh, I don't think you would be interrupting. You know Barry likes your company."
You shrug. "Yeah. I guess he does."
"You know he does." She gives you a bit of a sly look. "You still like Barry, don't you?"
"Well, yeah, of course I do. Um, why?"
"Y/N, I've noticed," Diana says. "The way you look at him. How long have you been in love with him for?"
Your eyes widen. You didn't realize anyone had guessed you're in love with Barry, or had any idea at all.
"Um...a long time." You sigh. "Since we were teenagers."
"But why not tell him?" she asks.
You shrug again. "I don't know. I guess...maybe I'm just afraid to."
Diana gives you a sympathetic look. "You could always try, you know. There are times when it's worth it to do it and see where it leads."
You nod. "I guess so."
But you takes what she says to heart, and wonder when a good time would be to tell Barry how you feel.
